Tabyana Ali has made the part of Trina Robinson on General Hospital her own. Last year, she replaced fan favorite Sydney Mikayla in the role just as the character was on trial for a crime she didn’t commit.
Ali is just 20 years old and is quite talented. Maurice Benard, who plays Sonny Corinthos on the soap, praised her acting abilities when they spoke on his State of Mind podcast. He especially loves the coupling of Robinson and Spencer Cassadine, who together have received the nickname “Sprina” from fans.
Soap operas are ultra-dramatic, and the storylines are serious. Ali’s character is no different. So it is a bit of a surprise that the actor was once a comedian.

Prey‘s Dane Diliegro may not be so recognizable to viewers of the Hulu film as he was covered by plenty of makeup and prosthetics to take on the Predator look. The actor came to TV Insider and TV Guide Magazine’s studio, sponsored by Hollywood unBranded, at San Diego Comic-Con to chat about the movie, but stuck around to offer up some fun facts about himself. In the video, above, he opens up about what job he’d be doing if he didn’t pursue acting, his hobbies, favorite snacks, and much more. (Credit: Maarten de Boer/@iheartmaarten) The former basketball player admits that if he wasn’t a performer, he’d “be hosting culinary travel TV, no question. Traveling the world, eating food, telling people about it,” he muses in the video, above. Likening himself to an Anthony Bourdain that’s “a little taller” with “a little less cigarettes.

Be prepared to dive into a world of “reality through fantasy,” as Gwendoline Christie (who plays Lucifer) says to describe Netflix’s The Sandman. Christie, Tom Sturridge (Dream), Kirby Howell-Baptiste (Death), Mason Alexander Park (Desire), Vanesu Samunyai (Rose Walker), Vivienne Acheampong (Lucienne), Patton Oswalt (Matthew the Raven), Jenna Coleman (Johanna Constantine), and Boyd Holbrook (The Corinthian) sat down with Emily Aslanian at San Diego Comic-Con in the TV Insider and TV Guide Magazine studio, sponsored by Hollywood unBranded to introduce their adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s comic series. Maarten de Boer The stars offered a rundown of their characters, complete with a bit of sibling banter and intriguing descriptors. The Sandman follows what happens after ...

As the Evil cast reminded us, evil exists in the world, and their Paramount+ series just puts a demonic twist on it. Stars Katja Herbers (Kristen), Aasif Mandvi (Ben), and Christine Lahti (Sheryl) sat down with Andrea Towers in the TV Insider and TV Guide Magazine studio, sponsored by Hollywood unBranded at San Diego Comic-Con 2022 to celebrate the recent Season 4 renewal and share what they’d like to see, plus tease the remaining episodes of Season 3. Maarten de Boer Of course the question on everyone’s mind is what’s going to happen between Kristen and David (Mike Colter), who kissed in the Season 2 finale but subsequently decided not to go further … well, except for what has happened between David and demon Kristen. “We’ll continue on this slow burn kind of a path. I think they are two people who do really love each other and have also respect...

“How hard is it to reunite with this man, seriously, right? He’s like catnip to women,” said Gates McFadden, reprising her role as Dr. Beverly Crusher opposite Patrick Stewart’s Jean-Luc in Star Trek: Picard‘s final season. “It was great, great fun, and I loved doing it. As much as we love that Picard is staging a major The Next Generation reunion, it can’t match how happy Stewart and McFadden were when talking about being back together at San Diego Comic-Con with Andrea Towers in the TV Insider and TV Guide Magazine studio, sponsored by Hollywood unBranded. They also teased what to expect from the end of the series and reflected on the endurance of the franchise. Maarten de Boer The characters will be seeing each other again after 25 years, and now, Dr. Crusher is “older and wiser — we hope — and just as argumentative as always,” McFadden shared.

Instead of being called The Big Sick, and telling the touching true story of how Kumail Nanjiani’s future wife Emily V. Gordon was put into a coma and almost died, Nanjiani’s first attempt to spearhead his own movie could have been called The Big Stick — that stick being a witch’s broom, and the movie being, as Nanjiani explains it, “a weird buddy comedy between this guy and a ghost witch.”
Let’s go back five years to when the stand-up comedian turned star of hit TV shows like Silicon Valley (programmer Dinesh) and Portlandia (a variety of long-winded sales and service people) was on a South by Southwest festival panel with powerhouse producer Judd Apatow. They hit it off...

Long before she was “Jenny from the Block,” Jennifer Lopez commanded the stage as a dancer. And now, she’s returning to her roots for NBC’s new reality competition series World of Dance.
“NBC, the producers and myself, we really created the perfect venue and job for me,” Lopez tells reporters of appearing as a judge on the upcoming series. “Starting as a dancer, that being the core of who I am at the end of the day… I couldn’t think of a more perfect thing that I could do at this point in my career.”

Jj Abrams got 'the band back together' for his big budget sequel. We meet the key players to talk period hair, blue drinks and 'sexy Klingons'
You know how it went: in 2009 Jj Abrams – creator of Lost, director of Mission: Impossible 3 – exhumed the rotting corpse of Star Trek, not only bringing a dying franchise back to life but making it cool. He achieved this without giving it a radical spin, without going dark and gritty, as is the way these days. He just made it really, really good, rescuing Star Trek from sweaty convention halls, making its niche universe universal.
A key factor was his non-allegiance to Star Trek. He wasn't a fan, thus went to work purely as a storyteller, without having to deal with any emotional baggage or nostalgic attachment. It paid off – the film took $385m at the box office and gave the galactic horn to fans and non-fans alike.
