Captain Jason Chambers quickly became a fan favorite from the moment he first appeared on Below Deck Down Under.
The hunky captain had Below Deck fans and his own crew members gushing over him.
However, Captain Jason had no idea the show was such a big deal before Below Deck Down Under aired.
The Bravo personality also didn’t realize how much his life would change from the show.
Boy, has it ever changed! That was proved more than ever at BravoCon last year when all the ladies wanted a piece of the hot captain.
As Below Deck Down Under fans anxiously wait for Season 3, Captain Jason has revealed his initial thoughts about the yachting franchise.
Here’s why Captain Jason Chambers thinks he was ‘naïve’ about Below Deck Down Under

Below Deck reunions have become a thing of the past and viewers are not happy about it at all.
In the past year, only one of the Below Deck shows had an end-of-season reunion show to hash things out.
Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 4 featured a two-part virtual reunion, which was explosive and oh-so-good.
The virtual chat gave fans answers to what really happened between Daisy Kelliher and Colin MacRae after cameras were spotted rolling and more.
Now, as Below Deck Med Season 8 came to a close without a reunion, virtual or in person, fans are wondering what Bravo has going on.
After all, the Real Housewives and other Bravo shows get multi-part reunions, so why is Below Deck getting the shaft?
Let’s take a look at what we know.
Why are Below Deck reunions not happening anymore?

Back in August, Below Deck Down Under was lauded for its handling of sexual misconduct on screen when Captain Jason Chambers fired Luke Jones, bosun of the deck crew, after he — while naked — attempted to get into bed with junior stewardess Margot Sisson without her consent.
The crew returned after a night of drinking in Australia where the season was filming and Luke tried to climb into bed with Margot even though she was asleep. In a rare move on Below Deck and in reality television in general, a producer...

Below Deck loves a good cast crossover, but the show has its fair share of yachties who won’t likely return to the show ever again.
Some crew members were fired from the show for dangerous or unacceptable behavior. While others have said they won’t ever return to Below Deck. So who are the yachties the least likely to return to Below Deck?
These ‘Below Deck’ yachties will never return to the series
Some crew members behaved so badly, Below Deck producers won’t ever hire them again. Most recently, Below Deck Down Under bosun Luke Jones, who was fired for almost sexually assaulting another crew member, makes the short list of banned yachties.
Another crew member who won’t return is deckhand Pete Hunziker from Below Deck Med Season 5. During his season, Hunziker shared a racist and sexist meme on Instagram. When fans called him out, he doubled down.

Gary King is being accused of sexual harassment. In a new Rolling Stone exposé, Samantha Suarez, who worked in the makeup department for “Below Deck Sailing Yacht”, claims that the cast member tried to force himself on her during production of season 4, which took place in the summer of 2022 in Sardinia, Italy. Et has reached out to King and Suarez for comment.
In a statement to Et, Bravo, the network that airs the “Below Deck” franchise, said it “is committed to maintaining a safe and respectful workplace for cast and crew on our reality shows.”
“We require our third-party production companies to have appropriate workplace policies and trainings in place and a clear process on how to report concerns,” Bravo said. “The concerns Ms. Suarez raised in July 2022 were investigated at that time and action was taken based on the findings.”

Bravo’s Below Deck was recently lauded for its handling of sexual misconduct when a producer on Below Deck Down Under broke the “fourth wall” and intervened when one cast member, Luke Jones, tried to get into bed naked with another cast member, Margot Sisson, without her consent while she was inebriated and passed out. Not only was Luke fired from the show, but their fellow cast member and stewardess, Laura Bileskalne, was also let go because of victim-blaming comments she made to Margot about the incident and her own...

Captain Lee Rosbach is speaking out on the sexual misconduct incidents that took place on this week’s episode of “Below Deck Down Under”.
During Monday’s episode, Luke Jones and Laura Bileskalne were both fired as a result of their “despicable” behaviour, as Rosbach described while chatting with Us Weekly.
“I’m sure they’ll be paying the price for it for a long time to come. As they should,” the “Below Deck” captain told the outlet.
When the “Down Under” crew returned to the superyacht after a night spent drinking alcohol off the boat, Jones climbed into third stew Margot Sisson’s bed naked and “without consent” while she was asleep, despite the fact that she’d made it clear she didn’t want him in her cabin.

