Spoiler Alert… I f**king loved Space Wars: Quest for the Deepstar.
This was quite possibly the most fun I have had watching a sci-fi movie as of late… Any budget! You know you’re in for an absolute ride when in the first 10 minutes the line “I’m going to bathe in your blood and tears” is dropped. Normally a scary thought if it hadn’t been for the massive lava dragon wormy dinosaur thing moments prior.
I will always be a fan of a movie that is fully aware that it maybe doesn’t have the budget it needs to be the movie it wants to be, but does not let that stand in its way of throwing...

Plot: Space scavengers and a group of mercenaries race across the cosmos in a search for a long-lost freighter that is said to contain great treasure.
Review: I have a lot of admiration for filmmakers who don’t let financial limitations stifle their creativity or force them to minimize the scope of their stories. In that regard, there’s a lot to admire about director Garo Setian’s sci-fi adventure film Space Wars: Quest for the Deepstar. Just like the title instantly brings to mind Star Wars, Space Wars is reminiscent of the low budget sci-fi movies producers like Roger Corman pumped out in the wake of the original Star Wars’ success. You know, movies like Battle Beyond the Stars and the movies that featured stock footage from Battle Beyond the Stars. Space Wars just happens to have been made on an even lower budget than those had.

"It can't be found." Neither can any good directors, I guess. Uncork'd Ent. has revealed an official trailer for a low budget sci-fi creation called Space Wars: Quest for the Deepstar, marking the feature directorial debut of an editor named Garo Setian. Yeah there isn't much here. The title and the footage looks like it's another The Asylum spoof, with even worse VFX. Life is an adventure for space scavengers Kip Corman and his daughter Taylor as they navigate their ship through a universe filled with monsters, aliens, and robots in order to reach the mythical Deepstar and collect the riches within. They want to make bank in hopes that the money will allow them to bring back their loved one from the dead. The action-packed sci-fi adventure movie stars Michael Paré, Olivier Gruner, Sarah French, Tyler Gallant, Rachele Brooke Smith, and Sadie Katz. This looks so hilariously bad, it's beyond parody,...

It’s been a while since I’ve watched a low-budget sci-fi action movie that wants to be a big-budget sci-fi movie but that’s exactly what you get with Space Wars: Quest For The Deepstar. The filmmakers did not let a lack of funds get in the way of lots of CGI, huge monsters, spacecraft and futuristic weaponry!

I have watched too many Danny Trejo movies to know that just by having his name on the poster and physical media artwork does not guarantee a good movie. Of course, he’s been in some movies I absolutely love but his name is often used when he features for little more than seconds in a movie and I thought that would probably be the case with The Last Exorcist.
I wasn’t far wrong, to be honest but Danny Trejo’s role here could be called a little bit more than a cameo. In The Last Exorcist, we follow two sisters who have had a difficult upbringing and have neither of their parents still with them.

"I believe the evil has entered into her body and she's not in her right mind." Uncork'd Ent. has released an official trailer for an indie horror thriller titled The Last Exorcism, the latest from filmmaker Robin Bain. This exorcism thriller is about two sisters who are haunted by the demons of their past. After every priest trained in exorcisms die in a terrorist attack, Jo must battle a demon on her own. Starring Terri Ivens, Danny Trejo, Rachele Brooke Smith, and Cate Jones. Everything about this is strange, it seems to be more of a vanity project featuring Trejo than anything actually interesting in the horror genre. This trailer is all over the place - wayyy too much going on. And why so much stripping? What an odd bargain bin horror. "A couple of people I trust say you're really good at this." Warner Bros has unveiled the first full, red band trailer for Shane Black's The Nice Guys starring one amazing duo: Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe. Gosling plays a private detective who ends up mixed up with Crowe's Jackson Healy, a shady character that helps people in trouble. The full cast includes Matt Bomer, Kim Basinger, Rachele Brooke Smith, and Ty Simpkins. This looks like crazy, raucous, violent fun. It's supposedly a "spiritual sequel" to Black's Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang and it definitely has that vibe. I'm so glad they went red band on this, because that's the best way to sell this. It wouldn't work as well if they censored everything. You don't want to miss this! A brand new Shane Black movie?! Yes indeed! People magazine has revealed the first official photo from the upcoming Shane Black movie The Nice Guys, described as a "half whimsical private-eye movie" and "spiritual sequel" to Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang. Starring Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe, the 70s-set story involves a private eye investigating the apparent suicide of a fading porn star in Los Angeles who uncovers a conspiracy. "Really great actors will feed on the other actor," Black tells the magazine, and it seems like he found the perfect pair for this next caper. The full cast includes Matt Bomer, Kim Basinger, Rachele Brooke Smith, and Ty Simpkins. This photo doesn't show much, just the two sitting together. Take a look below. From director Justin Price, and starring Danny Trejo, Eric Roberts, and Rachele Brooke Smith, comes a new exorcism flick, The Cloth, which will be for sale at the upcoming Berlin market. With the official website launched, we've also landed the official sales art that looks quite similar to Lionsgate's The Last Exorcism. " 'The Cloth' is a horror \ action-sci-fi thriller centered on a secret organization formed by the Catholic Church to counteract the rising cases of demonic possessions across the country. With the arrival of the Devils General Kasdeya on earth, the members of the Cloth have only seven days to stop the crossover of the ultimate evil into our realm. To stop Beelzebubs arrival, their mission depends on Jason (Kyler Willett), a young godless man, to lead the next generation of Cloth members before the Devil and his armies walk the earth."...

Just as we had seen in the wake of Paranormal Activity, which spawned countless supernatural imitators, expect plenty of exorcism-fueled fare to come post-The Devil Inside.
Shock got wind of a new film in post-production called The Cloth, from writer-director Justin Price. Danny Trejo, Eric Roberts, Rachele Brooke Smith, Kyler Willett and Steven Brand. (Please tell me we see Trejo performing an exorcism...)
Smiith's background includes a lot of background dancing in various films - is a dance-off with the Devil in store for us here? - and Brand was recently seen in Hellraiser: Revelations.
