Apple TV+ today revealed the trailer for the second season of Emmy Award-winning Jane, which will consist of five episodes. Jane Season 2 premieres globally on Friday, April 19, 2024.
The mission-driven series for kids and families is inspired by the work of world-renowned ethologist and conservationist Dr. Jane Goodall, Dbe, Founder of the Jane Goodall Institute and Un Messenger of Peace. It is from Emmy Award winner J.J. Johnson, Sinking Ship Entertainment, and the Jane Goodall Institute.
Ava Louise Murchison (Reacher) stars as Jane Garcia, a nine-year-old budding environmentalist on a quest to save endangered animals. Using her powerful imagination, Jane takes her best friends David, played by Mason Blomberg (Shameless), and Greybeard the chimpanzee on epic adventures to help protect wild animals all around the world.
Jane goes on these adventures because, according to her idol, Dr. Jane Goodall: “Only if we understand will we care. Only if we care will we help.

“One Step Closer,” the theme song for Apple TV+’s upcoming kids and family series “Jane,” is performed by Leona Lewis from music and lyrics written by Diane Warren.
The series follows nine-year-old Jane (Ava Louise Murchison), a budding environmentalist who looks up to Dr. Jane Gooddall and is on a quest to save endangered animals with the help of her best friends, David (Mason Blomberg) and Greybeard the chimpanzee.
Warren has also pledged to donate a portion of her profits from the song to the Jane Goodall Institute, a global community conservation organization founded by Goodall. “When I was asked to write the song for Apple TV+’s new series based on Jane Goodall’s mission, I couldn’t say yes fast enough,” she said. “She is my hero. The work she has done has inspired so many including me, and now she has inspired my song, ‘One Step Closer.

Apple is bringing back a re-imagined version of Sesame Workshop’s 1990s kids series Ghostwriter. The reboot was announced today during the company’s product event at its Cupertino headquarters.
Written and directed by Luke Matheny (The Dangerous Book for Boys), in the re-imagined Ghostwriter, when a ghost haunts a neighborhood bookstore and starts releasing fictional characters into the real world, four kids must team up to solve an exciting mystery surrounding the ghost’s unfinished business. Armed with secret messages only they can see, the young heroes chase down the truth — and become friends in the process.
Each episode story arc is grouped around literature, featuring classics and new works commissioned from popular authors like DJ Machale and Kwame Alexander.
The original series, created by Liz Nealon and produced by the Children’s Television Workshop (now Sesame Workshop) and BBC Television, aired on Pbc from 1992-1995. It revolved around a...

TORONTO -- Canadian cartoon producer Breakthrough Animation on Wednesday said it has sold 13 half hours of "Producing Parker", a primetime animated version of the day-time talk show genre, to domestic broadcaster CanWest MediaWorks.
Toronto-based Breakthrough said CanWest acquired the animated sitcom for its TVtropolis cable channel, with a fall 2009 bow in the works.
"Producing Parker" will portray Parker, an overworked and underpaid TV producer, and her quirky crew at work on "The Dee Show", a daytime talk show that sells viewers on "having it all."
The series' cast of animated characters includes Dee, the self-absorbed, high maintenance host, Vince, the cynical copywriter, and Chicago Hyatt, a sexy intern.
Kevin Gillis, executive producer and managing partner at Breakthrough Animation, said "Producing Parker" moves beyond the young male demo to appeal to women as well.
The animated sitcom was developed by Laura Kosterski ("Naked Josh") and Breakthrough Animation's Gillis, Carolyn Newman and Christin Simms.
