- Dan Shelby was born January 14th, and was raised in the San Fernando Valley. He starred on his school basketball teams and had a career average of 27 points a game. He went on to play college basketball but realized that coaches had very political agendas. This injustice was his first inspiration for "Faded Dreams."
He decided to pursue acting and began to get cast in independent films. One day while he was having dinner with a good friend, the idea came out that Dan should write a film based on his own experiences as a basketball player. Dan then started talking to former basketball players and got some feedback that was very similar to his experiences with coaches. With the help of one of those players, they began to write a script which led to pre-production. Dan went on to star as the lead actor, and he also directed and produced "Faded Dreams."
Despite never setting foot in film school, Dan's feature film. "Faded Dreams" turned out to be a very successful independent film. "Faded Dreams" also brought other jobs for Dan as an actor and producer. Those jobs include "Bloody Nightmares", as a lead actor and producer. Dan is known for his hard-driving dramatic acting, but enjoys being versatile in comedies such as "Private Security Officer: Los Angeles," (lead actor), meanwhile all of his films have had have high demand on retailers like Netflix and Tubi. With the success of those films, Dan has teamed up once again with his business partners to produce and star in the sexy cult comedy "Snatched!"
