The world of “Monster Hunter” is coming to life in the form of a new animated special. “Monster Hunter: Legends of the Guild” is being produced in tandem with worldwide developer and publisher Capcom as well as Pure Imagination Studios. The companies will produce and co-finance the upcoming special, written by “Ultimate Spider-Man’s” Joshua Fine. Production is projected for completion this winter, with a global premiere scheduled for 2019.
“Monster Hunter: Legends of the Guild” will focus on an aspiring young monster hunter looking to make a name for himself. He stumbles on a terrifying discovery when he finds that his village is directly in the path of an Elder Dragon, which could cause a dizzying amount of damage and devastation for his home. We don’t know much else beyond that brief summary provided via Capcom at this time, but it should make for an action-packed adventure that “Monster Hunter” fans will enjoy.

In the Avengers: Emh Season Two teaser you've seen new characters such as Vision, Surtur, The Thing, Dr. Doom, etc. revealed to what I'm sure is nothing but delight. However, in this recent podcast with Marvel, Chris Yost lets it slip that another Marvel team will be featured in the second season as well. Here's a synopsis of the main highlights below: -He and Producer Joshua Fine mapped out an early storyboard for where they wanted to take the animated Avengers series early-on. -Similar to the first season, expect a ton of more Easter Eggs -The X-Men and Guardians of the Galaxy will cameo [*we already knew about The Guardians but not the X-Men] -The Serpent Society was one of his favorite cameos in Season 1. Director and developer Ciro Nieli favors The Howling Commandos so expect to see more of them. -The foreshadowed plotlines from Season 1 will "explode" in Season 2.

Walt Disney Company's Marvel Studios is currently in pre-production on the upcoming superhero blockbuster film "The Avengers". The film will be directed by Academy Award nominated Joss Whedon, and shot in 3-D. Whedon also re-wrote a script that was originally written by scribe Zak Penn. Wolverine and the X-Men was created to capitalize on the anticipated success of the Hugh Jackman Wolverine movie. The series aired on Nicktoons and freely adapted stories taken from the decades of X-Men stories. Despite being the title character, Wolverine was often taking a step back to let the army of mutants take on the stories.
Lionsgate has been releasing the episodes in low priced sets, but now, in time for the holidays, the entire series has been put in one set, now on sale. ComicMix has previous reviewed the final three releases in the series and overall, I have not been overly impressed. Visually, the animation designs are satisfactory but Marvel has never gotten a good handle on their voice casting and the show suffers for it.
Structurally, I previously noted “this has fewer sub-plots that require episode to episode viewing. On the other hand, there are plenty of...

Tooznone reports that Marvel Animation has confirmed the cancelation of the Hulk: Gamma Corps animated series.
Instead, much of the story development will find its way into the recently announced The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes series.
Hulk: Gamma Corps was originally announced last year as a tie-in with the Incredible Hulk film. The series was in active pre-production when the Avengers concept got approved and it was felt the two should be combined according to Joshua Fine, Director of Animation Development for Marvel Animation.
"It became apparent to us that the creative work that was being done to bring Hulk’s world and his villains to life was too good to relegate to his universe alone, and would be much better suited as part of an full-on Avengers scenario," Fine told Toonzone.
The Avengers animated series will arrive on television in fall 2011, after the live-action Avengers film debuts in July.
