After three days of celebs, slashers, and screenings, the Silver Scream Fest went out with a flourish today in Santa Rosa, Calif. The three-day film festival saw luminaries like Freddy Krueger’s own Robert Englund, director John Landis, seven-time makeup-effects Oscar winner Rick Baker, ambidextrous artist Rob Prior, and Elm Street heroine Heather Langenkamp, among others, come to meet fans and talk about their contributions to horror cinema.
There were screenings of some of the best independent scary cinema out there, in addition to screenings of contemporary classics like A Nightmare On Elm Street, New Nightmare, An American Werewolf In London (on its 35th anniversary), and Santa Sangre alongside classics from the Golden Age of Hollywood like Dracula (On its 85th anniversary! Seems like just yesterday….), Island Of Lost Souls, and White Zombie.

Love Island's biggest romance has ended in sadness, as Jon Clark and Hannah Elizabeth have called off their engagement.
Jon proposed to Hannah in the ITV2 show's finale this summer after spending six weeks in the luxury villa with her.
But it wasn't to be, as Jon told Ok! that the couple had split after a series of rows.
"I've got no animosity towards the girl, the break-up hasn't been good," he said. "We had arguments, there are things that happened between us, on both sides, not just mine. The arguing was getting too much for me and we just weren't working anymore."
Jon added that even a holiday to Spain didn't help paper over the cracks, saying: "She got drunk and we had an argument. Couples say things to each other when they're angry - she said horrible things to me, I said horrible things to her, but...

Love Island runner-up Hannah Elizabeth thinks host Caroline Flack was too "critical" of her having sex during the series with now-fiancé Jon Clark.
Hannah and Jon coupled up on day one of the ITV2 series and consummated their relationship on the show (again and again), before Jon proposed during the programme's Commitment Ceremony challenge.
The pair even got frisky in the communal bedroom while fellow Love Islanders attempted to sleep. However, viewers began to question their relationship when it was revealed that they had met before and shared the same management.
Speaking to Zoo magazine, the glamour model said: "On the outside, people can be critical, like Caroline Flack.
"I don't think she likes me that much. She'd just keep making comments that were quite negative. A few people have come over to me and told me she's commented about me having sex in the house."
She added: "Everyone was doing stuff under the covers,...

Love Island's Jon Clark and his "glamorous Scouse gold dust" Hannah Elizabeth have revealed they want a "gangsta" theme for their upcoming wedding.
The runners-up became a couple right from the start of the ITV2 show, and later became engaged after Jon popped the question during a Commitment Challenge towards the end of the series.
However, it wasn't long before viewers started questioning their relationship when it was revealed that they had met a handful of times before and shared the same management.
Speaking about the cynicism, Jon told Ok: "So many people have met us and apologised because they realise we're serious."
On plans for their big day, Hannah enthused: "It's going to be the biggest wedding ever, especially as it's Liverpool and Essex coming together. We want a gangsta theme."
Discussing her dream wedding dress, she continued: "I want something dead fabulous. I like lace gowns with long sleeves.

Love Island's final saw Jess Hayes and Max Morley beat off stiff competition from newly-engaged couple Jon Clark and Hannah Elizabeth to emerge victorious last night (July 15).
The delighted couple took home the £50,000 cash prize after coming top of the public vote, and when given the opportunity to either steal the money or share the cash in an evil twist, they both chose to share the prize, bringing a happy close to the series (or as Jon would say, a happy close to the perfect fairytale).
Speaking to Digital Spy, Max revealed his huge surprise at winning.
"We never thought we were going to win, ever. It was a massive shock," Max recalled. "I thought Jon and Hannah all the way. I wanted Luis [Morrison] and Cally [Beech] to win, but I thought Jon and Hannah were going to clinch it."
Did either of them contemplate stealing the prize and choosing money over love?...

The boys deliver their heartfelt and very cheesy vows to their other halves on Love Island's final tonight (July 15).
Be prepared for multiple uses of "princesses", "unicorns" and "fairytales"...
The Commitment Ceremony commences with Luis Morrison presenting his vows to a white wedding dress-clad Cally Beech.
"My darling princess, you are the world to me and I can't wait for the future we have in store," he professes.
"You are my rock, you are my little doll, and these words on these vows won't describe how much you mean to me and how much I love you. You are the love of my life. Love, your Lu."
Josh Ritchie steps up next, and reads out his oath to Lauren Richardson.
"To Lozza, this journey has not been the best ride for you, we started off in here together, we are leaving together as great friends," he notes.

