What could be better than purchasing a cursed box on your summer break from college, right? That is not a good idea, unless you want to be haunted by ancient Irish ghosts. Phase 4 Films has recently picked up director Carlos Ramos Jr.'s Kill Katie Malone for a video-on-demand release and it was just back in late April that this horror film's trailer debuted (Kill Katie Malone Trailer). [1] I wasn't planning to write about Gallery1988's first annual "Is This Thing On" art show as it really has little connection to movies or television (or so I thought... the above piece featuring Judd Apatow mashed-up with the infamous Star Trek Tribbles episode is a fine example of this). The show, co-sponsored by FunnyOrDie, features over 100 artists, each creating pieces that are portraits of their favorite funny people, both beloved comics of yesteryear and emerging superstars. The line up of comedians depicted include: Chris Farley, Will Ferrel, Richard Pryor, Don Rickles, Paul Reubens,Tim & Eric, Nick Kroll, Demetri Martin, Chris Rock, Whitney Cummings, Jon Lovitz, Sam Kinison, Bill Murray, Woody Allen, Colin Quinn, Bill Hicks, Howard Stern, Judd Apatow, Chris Hardwick, Marc Maron, Scott Auckerman, David Spade, Andy Dick, Lenny Bruce, Adam Sandler, Amy Sedaris, Lisa Lampanelli, David Cross, Andy Kaufman, Christopher Guest, Mr. Show, Rob Corddry and Children's Hospital,...

Not everyone appreciates the odd eccentricities of film virtuoso Stanley Kubrick, but most people can get behind a batch of kick-ass artwork and that.s what I.ve got for you this early morning. Carlos Ramos will be taking over the Copro Gallery in Santa Monica, CA starting July 10th until August 3rd with a mountain of cel vinyl on wood paintings inspired by the late Clockwork Orange director. All of his most famous films are represented except for Full Metal Jacket, but the Gallery page is just a preview of the work so there quite possibly could be some missing work that will appear at the opening. Kubrick films are the type that need to be watched multiple times in order to truly appreciate, but seeing them through someone else.s eyes really helps peel back the layers. If you.re in SoCal and have a minimum of $2300 to...
