- Megan Charpentier was born in New Westminster, British Columbia. She began her career in commercials, and graduated to dramatic work by playing the role of a young Amanda Seyfried, first in JENNIFER'S BODY(2009) and again in RED RIDING HOOD (2011). Megan's breakthrough role was Guillermo Del Toro's MAMA (2013) directed by Andy Muschietti, and starring opposite Jessica Chastain and Nikolai Coster-Waldau. Other notable roles include Kate in THE SHACK (2017) opposite Sam Worthington and Octavia Spencer, and Gretta in the adaptation of Stephen King's IT (2017), reprising her role once again in IT:CHAPTER TWO(2019). More recently, she starred in Paramount+'s DANGEROUS GAME, opposite Jon Voight, and will feature in the upcoming Canadian indie THE ISLAND BETWEEN TIDES. In her young career, Megan has held her own alongside many of Hollywood's seasoned stars, bringing compassion and honesty to a range of performances.