What a way to end Love Island.
Love-struck islander Jon Clark reveals he's going to propose to Hannah Elizabeth and calls up her dad to ask for his permission on tonight's final (July 15).
The islanders are preparing to take part in today's Love Island Commitment Ceremony, a chance for the boys to declare their true feelings to their other halves. The girls go out shopping to pick their dresses, while the lads remain at the villa penning their vows for their respective partners.
Later on in the afternoon, Jon confides in Josh as he says: "Do you think you know what I'm going to say?"
Josh jokingly replies: "Yeah, you're going to ask Hannah to marry you?"
"Yeah, I'm going to propose to her tonight," Jon declares, leaving a gobsmacked Josh asking if he's really serious.
"I'm being 100% serious. I'm so nervous," Jon affirms.

Love Islanders are left holding the (plastic) baby as their parenting skills are put to the test on tonight's show (July 14).

Each couple is challenged to look after their baby for the day, with Luis Morrison and Cally Beech naming their new addition Jamal, Max Morley and Jess Hayes going for Brian, Jon Clark and Hannah Elizabeth opting for Ocean, and Josh Ritchie and Lauren Richardson picking Pretzel.
As talk turns to how ready for actual babies the islanders are, Hannah quips: "I'd get a nanny."
Jess tells Max: "I don't want kids for a long time but we're stuck with this one now.

Jon Clark began by bringing up fairytales again, but at least he didn't mention rainbows.

Love Island bade farewell to newcomer Travis Almond and self-proclaimed Barbie doll Naomi Ball on last night's ITV2 show (July 2).
The young hopefuls received the least amount of votes from the public during the live elimination hosted by Caroline Flack.

Speaking to Digital Spy following their departure, Naomi revealed how "incredibly uncomfortable" she felt it as it happened, while Travis disagreed wholeheartedly.

Travis didn't share the 23-year-old operations manager's discomfort however, as he admitted: "I disagree, if I had the chance I'd be doing it every night!"

Love Islanders Jon Clark and Hannah Elizabeth rendered viewers and fellow contestants alike completely speechless when they decided to have sex in the communal bedroom last night (July 2).
The official couple - who "christened the house" last month in the secret hideaway and have been at it ever since - took their fornicating to the villa's main bedroom while fellow islanders were trying to sleep.
Halfway through, Hannah - who happened to be on top - appeared to turn around to see if anyone was watching. When Lauren Richardson told bedmate Travis Almond what was going on, Jon shouted: "Lauren please, you're making me lose my boner here.
After waking most of the others with their noisy antics - even Luis Morrison, who was wearing earplugs - Jon added: "I can't stop, guys, you'll just have to deal with it."

The Love Island contestants are tonight (June 30) invited to play a game of 'What happened next?' as footage of the girls' night in and the boys' night out in Magaluf are revealed.
A clip of Max Morley kissing a girl in a Magaluf nightclub is shown, with Max admitting: "I didn't think I got caught doing that!"
Footage is then played of Hannah Elizabeth flashing her breasts as the girls partied with some butlers-in-the-buff, gifted to them by Calum Best, who took the boys out clubbing.
But Jon Clark is not happy, as he explains: "As a boyfriend, when you see something like that, it's going to piss any man off... I don't mind her getting her tits out when I'm there, not when I'm not there... That geezer looking at them, that's what pissed me off."
The usually loved-up couple argue, with Hannah remaining unapologetic and insisting she did nothing wrong.

There was trouble brewing in paradise and now it's official... Love Island's answer to Barbie and Ken - aka Naomi Ball and Josh Ritchie - have split up.
Chatting about their relationship on tonight's show (June 29), Josh criticises Naomi for being too flirtatious with Luis and lacking banter.
"I feel like I can't be proper bantery around you in case I say something that's wrong," Josh complains.
"You flirt with Luis a lot, I've just started noticing it proper bad, I think you have more banter with Luis, Jordan and Max than you do with me."
Naomi denies she's flirtatious or fancies Luis as she replies: "That's not flirting, that's just me, like... I don't see Luis like that otherwise I would have picked Luis, plus Cally's here."
Josh shares his concerns that their relationship isn't moving forward like other couples in the villa. Jon Clark and Hannah Elizabeth confirmed...

Move over Hannah Elizabeth and Jon Clark, there's a new hormonal couple in the house getting hot and heavy in the hideaway (and making us feel a little bit nauseous in the process).
Step forward love's young dream, Jordan Ring and Zoe Basia Brown.
Towards the end of last night's (June 28) show, which saw Jess Hayes and Josh Ritchie argue drunkenly over Josh's new relationship with Naomi Ball, Jordan and Zoe escaped to the secret hideaway bedroom for some lovin'.
Jordan soon discovered that the bathroom had no camera, and enticed Zoe in with boasts of a big, blue spider. Which - after some mild confusion from both Zoe and the viewer - was most definitely a euphemism.
At first Zoe wasn't prepared to get out of bed for a big, blue spider - and frankly, we didn't blame her - but after Jordan continued to effuse about this "weird,...

