I always knew that the death of Sir Christopher Lee would hit me very hard, but, even after talking to him about his heart condition quite a few years earlier (one of the great privileges of my commingled careers in history and film), receiving the news that he was gone was a sledgehammer blow that will always be felt. And I have NOT had a very "easy" life, to be sure, in really any way. My meetings with Lee and the equally beautiful Vincent Price are among the very finest moments of my half-century practically existing within a true (pre-digital) cinematic realm. I will always miss Sir Christopher more than I can say. What a stunning human being.