Two Below Deck Down Under stars were fired after engaging in inappropriate behavior with other crew members.
Luke Jones and Laura Bileskalne were both fired for sexual misconduct during season 2. Monday’s episode showed that Captain Jason Chambers fired Jones for climbing into stewardess Margot Sisson’s bed while naked without her consent while she was sleeping.
Bileskalne was also fired for her inappropriate behavior regarding how she reacted to the incident that occurred with Sisson and Jones and a separate incident with Adam Kodra that same night.
The night first started with the crew going out in Cairns, Australia, together. Many of them took multiple shots and Sisson commented that she felt “really drunk” while at dinner. As the night ended, everyone took taxis back to the boat. The deckhand Culver Bradbury was then told by the chief stew Aesha Scott that she wanted to “watch” Sisson. She remarked...

On Below Deck Down Under Season 2 Episode 7, airing Monday on Bravo, Jason fired Luke Jones after he got into stewardess Margot Sisson's bed naked as she slept.
Laura Bileskalne was fired later in the episode for sympathizing with Luke, comments to Margot about the incident, and her inappropriate actions towards deckhand Adam Kodra.
"Hi everybody, I'm sure you're digesting episodes six and seven as I am," Chambers said on Instagram.
"I've had a flood of messages over the last 24 hours from people in similar situations, some not so lucky of the outcome, so my heart goes out to them."

Below Deck Down Under’s Margot Sisson has spoken out following the series of sexual misconduct incidents during the August 7 episode, one of which saw crewmate Luke Jones climb into her bed naked without consent. Two cast members of the Bravo series were fired during the shocking episode. Bosun Jones was fired after climbing into Sisson’s bed naked without her consent while she was passed out drunk. Second stew Laura Bileskalne was later fired for her inappropriate behavior toward deckhand Adam Kodra the same night and her insensitive reaction to Jones and Sisson’s incident. The show’s producers and Captain Jason Chambers acted swiftly following both allegations of sexual misconduct. The day after the episode aired, Sisson thanked fellow crewmate Aesha Scott, who intervened while she was passed out drunk. “The way she recognized the vulnerability of the situation I was in and her courageous intervention on my...

Brittini Burton, a Below Deck Down Under Season 1 deckhand, said it is important to emphasize how the women came together on the boat following the sexual assault filmed during season 2.
Chief stew Aesha Scott became extremely protective of stew Margot Sisson after bosun Luke Jones came to her cabin naked while she was unconscious. He climbed into her bunk, which is when producers intervened. Horrified, Scott ended up staying with Sisson for some time while she slept to protect her. She then told Captain Jason Chambers who swiftly removed Jones from the boat. Jones was fired the next day.
Burton, who currently runs a female empowerment business, applauded how both Scott and chef Tzarina Mace-Ralph nurtured and supported Sisson after the incident. She said the display of support and protection was extremely important and should be applauded.

In the opening scenes of the latest episode of Below Deck Down Under, we saw something that pretty much never happens on the Bravo yachting franchise: a producer appeared. For the “fourth wall” to be broken, it was clear something deadly serious was about to happen.
A naked Luke Jones — bosun/leader of the deck crew on the charter season — had just climbed into junior stewardess Margot Sisson’s bunk bed. The crew had returned from a night out in Australia where they had been drinking heavily. Margot was passed out in bed and immobile.

New Below Deck Down Under bosun João Franco got a less than thrilling welcome from chief stew Aesha Scott because they majorly clashed the last time they worked together.
Franco will replace fired bosun Luke Jones and while he and Scott don’t totally hate each other, she blocked him on social media after they worked together on Below Deck Mediterranean Season 4, especially after Franco referred to Scott as looking like a “Russian prostitute” during the season.

Scott wanted to confront Franco at the Below Deck Med Season 4 reunion, but they didn’t film a reunion that season. At one point Franco made a derogatory comment about Scott’s outfit when the crew was out on the town.

Exclusive: BBC News journalists had begun work on a potential exposé about Huw Edwards prior to The Sun newspaper sparking a UK media storm about the presenter, Deadline can reveal.
BBC sources said Newsnight anchor Victoria Derbyshire was examining accusations about Edwards’ conduct in the days before The Sun made explosive claims about the star allegedly paying a teenager for explicit images.
Derbyshire’s enquiries last week raised eyebrows among some BBC staff and it is not clear if senior editors in the news unit were aware of the work. The revelation has also sparked questions over whether allegations about Edwards were circulating in the newsroom and if senior managers were informed.
Newsnight broadcast its findings on Wednesday night, just hours after Edwards was named as the presenter who had been suspended by the BBC after five days in which his identity was kept out of mainstream media reporting.
