Cassadee Pope draws on her pop-punk roots in the guitar-driven new song “What the Stars See,” a collaboration with Lindsay Ell and Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild. It is Pope’s first new release since the 2020 EP Rise and Shine.
Penned by Pope with Jake Rose and Lindsey Rimes, “What the Stars See” comes with the heavy guitar crunch and thundering drums to fit its angsty atmosphere. With palm-muted guitars chugging beneath her, Pope wonders what an ex might be up to. “I can’t stop picturing/What you...

All-American Rejects' Tyson Ritter in the "Beekeeper's Daughter" music video
It's been a while — like, almost three years — since the All-American Rejects have made a music video, so it shouldn't come as much of a surprise that, when they got the go-ahead to shoot a clip for "Beekeeper's Daughter" (the first single from their upcoming Kids in the Street album), they decided to go all out.
"This was the first video where, when we got [the treatment], everyone said 'yes' and I said 'yes ... but could we please have some of this?' And I proceeded to sort of expel every fantastic idea I could think of," frontman Tyson Ritter explained. "From, like, a hipster fight — beards versus mustaches, a lot of plaid, had to be like 'West Side Story' — to some she-devils. Everything we could...

In late December, the All-American Rejects broke up over Twitter. We think. See, it all started when songwriting partners Tyson Ritter and Nick Wheeler got into a rather nasty spat over dinner, then took to their respective Twitter accounts to post the details.
Both men wrote that they were done with Aar, which whipped their considerable fanbase into a frenzy — until New Years Eve, that is, when Ritter and Wheeler made up (and made out) at the stroke of midnight — while wearing party hats, nonetheless — and posted a Twitpic for proof. The message seemed clear: We're not breaking up.

How did you spend the holidays? Well, if you were All-American Rejects frontman Tyson Ritter, you feuded with your longtime bandmate (and songwriting partner) Nick Wheeler, created a wave of breakup panic that shook your fanbase to the core, then assuaged all those fears with a sloppy New Year's Eve snog.
And you did all of this via Twitter.
It all started on December 22, when Ritter tweeted that he had "just walked out on dinner" with Wheeler — with whom he started Aar way back in 1999 — and that he was "over this sh--."
No reason was given, but the same sentiment was echoed by Wheeler, who took to his Twitter account soon after, to write that he was "Fed up with Ty and his B.

Well this is some nice news to wake up to on the eve of Christmas, particularly if your a fan of the band The All-American Rejects. Scheduled to headline the Warped Tour this summer, guitarist Nick Wheeler and singer Tyson Ritter had a huge blow up on Twitter last night with Wheeler suggesting that he's leaving the band for good. To start things off, Tyson tweeted: "Just walked out on dinner with heels, I'm over this shit." Then, Nick had to have his say of words and tweeted: "Fed up with Ty and his Bs...I'm out! Forever!" I guess that's an early Christmas gift to fans of The All-American Rejects. Will they kiss and make up before this summer's Warped Tour? What do you guys think of all this?

Weezer are confirmed to collaborate with rap mogul Lil Wayne in their new single called "Can't Stop Partying". The song is co-written by the band's frontman Rivers Cuomo with the help from Jermaine Dupri.
" ... It's time to do something totally different. So I reached out to some friends of mine in different genres: Jermaine Dupri, for example, king of R&B, I wrote a song with him called 'Can't Stop Partying'," Rivers told MTV. "It was a real challenge for me, taking his ideas, which are very slick, R&B party [ideas], and giving it some kind of edge, some darkness, making it work with rock, making it work with Weezer."
"Not only that, but we got Lil Wayne to come in and do a rap on it," the vocalist continued. "Any other rapper would've just done, 'Yay, we're partying! Let's drink and have fun,' but he gave it the edge I was looking for.

By now, you are probably aware that on Weezer's upcoming Raditude album (a.k.a. "the one with the dog on the cover"), frontman Rivers Cuomo has decided to shake things up, working with the All-American Rejects' Tyson Ritter and Nick Wheeler, Butch Walker and super-producer Dr. Luke.
But the shaking didn't stop there. Perhaps taking a cue from Girl Talk or millions of amateur mash-up auteurs out there, Cuomo has recruited none other than Lil Wayne to contribute a verse to a song on the album.
"Weezer is always trying something new," Cuomo told MTV News. "Last year, we put out The Red Album. We loved that album, but this is 2009. It's time to do something totally different.

There were several memorable arrivals at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, including Lady Gaga showing up with a Muppet on her arm, Pink cruising in a fire truck and Taylor Swift emerging from a horse-drawn carriage. But one of the arrivals was so big it simply couldn't fit in the confines of the preshow. Before storming Radio City Music Hall, sitting in with house band Wale and Ucb and voicing their opinions about Kanye West, the All-American Rejects brought along a marching band and arrived at the red carpet on a massive parade float.
The band eased their way to the Vma red carpet on the very patriotic-looking float as the two-dozen member marching band played the group's hit "Gives You Hell." Once the conveyance stopped, frontman Tyson Ritter (dressed in a red suit, obviously before he donned his all-glitter ensemble), drummer Chris Gaynor and guitarists Nick Wheeler and Mike...