Love Island's newbie Travis Almond has caused waves in the villa - arriving and declaring his feelings for Lauren Richardson then choosing to ask Jess Hayes out on a date instead.
Moving in, Travis made a beeline for Lauren, saying: "So Lauren, how you doing?" to the amusement and cheers of the rest of the Islanders.
As Lauren shows her interest, Travis added: "I don't mess about… girls, I ain't being funny, you are all gorgeous but I've gotta admit I do like you Lauren."
Whilst in the beach hut, Travis revealed more of his feelings: "Lauren seems like such a nice girl, such a sweetheart, obviously she's been single for four, five years and I think she needs someone in her life."
The next morning, after receiving a text that he has to choose a girl to go on a date with, Travis knows exactly who he will ask.

A speed dating session in Love Island on tonight's (June 25) show sees two new islanders chosen and an upsetting revelation for Naomi Ball.
Both the boys and girls speak to three potential additions of the opposite sex, and make their choices - but not before a shocker.
The girls are sent in first to speed-date Peter, Shameer and Travis.
Then comes the turn of the boys, who have to choose between Lucinda, Amy and Cally.
Max Morley asks Lucinda if, from what she's seen, she thinks anyone is playing a game in the villa.
Lucinda shocks the boys by replying: "I'd say Naomi, just because she doesn't seem very direct with her feelings, she's quite all over the place, one day she says one thing another day she says another."
Meanwhile, Cally is revealed to have previous with Luis Morrison, who says he nearly fell in love with her when they were together.

The drama continues in Love Island tonight (June 25) as Jess Hayes and Max Morley get closer.
The pair again shared a bed after some help from Jon Clark and the rest of the boys, having flirted the night before.
Speaking about his intervention, Jon says: "Max and Jess have been getting close so me and some of the boys decided to push things along… I come up with a great plan… it was Max's time!"
But Jess reveals she still isn't sure something will happen between the pair, after overhearing that "his mum told him to stay away from [her]".
After the pair fool around for a bit, Max discloses more of his feelings about Jess.
"Jess is so different to what I'd seen from the outside," he says, "she is actually a really nice girl, I didn't expect it to be honest, she's just fun, chilled out, she's up for a laugh.

Love Island bid an emotional farewell to Daisy Muller and Chris Williamson who were democratically dumped on tonight's show (June 24).
Daisy was selected to leave by all the boys - comprising of Omar Sultani, Jordan Ring, Luis Morrison, Max Morley, Jon Clark and Josh Ritchie - bar Chris, who picked Zoe Basia Brown.
Chris was selected by Zoe, Jess Hayes, Lauren Richardson, Beth Rogers, Hannah Elizabeth and Naomi Ball, while Daisy went for Jordan.
Speaking to Digital Spy, Daisy let rip about ex-Love Island partner Jordan, who she seethed behaved like a "nob" and branded a "pr**k" for the way he treated her and love rival Zoe.
Meanwhile, Chris may not have found love on the island, but he's more than delighted with his blossoming bromances with the boys.
Are you disappointed to be out?
Daisy: I'm not really gutted to be out actually, I'm quite happy to go out tonight.

Love Island's Jon Clark says he's "near... the end of the road" with official girlfriend Hannah Elizabeth on tonight's tumultuous Love Island (June 23).
As the Islanders prepare for a lavish dinner, Hannah enters the Beach Hut to get a few things off her chest concerning Jon.
"I feel like Jon gets a bit too excited and it makes me step back and my personality doesn't come across so much because he's just so excited and in your face about everything. We do just wind each other up," she says.
She later confronts him, explaining: "I know you're a loud person and that's why I love you, but I dunno if you're playing up."
She tells Jon that the minute there's a challenge, she feels that it becomes all about him, criticising: "You can't say nothing to you quietly, you have to do everything in front of everyone."

Speaking to press including Digital Spy the couple tell us how - given the chance - they'd kick out self-appointed leader Jon and his official girlfriend Hannah in order to give the other Islanders a chance.
The pair also predicted the demise of Joshua Ritchie and Naomi Ball's relationship, and backed "underdogs" Jordan Ring and Daisy Muller to win the show.

She also suggested that had she gone along with what she claims the programme had wanted and faked a relationship with former partner Luis Morrison, she would still be in the villa now.

Love Island's Hannah Elizabeth has finally confirmed what we all suspected... she and official boyfriend Jon Clark got down to the nitty gritty in the secret hideaway on last night's steamy show (June 16).

It's on the tip of every Love Island viewer's tongue... did Jon Clark and Hannah Elizabeth get down and dirty in last night's steamy episode?
The pair - who have been coupled up since day one - slipped into the secret hideaway (and beneath the sheets) after making their relationship official.
Earlier in the evening, Jon had made his feelings clear as he declared to Hannah: "I've found what I want. I want to put a label on us. I want to be, like, together. Officially together. After eventually agreeing to be boyfriend and girlfriend - with Jon winning Hannah over by describing her as his "glamorous pot of Scouse gold" - he made the anticipated announcement to fellow Islanders.
"Me and Hannah are officially together now," he shouted.

