“Dancing with the Stars” premiered in 2005 with a focus on teaching celebrities some fancy footwork. But along the way the professional dancers who teach and partner with those celebrity amateurs became stars in their own right. Many of them returned to the show year after year, and over a dozen have won the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy over the course of the series. Scroll down to see every single “DWTS” pro champion, listed by their number of victories.
It’s fitting that the “DWTS” pros have become fan-favorites because they’re not just dancers. They’re also trainers, choreographers and storytellers, and their chemistry with the stars fuels the show’s best routines, so they’re truly the lifeblood of the competition, especially when they bring talent and charisma out of unexpected places, from child stars to race car drivers to one male model, Nyle Dimarco, who won the Mirror...

Who will go home on “Dancing with the Stars” at the end of “A Celebration of Taylor Swift”? For weeks many “DWTS” fans have predicted “Too Hot to Handle” star Harry Jowsey for elimination in our predictions center, but for weeks they’ve been wrong. So perhaps we should consider that there will be another shocking ouster after the earlier-than-expected exits of celebs like Mira Sorvino and Lele Pons in past weeks. Perhaps that surprise will be at the expense of one-time Mirror Ball Trophy front-runner Charity Lawson.
The “Bachelorette” star isn’t the most likely to go home tonight according to our odds, though. As of this writing it actually looks like a close call between “Buffy” and “How I Met Your Mother” star Alyson Hannigan and — you guessed it — Harry Jowsey. Hannigan is the most likely to exit, getting leading odds of 2/1. She had a ballroom breakthrough on “Music Video Night,...

Going into tonight’s “Music Video Night” on “Dancing with the Stars,” three celebrities appear to be at the greatest risk of elimination: “Too Hot to Handle” star Harry Jowsey, “Buffy” and “How I Met Your Mother” alum Alyson Hannigan and “Brady Bunch” veteran actor Barry Williams. That’s according to the combined predictions of “DWTS” fans who have placed their bets here in our predictions center since last week. Make or update your own forecasts before tonight’s show.
Jowsey has had a rough road on “DWTS,” at least when it comes to his judges’ scores. Out of six previous weeks of competition, he has been at the bottom of the leaderboard three times, including for the last two weeks in a row. On “Monster Night” he was dejected by the fact that a number of online fans were criticizing him too. But he has been safe every single week regardless,...

As fans of The Voice, we’re the first to admit the reality TV series doesn’t feel the same without Blake Shelton in season 24. Reba McEntire does her best to fill the country star void, but Shelton’s star power is certainly missed. Before he was totally off the air, he joked about coming to terms with his choice of leaving the series behind. And Shelton joked that the show became “so easy” for him to win.
Blake Shelton joked about how easy it was for him to win ‘The Voice’
The Voice Season 24 continues (somehow) without Blake Shelton. While Niall Horan brings plenty of confidence heading into season 24 following his season 23 win, Shelton once joked that the show felt easy for him to win, as he brought home nine wins. Thus, he had to leave it all behind. He gave an interview with the Bobby Bones Show about leaving the series.

‘Dancing With the Stars’ Fans Recall the Finale That Almost ‘Broke’ the Series: ‘No One Expected It’
Of all the memorable moments Dancing With the Stars has historically provided for its loyal viewers, there was one that topped them all. Viewers call this the finale that almost “broke the series,” claiming “no one expected” the outcome that sent the ballroom into a tizzy. Here are all the details.
‘DWTS’ fans recall the finale that almost ‘broke’ the series
Fan votes were always critical to Dancing With the Stars success. They remain an integral part of getting celebrities to the next round of the competition.
However, there was a time when voting was unlimited for fans of a particular star. Rumors of over-voting for a specific celebrity were not uncommon. But there was no more circumstance of that happening when, during Dancing With the Stars season 27, the finale results shocked viewers and the season’s finalists.
Bobby Bones was declared the season’s champion after scoring 8s weekly alongside pro Sharna Burgess.

The first judges save was introduced in season 28, after season 27 saw controversial winner Bobby Bones take home the Mirror Ball trophy. The “judges save” in season 28 (and onward) was able to help prevent some of the stronger dancers from going home.

Cheryl Burke is weighing in on the comments her former “Dancing With the Stars” fellow pro dancer Sharna Burgess recently made about difficult dance partners.
Burke — who has been promoting her new iHeartRadio podcast “Sex, Lies, and Spray Tans” — spoke to Et Canada’s Sangita Patel, insisting anyone wanting to know who her “least favourite” partner was would have to tune in to her podcast.
She did say “he’s a male” when asked for a hint.
“I mean, she made it pretty obvious, right? Like she did say after she won with Bobby Bones, so, I mean, you guys just need to Google it.”
The star then said of Burgess’ comments, which people have assumed are about Jesse Metcalfe: “She’s actually going to be my next guest. I’m interviewing her at the iHeart Music Festival in Vegas very soon in a few days here. Her and...

Not everyone is excited about the new cast of “Dancing With the Stars.” Following Wednesday’s announcement of the pros and celebrities set to compete on Season 32, former cast member Sharna Burgess expressed his disappointment in the casting of Adrian Peterson.
“There’s one person that I’d like to share that I’m really shocked is on there is Adrian Peterson, the football player… The man has been charged with child abuse of his four-year-old son in the way that he punishes him and that is just devastating for me,” Burgess said during the latest episode of iHeartRadio’s “Old-ish” podcast. “I’m telling you now if I walked into a room and that was my partner, I would turn around and walk right out. There is no way — now being a mother — I would be able to stomach that.”
The NFL running back has a history of legal woes.

Well, that was something. The 2023 ACM Awards ended on a Texas-sized downer, with Dolly Parton giving the premiere of the new song “World on Fire” from her upcoming rock project and showering the audience not only with confetti, but with a sense of impending doom while dancers twirled around her.

