April 19th, 2017, 11:04am– The good news just keeps coming this month – we recently told you about Rupert Grint‘s show Sick Note being renewed for a second season (read more here) and now it has just been announced that Crackle has renewed Snatch for a second season as well. Season 2 of Snatch will be available on Crackle in 2018 and as a special treat it was announced that an exclusive virtual reality bonus experience on PlayStation Vr will be released this summer to bridge season 1 and season 2. During the Vr experience, the hustlers attempt to break into the safe of Sonny Castillo (Ed Westwick) and can choose to keep cracking the safe or leave the hideout before the cops and Castillo’s goons arrive on the scene. Crackle also announced that Snatch has been their most-streamed scripted original to date. Amazing news. Eric Berger (Gm and Evp of Crackle) had...

It’s been 16 years since Guy Ritchie’s London crime story, “Snatch,” first debuted in the U.S., and, while the black comedy pulled in a decent sum, its primary accomplishment was of a cult fandom (and earning Guy Ritchie a shot at the big time). With that in mind, I don’t feel too bad for only remembering a few key moments from a film built on a sharp wit and distinct characters:
Alan Ford’s thick, creepy glasses; Dennis Farina’s crass American foil to all those classy Brits; Jason Statham proving he can do more than just beat the hell out of his co-stars; the tragic fate of Benicio del Toro’s Franky Four Fingers; and, of course, the sole iconic element of Ritchie’s first major studio film (aside from ultra slo-mo fight scenes): Brad Pitt’s gibberish-spouting gypsy boxer with a devastating right hook,...

Two episodes were provided for review prior to broadcast.
Few directors have enjoyed an opening one-two like Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch, Guy Ritchie’s crime capers that starred lovable rogues exploring the underbelly of London. The latter is now being adapted into a TV series by the beautifully-named network Crackle, but as it turns out, it has little to do with its namesake, telling a fresh story in modern London with a new all-star cast who’ve walked straight out of the pages of a girl’s fantasy scrapbook.
Where Ritchie’s Snatch gave us tough guys like Vinnie Jones and Jason Statham, here we get hunky Luke Pasqualino of Skins fame, Gossip Girl’s Ed Westwick and even Ron Rupert Grint in the role of aristocratic bumbleton Charlie Cavendish-Scott. Seriously, I wouldn’t be surprised if Hoult, Radcliffe and Harington are lined up for future episodes.

Gossip Girl star Ed Westwick is a long way from the Upper East Side in his new Crackle series, Snatch.
In Et’s exclusive sneak peek at Thursday’s series premiere, Westwick’s Sonny Castillo, a fiery and ruthless Cuban gangster, is counting his cash when his “moll,” Lotti (Phoebe Dyvenor), pesters him about getting her fair cut of the earnings from his London club, El Flamingo.
“Always with the drama, Lotti,” Sonny sneers. “You need to center your fire, baby girl.”

“Yeah, you’re right,” Lotti agrees, grabbing a handful of cash and dipping it into a burning candle before tossing it in the air. “I’ll torch this place to the ground with you in it.”

Get ready to see more Ron Weasley! Well, not really, but Harry Potter star Rupert Grint seems to have "snatched" himself a sweet new role.
The 28-year-old actor executive produces and stars in the new Crackle series, Snatch.
Exclusive: Adam Brody Ditches the Comedy and Embraces Serious Business in 'StartUp'
Grint plays a slightly posher character than Ron Weasley in the new series inspired by a real-life heist in London, starring as Charlie Cavendish. Gossip Girl star Ed Westick (hi Chuck Bass!) also stars as Sonny Castillo, while Skins' Luke Pasqualino and Scream Queens' Lucien Laviscount round out the ensemble cast.
Snatch centers on a group of up-and-coming hustlers who stumble upon a truck-load of stolen gold bullion, and are suddenly thrust into the high-stakes world of organized crime.

Last year it was announced that Rupert Grint was starring and executive producing Crackle’s new series “Snatch.” Now, during the streaming network’s panel at the Television Critics Association, they released the first trailer, which features the actor as the posh con man Charlie Cavendish.
The 10-episode, one-hour series is loosely based on Guy Ritchie’s 2000 comedy of the same name, starring Jason Statham and Brad Pitt. Inspired by a real-life heist in London, the series centers on a group of twenty-something, up-and-coming hustlers who stumble upon a truck load of stolen gold bullion and are suddenly thrust into the high-stakes world of organized crime.

Guy Ritchie's classic film Snatch is being adapted into a series for Sony’s streaming network Crackle. I’m a huge fan of the film Snatch, and I even had a role in the film’s marketing campaign before it was released in 2000. I never thought I’d see it end up being a series, but it’s happening, and Harry Potter’s Rupert Grint has landed a lead role. According to Deadline:
Snatch will carry the spirit of the setting in the film, while creating a new world with new characters. Inspired by a real life heist in London, Snatch, centers on a group of twenty-something, up-and-coming hustlers who stumble upon a truck load of stolen gold bullion and are suddenly thrust into the high-stakes world of organized crime. Jason Statham is out and Rupert Grint is in. Here's the trailer for the TV remake of Snatch...
Guy Ritchie's 2000 movie Snatch is the latest film to get a TV remake. The original film, of course, starred the legendary Jason Statham alongside a bloke named Brad Pitt.
See related Power Rangers, boob armour, and impractical costumes
The TV take on Snatch will star Harry Potter's Ron Weasley actor Rupert Grint. He'll play Charlie Cavendish, who's been described as “dynamic, frustratingly chaotic, and utterly posh.”
Here's the first trailer...
The show's cast also includes Dougray Scott (Mission: Impossible II, Taken 3, Fear The Walking Dead) as Vic Hill, and Ed Westwick of Gossip Girl as Sonny Castillo. Fans of the film will notice that these are brand new character names, not recastings of the old crew.
Here's the synopsis, which, again, isn't identical to the film...
