Jessica Paré is known for proudly embracing the iconic gap in her teeth, which has made her smile famous.
When she first auditioned for Mad Men, it was to play the prostitute who slaps Don in the face during sex in season four. While Paré did not get the role, Mad Men creator Matt Weiner called her back for another role thanks to her tooth gap.

In 2012, she discussed her teeth and her Mad Men audition in an interview with New York Magazine.
Weiner found himself drawn to Paré’s gap-toothed smile. Her teeth are so distinctive he even wrote a scene in which Megan recalls being told she could never be an actress because of them. Paré doesn’t understand all the fuss.

Actress Christina Hendricks has tied the knot with cinematographer George Bianchini. The wedding ceremony took place at the historic Napoleon House in New Orleans. The guest list included ‘Mad Men’ creator Matt Weiner, Christian Siriano, Mae Whitman, and Retta, reports ‘People’ magazine.
Hendricks told ‘People’ that both she and Bianchini opted for the Big Easy as their wedding destination due to their shared affection for the city.
“New Orleans is a place that I always loved to go before I met George, and a place that he always loved to go before he met me. And then, when we first started dating or meeting up, because we lived across the country from one another, it was the place in the middle,” she explained.
“It just feels like our city together, even though we both loved it individually.”

Maha Dakhil, who was Co-Head of Motion Pictures at CAA, has temporarily stepped away from day to day leadership and resigned from the agency’s internal board after her controversial comments on Israel’s response to the Hamas terror attacks.
Dakhil represents stars including Tom Cruise and Natalie Portman and the move comes after talks with the Bryan Lourd, Kevin Huvane and Richard Lovett-led agency.
She will, however, continue working with clients.
CAA just sent out an internal note with the changes.
It comes after she reposted an Instagram story earlier this week that said, “You’re currently learning who supports genocide”.
Dakhil, who also represents the likes of Anne Hathaway, Reese Witherspoon and Olivia Wilde, subsequently apologized in a statement and admitted that she made a “mistake”.
“I made a mistake with a repost in my Instagram story, which used hurtful language. Like so many of us, I have been reeling with heartbreak.

Exclusive: The Writers Guild of America’s silence on the October 7 terrorist attacks on Israel looks to be the only statement they’ll be making, at least according to West Coast president Meredith Stiehm.
“In the past week, some members have requested that the Guild take a public stand on events in the Middle East,” WGA West boss and former Homeland EP today told showrunners and others who have sought a statement of support and condolence from their Guild similar to what the DGA and SAG-AFTRA, plus Disney, Comcast, and many others have already said for the over 1400 killed by Hamas and the hundreds taken hostage. “Equally, many members have asked us to refrain from making any statement” Stiehm continued in the email sent out at around noon today.

An estimated 75 members of the Writers Guild of America met Friday afternoon for a 90-minute Zoom meeting that served as an outlet for their collective disappointment about their union’s silence after Hamas’ attack on Israel.
Showrunners including Hank Steinberg (Without a Trace), Howard Gordon (Homeland), Joel Fields (The Americans) and Marc Guggenheim (Legends of Tomorrow) attended the virtual gathering in which attendees expressed confusion about why the WGA, fresh off a nearly 150-day strike, has not joined other guilds including SAG-AFTRA and the DGA in condemning the Oct. 7 Hamas terrorist attack that killed 1,400 people, mostly civilians.
“It feels very much as if we all marched in solidarity for five months having our guild’s back and here they are not having ours,” Guggenheim told The Hollywood Reporter after the meeting.

Exclusive: The Writers Guild of America hasn’t said anything publicly about the savage attack on Israel by terrorists on October 7, and a number of irate showrunners and others will be discussing that silence Friday.
Almost a week after dozens of high-profile WGA members put out an open letter reprimanding guild leadership for “when terrorists invaded Israel to murder, rape, and kidnap Jews… the Guild stayed silent,” guild members are getting together to say something more.
“The guild wants this to go away, but we aren’t going away — it is outrageous they’ve said nothing, absolutely outrageous,” one individual who plans on joining today’s virtual meeting told Deadline.
Chaired by American Soul creator Jonathan Prince, a Zoom meeting is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Pt today to discuss why the WGA has been silent about Hamas’ onslaught against the Jewish state, which has left more than 1,400 dead and thousands injured.

Dispatches From The Picket Lines: Scribes Celebrate New Deal While Showing Solidarity With SAG-AFTRA
This is Day 76 of the SAG-AFTRA strike.
The morning after the WGA strike was called to an end, the SAG-AFTRA picket lines thinned out at Warner Bros. Discovery and Disney, with significantly fewer stars, however, a handful of scribes continued to turnout for their thespian brethren.
Elated about the WGA strike’s end, For All Mankind writer Bradley Thompson, beamed at the Disney gates, “About freakin’ time!”
With a new scribe deal that contains big leaps in AI guardrails, residuals and data transparency for writers, Station 19 and Cruel Summer co-ep Anupam Nigham told Deadline, “It feels good that we got them to come up from $86M to $233M [annually] over three years.”
With movement made on the writers room minimum staffing front, the new deal will see that by Dec. 1, development rooms, otherwise known as pre-greenlight rooms, and regular writers rooms for television and Hbsvod series will have requirements regarding the...

Updated, Day 46: After visiting many, many picket lines over the last month, we’ve learned that lots of pickets signs are reused for conservation purposes. And to that we say — screw the recycling. Bring on more of those sweet corporate burns!
Fortunately, many of the scribes haven’t lost their saucy touch.
“Let them drink Dom,” says one Zaslav-themed confection.
“Ted Sarandos ate my son,” says another.

TORONTO -- Canadian broadcaster CTV on Thursday said it has acquired the first two seasons of AMC's "Mad Men" and intends to give the U.S. cable drama its first free TV airdate.
Toronto-based CTV said it picked up the Canadian conventional and cable TV rights to "Mad Men", which was created by executive producer/writer Matthew Weiner and produced by Lionsgate.
CTV also acquired the broadband and VOD rights for the second season, which AMC ordered in September after "Mad Men" had a successful rookie season on the U.S. cable channel.
CTV in 2000 became the first free, over-the-air TV network to air "The Sopranos", which Weiner executive produced and helped write. Now it will do the same with Weiner's latest creation, a drama set on Madison Avenue in the 1960s.
The cast includes Jon Hamm, Elisabeth Moss, Vincent Kartheiser, January Jones and Christina Hendricks.
"With creator Matt Weiner, there's a real pedigree evident in 'Mad Men' that originates directly from 'The Sopranos.' Weiner's years on 'The Sopranos' has manifested in the experience he brings to this next, great, big buzz show," Susanne Boyce, president of creative, content and channels at CTV, said of her latest acquisition.
