It's unfortunate that Hollywood's best method of casting a new face is stereotyping and type-casting. The roles I've played, in other mediums, that have gotten the most attention and praise have been more or less the opposite of anything I'd get called in to read for in an audition for television or film. They look at your headshot, and all of a sudden they know exactly who you are and what parts you can play. I'm an actor. It's my job to be someone else, not myself. I can be myself all day long. I know because I've been me for 32 years. I've gotten pretty good at it. (2008)
