Bethesda and Arkane Lyon have announced that they’re working on Marvel’s Blade, a third-person, single-player game based on the moody vampire hunter.
Not only is Marvel working on a feature film based on the vampire hunter, but Bethesda and Arkane Lyon are also working to bring the moody Blade to life in his own video game.
The project was announced at last night’s The Game Awards, where Baldur’s Gate 3 was named Game Of The Year as expected. On X, Bethesda described Marvel’s Blade as “a mature, single-player, third-person game set in the heart of Paris.”
There was a short teaser for the game as well.
The trailer shows the titular vampire hunter, also known as Eric Brooks, getting a shave at a Paris barbershop just as the sun is setting and an announcement urges residents to take shelter. “The night’s just getting started,” Blade...

Marvel Studios has numerous upcoming projects slated for release in the next few years, with many caught in limbo due to the impactful SAG-AFTRA strike that paralyzed the entire industry. Among these, the highly anticipated ‘Blade’ from Marvel Studios faced challenges even before the strikes. It’s an McU-based movie featuring Eric Brooks, a prominent vampire hunter in comics, and serves as a reboot to the already popular ‘Blade’ trilogy that played a crucial role in bringing superhero movies to the mainstream.
Details about the ‘Blade’ movie are scarce, but Mahershala Ali proposed the project and is set to portray the titular vampire hunter. Originally scheduled for a 2023 release, the movie’s debut has been pushed to 2025, primarily because Ali expressed dissatisfaction with the script.
Recent rumors have surfaced, suggesting the complete cancellation of the project. This unexpected development has shocked fans who have witnessed the movie languish in development hell for quite some time.

Marvel has plenty of projects bound to be released in the next few years, and we know that most of these projects have been stuck in a sort of limbo due to the historic SAG-AFTRA strike that paralyzed the whole industry as a whole, causing plenty of projects to be both delayed or altogether canceled.
One extremely anticipated Marvel Studios project that had problems way before the strikes began is ‘Blade.’ It is an McU-based movie following Eric Brooks, the most notable vampire hunter in comics, and a reboot of the already highly popular ‘Blade’ trilogy that contributed to paving the way for the MCU that we know today.
Next to nothing is known about the ‘Blade’ movie besides the fact that Mahershala Ali proposed the project and will be playing the titular vampire hunter. The movie was originally supposed to come out in 2023, but the release date was pushed...

When it comes to comics, superheroes are inexplicably linked to monsters. Horror comics existed before the superhero boom launched with Action Comics #1 (1938), and continued going strong after the caped crowd flopped following World War II. When Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko, and Stan Lee launched the Marvel Universe in the early 60s, they did so tentatively, keeping Spider-Man, Hulk, and the Fantastic Four close to the sci-fi and monster comics they made throughout the fifties.
As unlikely as the pairing may seem, superheroes and monsters make for a peanut butter and chocolate combination. Not only do monsters provide the overpowered villains required for superhero fights, as the current Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong demonstrates, but they also give characters like Spider-Man and Batman a chance to show off their heroism in the darkest of times.
So if you’re looking for some spooky superhero stories for your Halloween season, these 13 comics will do the trick.