After all, Ritter already has an impressive string of radio smashes to his credit ("Swing, Swing," "Dirty Little Secret," "Move Along" and, most recently, "Gives You Hell,"), and Rihanna, well, she's Rihanna.
The only problem was, neither party had actually commented on those rumors. Until last Friday, that is. In professional wrestling, sometimes beloved heroes will do something that turns them evil and makes the crowd absolutely hate them. It's referred to as a "heel turn," and last night's Video Music Awards featured a classic turn from Kanye West. What at first seemed like a charming lark (maybe he just wanted to meet Taylor Swift?) quickly turned ugly when West started talking about how much better the Beyoncé video was before storming off the stage and flipping off the crowd. A bewildered Swift wandered away, clearly confused and upset.
It was the defining moment of last night's show (complete with a heroic save at the end of the show care of Beyoncé), and just about everybody weighed in on the incident. A number of stars voiced their opinions via Twitter, but just as many spoke about it with MTV News. Jim Cantiello caught up with Tyson Ritter and Nick Wheeler...

After their electric performance of "I Wanna" on "It's On With Alexa Chung," the All-American Rejects came back to New York to hit the stage of the "Today" Show Concert Series this morning. Fans circled the NBC building — some who had been waiting since 5 a.m. — in hopes of meeting the band during their warm-ups.
Frontman Tyson Ritter came onstage before the rest of the band and was quite chipper for his 7 a.m. call. The band busted through some Beatles covers and singing Kenny Loggins' "Danger Zone" before chatting with Matt Lauer. During the interview, Ritter flashed the crowd his tattoo of the band's logo (each band member has one), located on his chest.
The crowd went wild when the band launched into their hit single "Gives You Hell," and guitarist Mike Kennerty finished the song by throwing his guitar pick to an adoring fan.

We are on the eve of history today as Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen prepares to open nationwide Wednesday at 12am. After working and perfecting this masterpiece, Michael Bay must sit back and watch the numbers come rolling in. Critics are predicting that Revenge of the Fallen will not only take the weekend box office, but will outperform all other summer flicks. The cast and the crew of Transformers have their eye on the gold; try and beat the second-biggest Hollywood grossing film The Dark Knight which took home over 158.4 million dollars opening weekend. Tickets for tomorrow night's midnight showing are going quick and with weekend seats already filling up it seems that it could be a close race. With an all star cast leading the sequel into the history books, all we can do is pack into the theaters and watch history happen. Tomorrow Shia Labeouf is ready to...

The All-American Rejects certainly made the most their interview time at the Wango Tango fest last weekend.
Usually, the backstage areas at radio fests are where artists play nice — with each other and the journalists on hand — exchanging pleasantries, giving the usual sorts of answers to the usual sorts of questions, and generally not rocking the boat in any way. But not the Rejects.
First, they strongly hinted that they were going to be touring with Blink-182 this summer, to the surprise of pretty much everybody. (A rep for Blink has not commented on those comments.) Then they slammed just about everyone else on the Wango stage.
“We’re the only people on this whole stage that don’t play to [previously recorded] tracks … and that includes vocals,” Aar frontman Tyson Ritter smiled. “So it’s kind of interesting knowing we’re going to be the only completely authentic thing on the stage today.

Four-piece rock band The All-American Rejects have premiered a music video in support of their brand new single, "Gives You Hell". Directed by Marc Webb and co-produced by DNA, the music video revolves around a feud between a happily-ever-after couple and their rocker neighbors.
"The video basically pits one neighbor against another terrible neighbor, who lives on a completely opposite schedule. He's not on the grid - he's not on, like the song says, 'a 9-to-5 pace.' And this guy's living the cookie-cutter life, with his white picket fence, and his wife who brings him lemonade when he's washing the car," frontman Tyson Ritter told MTV about the music video's concept. "So it's kind of like the clash of those worlds; only at the end, there's kind of a twist, where the two worlds kind of flip-flop. Yeah."

As a precursor to their third upcoming effort, "When the World Comes Down", The All-American Rejects unveil the first single, "Gives You Hell", from the record. Carrying twelve tracks, the album is confirmed to hit the market on November 18 under the courtesy of Interscope Records.

The All-American Rejects have a "dirty little secret" – they're milk drinkers! The rock quartet, best known for the top 10 single "Dirty Little Secret," recently joined the likes of David Beckham, Beyoncé, Martha Stewart, Muhammad Ali and Mike Myers as Austin Powers among the milk-mustachioed stars who have appeared in the "Got Milk?" ads. "They're all very iconic," rhythm guitarist Mike Kennerty tells People. "It's definitely a big deal. The only thing bigger than 'got Milk?' are those T-shirts that rip off the saying by asking 'got' something else."Lead singer-bassist Tyson Ritter says of the shoot by revered celebrity photographer Annie Leibowitz,...
