Imagine Entertainment’s Brian Grazer, Morgan Spurlock, and comedian/actor Russell Brand are set to appear at next year’s South By Southwest confab, which today announced the first wave of 2015 Convergence speakers. The announcement of over 60 sessions includes panels in the growing SXsports program, TV, and Digital sidebars. Stacy Alexander has been upped to senior vp talent and casting at VH1.
Alexander oversees a talent department responsible for connecting talent with particular programming ideas, be they the talent's own ideas or projects generated by VH1's production and development executives.
Alexander, who was vp talent and creative, joined VH1 in 2001 as director of casting after serving as the in-house casting director at Spelling Entertainment.
In addition, VH1 announced three other promotions in its talent department: Leah Horwitz has been upped to vp music talent and creative development, and Trevor Rose and Denise Bishop have been named directors of talent and creative development.