As host of the national country-music morning program The Bobby Bones Show, DJ Bobby Bones knows firsthand the deep-rooted connection between country music and gun culture. But that didn’t stop him from speaking out in favor of gun regulation after a school shooting in Nashville on Monday that left three 9-year-old students and three adult school staff members dead.
In an Instagram Story post on Monday, Bones wrote about the lack of nuance in the gun control debate and blamed politicians for dividing their constituents. “I am a proud gun owner,...

Exclusive: Bobby Bones-fronted social experiment Snake In The Grass won’t be returning to USA Network.
The NBCUniversal cable network has cancelled the reality series after one season.
It comes after the broadcaster renewed Blake Shelton and Carson Daly’s Barmageddon for a second season after it became its best series premiere in nearly three years.
Snake In The Grass and Barmageddon were both part of USA Network’s latest unscripted slate, which was unveiled last May. The slate also included Race To Survive Alaska, from Deadliest Catch producer Original Productions, which is launching in April.
Snake in the Grass saw groups of four strangers who are dropped into the wild with a chance to win $100,000. In order to win, the team had to figure out which one of them is the Snake – a saboteur who is secretly undermining the group every step of the way.

iHeartMedia, the largest audio media company in the U.S. and the top podcast publisher globally according to Podtrac, today launched new brand safety technology for podcast advertising powered by Sounder, an audio intelligence platform that builds foundational podcasting technology. iHeartMedia is the first to go live with Sounder’s AI and Machine Learning (Ml) technology, giving brands episode-specific safety assurance, a level of precision previously unavailable in podcast inventory, at scale.
With the rapidly growing podcast advertising market expected to surpass $3 billion in 2023, there has never been a greater time to prioritize brand safety. Sounder is the first to help advertisers deem if a podcast episode is brand safe before an ad runs, enabling advertisers to plan and execute campaigns with confidence.

Country star Miranda Lambert glammed up for the Grammys and revealed her biggest pet peeve about attending awards shows. Without giving too much away, it’s something understandable even to people who have never been near a red carpet.
As Lambert has illustrated, sometimes looking like a superstar means going through things that aren’t fun. And there’s one part of the process that leaves her “miserable” every time.

It’s going to be that kind of season, isn’t it? “Dancing with the Stars” has one celeb who judge Derek Hough called the people’s champion since he has been safe every week on the strength of viewer votes despite consistently low judges’ scores: “Jersey Shore” star Vinny Guadagnino. He was safe from the bottom two again on “Michael Buble Night” despite being at the bottom of the leaderboard, so country singer Jessie James Decker ended up eliminated instead. But while he has lots of fans among the viewing public, most of our readers think he’s starting to wear out his welcome. Scroll down to see our complete poll results.
Guadagnino performed a cha cha and was visibly disappointed with his performance, which went so awry that Len Goodman called it “a mess.” It seemed to pain the judges to give him 7s across the board; it...

There was a funny moment on “Dancing with the Stars” on “Michael Buble Night” when guest judge Buble told “Bachelorette” star Gabby Windey that she was so good he wondered if she had previous dance experience. She sheepishly confirmed that she worked as a professional cheerleader in the past. It’s no secret that some of the “amateur” dancers who come onto “DWTS” are less amateur than others, and for no one is that the case more than Charli D’Amelio., who was a competitive dancer for over 10 years. Could that backfire against the TikTok star?
Any celeb has good reason to want to downplay their prior experience on “DWTS.” There have been shocking early eliminations in recent years of stars who might have been perceived to be ringers, like eighth-place Heather Morris in season 24 and 10th-place Tinashe in season 27. Other celebs with pre-established skills have gotten far in the competition but not won,...

Fitness model Joseph Baena shouldn’t have been eliminated from “Dancing with the Stars” on “Prom Night.” That’s the resounding opinion of hundreds of fans we polled at the end of Tuesday night’s show. Who should have been ousted from the competition instead? Scroll down for our complete poll results.
SEEHere’s what the top 10 — and Derek Hough — are performing on ‘Dancing with the Stars” Michael Bublé Night
This week was a special two-night event. There was no elimination on Monday night for “Most Memorable Year” because actress Selma Blair had to withdraw from the competition for health reasons. That night, though, Baena performed a rumba that the judges thought was a breakthrough dance for him, and his scores — two 8s and two 9s — placed him sixth on the judges’ leaderboard.

Dance ability isn’t the only factor that affects a contestant’s performance on “Dancing with the Stars.” While half of the results are determined by the judges’ scores, the other half depends on the votes of viewers at home. That’s how we got Bobby Bones, one of the most shocking victors in the history of the show. Could “Jersey Shore” reality star Vinny Guadagnino follow in his footsteps this year?
Bobby Bones was never the best dancer in season 27. Rivals like Milo Manheim and Evanna Lynch consistently outscored him on the judges’ leaderboard. But he had charisma and enthusiasm in spades, and the country radio personality came to the show with a highly motivated fan base that has helped other country celebs like Kellie Pickler, Jana Kramer, and Lauren Alaina make it far into the competition, with Pickler also winning.

American Idol will sing another song. The long-running singing competition has been renewed for a sixth season on ABC and a 21st season overall.
The announcement comes ahead of the season finale on May 22.
Cancellations/Renewals Scorecard: TV Shows Ended Or Continuing In 2021-22 Season
ABC touted the ratings success of Idol, calling it its number one show this season in total viewers, and it’s up 15 over last season among adult 18-49 after 35 days of multiplatform viewing, according to the network.
The renewal comes at an important time for unscripted series on ABC after Deadline revealed that its venerable dancing competition Dancing with the Stars will move to Disney+ from next season – making Idol an even more crucial format for the network.
