Ian McShane confirms he'd be up for a Deadwood return - but that they better get cracking...
It was just a few weeks ago that HBO programming exec Casey Bloys said that Deadwood creator David Milch was still working on the script for a movie based on the beloved Western series. But with the project first announced a year ago Milch certainly seems to be taking his time. Yet the movie is still in the works, and series star Ian McShane says he’s ready to return as well to the role of Al Swearengen.
Den Of Geek Us spoke with McShane at the recent press day for John Wick: Chapter 2 (in which he reprises his role as assassin society chieftain Winston) and naturally Deadwood came up. “I am going to have lunch with David next week,” revealed McShane. “He is writing the script. I think they are doing rewrites.

And now he is sunbathing!!!!!!! He took my sunbed!!!!!!x. Vb" But the insanity doesn’t end there. She posted that comment along with a photo of David next to a cardboard cutout of Justin Bieber. Why the Beckhams have a cardboard Justin Bieber, I don't know. I can only imagine they use it when their sons act up. Boys! Stop shouting in the house! Look at Justin, you don’t...

It’s week two and the mystery is gone…maybe. It seems Melrose 2.0 has rushed to a few reveals in the second episode without letting characters, and their seedy pasts, reveal themselves more slowly. If it’s true, that’s not exactly a shocker (they’re both redheads, and Violet had stolen that photo of Sydney in the first episode). But I’m hoping that the theory is just a little too neat – maybe Sydney’s denials will turn...