The couple - who have remained paired up since day one - escaped for some alone time in the villa's hideaway, where Jon shared his true feelings with Hannah.
"I've found what I want. I want to put a label on us. I want to be like, together. Officially together. Like we are together. So when we walk out this room I'll say, 'Me and Hannah are actually properly together now'," he said.
Hannah seemed uncertain as she began: "In here you feel like that but you wouldn't feel like..."
But Jon interjected: "Oh babe I would!"
Jon later reflected in the Beach Hut: "She means the world to me already. I'm only gonna care for her more and more and I don't want anyone going near her.

Love Island twins John and Tony Alberti have revealed they didn't fancy any of the girls in the villa because they weren't "classy" enough.
The duo became the first Islanders to leave the show tonight when none of the girls chose to couple up with them.
But speaking to Digital Spy, the identical twins admitted that they "expected" to be the first ones to go.
"We were causing havoc – we wanted to be the thriller in the villa, so we made our entrance and all the guys felt threatened by us and jealous of us and all the girls straight away were suspicious and never trusted us and thought we were game players," the pair said.
"And the girls wanted to play it safe - we kind of knew that from the get go. They were chit chatting about us all the time and never trusted us once."

The whispers that two new girls will move into the villa cause tensions between Hannah Elizabeth and Jon Clark in tonight's episode.
When private hideaways become available, the couple refuse a night alone, and Hannah accuses Jon of using her to stay at the villa.
Speaking in the Beach Hut, she says: "I've come in here and I've actually started to like Jon but it is hard in here... He's sat there making jokes, basically saying if other girls come in I'd want to go and shag them or something. You've just mugged me off because I've stayed with you all week and chose you."
Speaking to Jon, she explains: "I'm actually glad now that we didn't go to the room. I do like you Jon. I know you joke around and all that. It's all convenient now so we stay with you all."

A bombshell hits the boys on Love Island tonight (June 9) when Omar Sultani receives a text signalling a surprising twist in the game of love.
Speaking to fellow male contestants, Omar reveals that he's been told the male islanders need to "get busy".
"I got a text [that said], 'In the next 48 hours, there will be a recoupling. The two boys not in a couple at that point will be dumped from the Island. #getbusy'," he explains.
The announcement immediately sparks unease among the boys, with Jon Clark advising: "The people that are not happy in the couple, yeah, you've got to start pulling your fingers out.
"You've got two new lads that have topped up, right? I'm pretty sure that you two ain't gonna hold back. You ain't gonna want to be kicked out in the next two days are you, you just got here.

The Islanders have only been in the Love Island villa for a few days - but Jon Clark is already predicting the first marriage after his "dead romantic" date with Hannah Elizabeth.
The duo took a boat to the beach for a day of drinking champagne, and it seems that they're already having some strong feelings for each other.
Hannah admitted that she felt "a bit nervous", while Jon told her: "You're the only girl in the room. It don't matter if there's any other girls in the room - they don't bother me, it's just you. I like that.
"I genuinely do like you. I'm happy because I'm sitting on a beach, I'm drinking some champagne, and you're literally looking like Britain's Next Top Model."
He added: "We've come in, we've picked each other, which is probably, maybe the best day of my life. I think the first time I ate a turkey twizzler,...

They had only just arrived at the villa, but the Love Island contestants were soon making important decisions when it came to picking a partner.
On last night's show (June 7), the six males were lined up by the pool, and instructed by presenter Caroline Flack to step forward if they fancied any of the girls who walked in.
But it was the girls who had the overall power, as they were able to pick any of the boys regardless whether they stepped forward or not.
First up was Hannah Elizabeth, who attracted the attention of Jon Clark and Chris Williamson. The Playboy bunny picked Jon, who said: "That's a bit of me, simple as that. Bit of me."
Danielle Pyne was next, with Luis Morrison and Omar Sultani stepping forward. She chose Luis, who said he was "happy, happy, happy" with the choice.
However, Luis appeared to have a game plan,...

Here is the lowdown on Love Island contestant Jon Clark, who we met in Mallorca just days before he entered the villa...
Vital Statistics
Age: 25
Job: Builder
Entered the villa: Day one
What you need to know
Jon previously dated Towie's Jasmin Walia.
"It wasn't really a massive relationship – it was more casual. I think we both went our separate ways. We're on great terms and we're still friends now. It was just very casual and I think we just weren't working. You know when you get to that point where you either go forwards with something or not?" So how would she feel about him being on Love Island? "I don't think she'd be at all angry or upset or anything. If anything I think she'll be really happy for me. We're still on great terms now. She's back with Ross – I know Ross. So I've not got any qualms with that.
