Bernice King, the daughter of Coretta Scott King and Martin Luther King Jr., has seemingly criticized Jonathan Majors for using her mother’s name during a recent interview on Good Morning America.
In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, King paid tribute to Scott King, writing, “My mother wasn’t a prop.” She added, “She was a peace advocate before she met my father and was instrumental in him speaking out against the Vietnam War. Please understand… my mama was a force.”

Bernice King took to social media after Jonathan Majors mentioned her mother’s name, Coretta Scott King, while addressing his girlfriend’s support during his recent domestic violence trial.
While she didn’t mention Majors’ name in her post, she wanted to remind people that her mother, a civil rights icon, “wasn’t a prop.”

Jonathan Majors has spoken out for the first time since a New York jury found the actor guilty of assaulting and harassing his ex-girlfriend.
In a new interview that aired Monday on “Good Morning America,” Majors denied any wrongdoing and expressed feeling “absolutely shocked and afraid” by the guilty verdict.
“I’m standing there and the verdict comes down,” Majors recounted to ABC News anchor Linsey Davis. “I say, ‘How is that possible?’ Based off the evidence — based off the prosecution’s evidence, let alone our evidence — how is that possible?”
The “Creed III” actor was convicted of two misdemeanor counts of harassment and assault over a domestic dispute with his former partner, Grace Jabbari. Majors will be sentenced on Feb. 6. He faces up to a year in jail but also could be sentenced to probation.
Majors was arrested on March 25, 2023 after he assaulted Jabbari in the backseat of a private car.

Marvel Studios has parted ways with Jonathan Majors — the actor cast to play Kang, the central antagonist in the Multiverse Saga of the Marvel Cinematic Universe — after he was convicted on Dec. 18 of two misdemeanor counts of harassment and assault of Grace Jabbari, his ex-girlfriend. A source close to the studio confirmed the decision to Variety.
In the verdict, Majors was also found not guilty of one count of intentional assault in the third degree and one count of aggravated harassment in the second degree.
The actor was arrested on March 25 on assault and harassment charges, after Jabbari accused Majors of assaulting her in the backseat of a private car after she took his phone to read a text message he’d received from another woman. Jabbari alleged that Majors forcefully retrieved his phone from her, causing an “excruciating” injury to her right middle finger, and when she exited the car,...

We never meet the narrator (Nick Offerman) of Bob Byington’s film Frances Ferguson. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing or uncommon, but I couldn’t shake the idea that we should. It’s because he isn’t some omnisciently objective voice telling us a story. He interjects opinions, giggles, and often meanders to the point where his subject (Kaley Wheless’ Frances) must speak up to help him along. In one instance he mentions a “We” as though his (and another’s) entrance on-screen was imminent. It’s not. He means us, now … maybe. The film never acknowledges the weird duality of his presence as someone and no one simultaneously. It’s probably just a quirky choice for comedy within a dryly-quirky film I’m reading too much into, but it frustrated me without end.
This probably stems from my being frustrated right from the start as that glibly,...

Lionsgate is capitalizing on its recent acquisition of 3 Arts Entertainment by setting up two multi-camera comedy series prospects for Fox from talent repped by the management-production firm.
Both projects will be co-productions with Fox Broadcasting Co. The orders for these projects and others are a sign that Fox intends to continue developing scripted series even as its parent company awaits a big transition in selling off other studio and network assets to Disney.
“Uncle Joey” stars comedian Joey Diaz as a Cuban immigrant with a troubled past who moves to an upscale suburb to raise his daughter. “King of the Hill” alums Sivert Glarum and Michael Jamin penned the script and exec produce with Diaz and 3 Arts’ Michael Rotenberg, Jonathan Berry and Josh Lieberman.
“Significant Brother” revolves around a newlywed couple whose life is changed when the brother’s estranged gay brother moves in and becomes best friend with his wife.

She also will develop new projects for all platforms, including broadcast, with focus on cable.
A unique aspect of the deal will enable Shaw to incubate small projects/films as both a proof of concept and a way to identify undiscovered voices. Directed By: Charles Band
Written By: Charles Band & Shane Bitterling
Starring: Kip Canyon (Danny), Jean Louise O’Sullivan (Beth), Oto Benzina (Freuhoffer), Scott King (Moebius), Brad Potts (Seargent Stone), Kurt Sinclair (Major Collins), Stephanie Sanditz (Uschi), Paul Thomas Arnold (General Porter), Terumi Shimazu (Ozu)
Nothing says “Full Moon” like the “Puppet Master” franchise. I am always surprised they come out with a new film and we are already up to the tenth entry! I have had mixed feelings about this franchise and this movie is no different. While it is better than the ninth installment, it is lacking the magic the first films had. Charles Band returns to write and direct this entry.
The movie continues where the previous movie left off. Danny and Beth have discovered that the Nazis have Tunneler and want to extract the serum from him to create super soldiers.
