Esposito, coming off another turn as the sophisticated boss of a meth empire in Netflix’s The Gentlemen, is launching his first graphic novel.
He has co-created The Venetian, a story of commitment and sacrifice set against the backdrop of Venice’s criminal underworld.
Coming out via Gallery 13, part of The Gallery Books Group, a division of Simon & Schuster, the graphic novel was co-created by screenwriter Matt Wheeler and writer, storyboard artist Jay Martin.
Wheeler is working with Esposito on his next series, six-part crime thriller Parish for AMC, where he is a co-exec producer. He recently wrote the sequel series The Italian Job for Paramount+ and penned a series adaptation of Guy Richie’s Rocknrolla that was previously in development at UCP and Dark Castle.

Exclusive: The Shrink Next Door podcast host and writer Joe Nocera is creating two Audible true-crime podcasts.
Nocera will co-write and host the as-yet-untitled non-fiction shows with podcast indie Blanchard House and Poppy Damon.
Blanchard is so far keeping the subjects fairly quiet but one is inspired by an Agatha Christie novel and the other looks to an iconic American drama.
Nocera is the host and writer of Wondery podcast The Shrink Next Door, which has gone on to become an Apple TV+ show starring Paul Rudd and Will Ferrell about the bizarre relationship between a psychiatrist to the stars and one of his patients.
“Joe is an unparalleled talent and we are so lucky to have him at Blanchard,” said Rosie Pye, Blanchard House Creative Director and Co-Founder.
Blanchard launched towards the end of last year with 1M seed investment and journalists and producers from the BBC, The Economist and Times of London.

Exclusive: The Iron Man franchise actor’s production label This Radicle Act has optioned Hannah Rose May’s Image Comics comic book Rogues’ Gallery in a competitive situation, Deadline has learned. Don Cheadle has a first look with Industrial Media and the plan is to adapt Rogues’ Gallery into a TV series.
May wrote and created the high concept home invasion thriller, which is set against the backdrop of toxic fandom and obsession, which has art by Marvel’s Spiderpunk artist, Justin Mason.
Rogues’ Gallery follows Maisie Wade, who has just quit her role as the Red Rogue, a massively popular comic book character. But when her abrupt exit from Red Rogue’s hit TV series leads to its unceremonious cancellation, Maisie finds herself trapped in her own home by a group of unhinged superfans. Dressed up in the cosplay of the Red Rogue’s arch villains, these diehards want to teach Maisie a lesson.

The newly-minted rock duo, Cherie Currie and Brie Darling, unveiled a boisterous cover of the Kinks’ 1984 track, “Do It Again,” set to appear on their upcoming album, The Motivator, out August 2nd via Blue Élan Records.
Kinks frontman Ray Davies wrote “Do It Again” about the band’s constant touring schedule, but its depiction of the ceaseless churn of the day-to-day will be familiar to anyone who’s felt stuck in a dreary work or life cycle. On their cover of the song, Currie and Darling capture this blend of...

Yesterday, a few lucky fans—including musicians Ryan Cabrera, Teddy Geiger and Dave Grohl—got the chance to spend "An Evening With Shawn Mendes" at L.A.'s Grammy Museum. The event began with a Q&A, moderated by Scott Goldman, the Grammy Museum's executive director. He noted Mendes earned raves after releasing his self-titled third studio album, as well as the respect of industry veterans (like John Mayer and Justin Timberlake). Now that he's more experienced, Mendes said he'd been more open to experimentation. "Now I'm 20, and everybody who was 15 listening to me back then is now 20," he told Goldman. "And they have grown up, too. I'm not afraid of [losing my...

There's no doubt that the K-pop phenom Bts has been making monumental waves here in the Us. Having recently topped the Billboard 200 albums chart with their album Love Yourself: Answer, on which they collaborated with Nicki Minaj on their track "Idol," and having just embarked on the North American leg of their world tour in Los Angeles, their accolades stretch further than most. And as Bts continues to grow their fan base, it's clear that these boys are only gaining momentum and growing larger into what some have compared to being the Beatles of this generation.
The group recently sat down with Scott Goldman, the Grammy Museum artistic director, at the Clive Davis Theater in the Grammy Museum to have an intimate conversation about their fans, their songwriting process, and how their music has evolved through the years. While we knew that the boys were talented and deserving of every recognition they've earned so far,...

Comcast’s stock price has taken a hit during the past month since the cable giant confirmed its intention to mount a $31 billion bid for majority control of Sky, the European satellite TV provider that was expected to be part of Disney’s acquisition of key 21st Century Fox assets.
But on Thursday Wall Street seemed to cheer the idea of Comcast moving deeper into a bidding war with Disney over Sky and possibly all of the Fox assets included in the $52.4 billion deal that Fox and Disney clinched on Dec. 14. Comcast shares were up 2.7% in trading Thursday, closing at $31.56, amid a swirl of headlines about steps Comcast is taking to build a war chest for an all-cash offer for the 21st Century Fox assets that could reach $60 billion or more. Comcast shares fell nearly 12% from early March when the company affirmed its intention regarding Sky.

The aliens from Sony's "District 9" scored big during The Hollywood Reporter's 39th annual Key Art Awards.
Honoring the best in movie marketing, Friday's event at Vibiana in downtown Los Angeles saw "District 9" take home 11 awards, including the best-in-show prize for its integrating marketing campaigning as well as three other best-in-show laurels for its outdoor advertising (built around its "Bus Stop for Humans Bus Shelter"), TV spots and digital campaign.
The awards ceremony culminated with Sylvester Stallone receiving the Visionary Award, given annually to a filmmaker who inspires movie marketers.
"At the end of the day, there is no question that Sylvester Stallone delivers great product," THR publisher Lori Burgess said before calling Stallone to the candlelit stage at what once was the altar of the former St. Vibiana Roman Catholic cathedral, which has been converted to a party space. "He's put his stamp on film like very few people of his generation.
