There are many memorable relationships on Grey's Anatomy. Whether it's romantic, friendship, or family, there is no shortage of amazing relationships that leave a lasting impression and make us smile.
Some of those relationships are mentorships. In the fast pace world of medicine where individuals are drawn to particular fields and look to others to learn everything there is about them, it's common for mentor/mentee bonds to form.
Grey's Anatomy has many of them. As you can imagine, Cristina Yang has had her fair share of mentors, but did you realize April has, too? How about Derek's knack for choosing a favorite apprentice to take on the neurological world?
Check out our list of the best mentorships on Grey's Anatomy. Do you agree? Disagree? Hit up the comments below and let us know what you think.

Admit it, you went through a handful of tissues, didn't you?
And by "handful," I mean potentially an entire box.
It has been a while since Grey's Anatomy has given us one of those episodes that leaves you curled up in the fetal position bawling your eyes out. There have been a few sniffles here and there, but not a sob-fest.
Grey's Anatomy Season 13 Episode 18 was exactly that, a sob-fest. It also was one of the best installments of the season thus far.
Hats off to Ellen Pompeo for making her directorial debut. She did an incredible job, and one can only hope that she continues down this path and chooses to direct more down the road.
But I would be remiss to go on discussing this amazing hour without commenting on just how breathtaking Kelly McCreary's performance was throughout this hour.
Someone, anyone, submit this for an Emmy reel.

If you haven't at least heard the name Lin-Manuel Miranda, I don't know what rock you've been living under, but it's time to crawl out. Miranda has been making headlines for the past year thanks to Hamilton, the Broadway musical that he created and starred in. Hamilton has seen enormous success, and since Miranda is set to leave the show in July to tackle new projects, there are a few things you should know about him. Here's your cheat sheet! The basics: Miranda was born and raised in the Washington Heights neighborhood of New York City. He's of Puerto Rican descent, a fact he proudly showed off at the Grammys this year. He attended Wesleyan University, where he formed a hip-hop comedy troupe and wrote and directed musicals. You may have seen him on TV already. Before he became a household name (at least if you live in the greater...

Manuel here. During last night’s joyous Tony Awards, many of us got the first look at a Disney film that is sure to crash what’s looking like an already crowded Best Animated Feature race. Between Kung Fu Panda 3, Zootopia, Finding Dory, and the upcoming Sausage Party, Trolls and The Secret Life of Pets, there’ll be no shortage of films to round out a competitive category. And that’s even before we begin taking seriously the foreign productions which often leapfrog over the American CGI spectacles to worthwhile nominations (fingers crossed for Kubo and the Two Strings and The Red Turtle). Enter Moana:
As is become custom with female-driven Disney properties, the marketing team at the Mouse House is looking to play another bait and switch—remember how all those early Frozen teasers looked like Ice Age ripoffs by focusing on playful scenes of what we all assumed would be that annoying snow man? or those Tangled ones which put Flynn Ryder at the center of the action, barely making mention of the film's fairy tale leanings? This first teaser is all about Maui (voiced by Dwayne Johnson) while giving us very little sense of what the first ever Polynesian Disney princess story will be about.
We’ll wait for a full on Yes No Maybe So when the full trailer drops, but in the meantime, enjoy the teaser where you can see that Ron Clements and John Musker (they of Aladdin and The Little Mermaid fame) have stayed true to the Disney formula and given Moana a delightfully adorable pet.
Immediately, I'm already won over by the beautiful use of color—those sky blues and ocean hues look sumptuous to say the least. Also, I can't be the only one having Hercules flashbacks with that tattoo intro bit but anything that reminds me of those hilarious muses is fine by me.
But perhaps I'm burying the lede here: Moana may be the film that gets Lin-Manuel Miranda his Egot. After winning two (more) Tonys last night for Hamilton, having won Grammys for both his Broadway shows, and an Emmy for the "Bigger!" Tonys opening number a few years back, Miranda may nab his first Oscar nomination (even a win?) for the music he's written for this Disney flick. It'd be a heck of a way to cap off a great year for the ever entertaining Broadway superstar and perhaps a way to further welcome him to Hollywood ahead of his next big film project, a little movie called Mary Poppins Returns.

Jessica Lange got one statuette closer to joining the pantheon of uber-talented folks who have picked up the grand slam of entertainment awards, the Egot (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony). At Sunday’s Tony Awards, she won the Lead Actress in a Play honor for Long Day’s Journey Into Night, her first Tony. Lange returned to the role of Mary Tyrone in this year’s revival of the Eugene O’Neill play after she told her American Horror Story producer Ryan Murphy that she wanted to revisit the character. She’d played the part in London 16 years ago. The Ahs/Glee creator got a shoutout in Lange’s acceptance speech when she thanked “my dear friend Ryan Murphy, who made this possible to do.” Two of Lange’s three Emmys are for American Horror Story. The other is for 2009 HBO movie Grey Gardens. The first award she logged for her pending Egot was her Oscar for Tootsie in 1982. She won another Academy Award in 1995 for Blue Sky. Still needed to get Lange into the Egot club: a Grammy. We know she can sing, as she did on multiple occasions for American Horror Story and for Grey Gardens. There is also a less musical way she could earn a Grammy: Best Spoken Word Album. But just you wait: Lange’s win may not be the buzziest bit of Egot movement in 2016. Lin-Manuel Miranda began 2016 with two marks on his Egot checklist: His Tony for In the Heights and an Emmy for writing original lyrics for a song in the 2013 Tony Awards telecast. Now monster hit Hamilton’s earned him three more Tony statuettes and the Grammy that got him one step closer to Egot status. Next up, his chance at an Academy Award — Moana. By the first sweet sound of Miranda’s tunes we got to hear in the Disney musical’s teaser trailer released today, Miranda may have a solid shot at an Oscar in next year’s ceremony. Miranda and Lange accepting Tonys on Sunday night. Miranda read a sonnet he wrote for his acceptance speech for Best Original Score. Photos credit: John Paul Filo/CBS Frozen songwriter Robert Lopez is currently the youngest of the exclusive club of 12* to call themselves Egot winners and also the one who worked his way to winning all four the fastest (within 10 years). If Miranda walks home a winner from next year’s Oscars, when he’ll beat Lopez for both distinctions at age 37 having won all four awards in just less than nine years. *Yup, just 12, when you’re only counting competitive (not honorary) wins Hamilton made Tonys history as the production with the most nominations ever (a whopping 16). Though it didn’t break the record for most wins — its 11 statuettes are just shy of The Producers’ record 12 — history still happened in Manhattan tonight: For the first time, all four musical acting awards went to people of color — Hamilton’s Leslie Odom Jr., Daveed Diggs, and Renée Elise Goldsberry and The Color Purple’s Cynthia Erivo. Tell the Oscars that Broadway gets the job done.

As the confirmation of a Mary Poppins live-action adaptation starring Lin-Manuel Miranda spiraled through the media Tuesday, theater's most captivating creator yet is finally destined for the Hollywood spotlight. Cast as new character Jack, 36-year-old New York City native Miranda may seem like an industry newcomer to those strictly interested in film and television. While he has a handful of movie and series credits to his name—including stints on House and Modern Family—Miranda isn't typically thought of as a movie star along the West Coast. Instead, the composer and rapper has seen meteoric success on the stage as the man behind several of Broadway's modern...
