The New Xbox One Experience will be with us on November 12, and with it comes the highly-anticipated backwards compatibility update. Come the service’s release, 104 games from the Xbox 360’s vast back catalogue will be available to play on the Xbox One, says Mike Ybarra, Director Of Program Management for Xbox.
Today, I’m happy to unveil to you the first 104 Xbox One Backward Compatibility games. Some of my favorites are included, like the complete “Gears of War” catalog, “Assassin’s Creed II,” “Fallout 3,” “Borderlands,” and “Castle Crashers.” The full list of the first 104 games is below and can also be found on Xbox.com/BackCompat. And, as I shared at Gamescom, going forward, all Xbox 360 games available through Games with Gold after Nov. 12 will be playable on Xbox One.
You can peruse the full list of games to be available on day 1 below:

Turbo Monster Truck is a simple monster truck game. Here you get behind the wheels of your monster truck and start to drive it across the different tracks in the different levels of the game. There is no time factor in the game and so you need not be in a hurry. However, maintaining balance is very important because the tracks have extreme unevenness and that makes driving very challenging. Moreover, there are things floating around that must be collected to get better scores in each level. Use the arrow keys to drive and balance the monster truck in the […]...

It seems like monsters are all the rage on toy shelves at the moment, with lines like Mattel's Monster High dolls paving the way for all sorts of fun and hideous creations. Always one to capitalize on a trend, Toys R Us this week launched their very own exclusive line of monster toys, a partnership with Creata that sees the birth of Monster 500; a cavalcade of monster vehicles that are sure to ride their way under the Christmas trees of monster loving kids the world over, this holiday season!
Invasions 1 and 2 of these 3-inch die-cast vehicles were released into Toys R Us stores earlier this week, and the first two waves include characters such as Zoom Zombie, Flattop Frank, Drac Attack and Turbo Chainsaw Maverick. Priced at $5.99 apiece, ten characters comprise the first two series' of the line, with four of them being made available in larger size light-up vehicles - measuring 4" high by 5" long.

Sort of just a general topic podcast today with no real focus though we delve into the death of James Gandolfini off the top, Jim Carrey's thoughts on violence in Kick-Ass 2, today's new DVD and Blu-ray releases, listing off some of our favorite movies and Laremy is asked to green light one of two sequels based on the stats for the first film. Which one will he give the greenc I want to remind you that you can call in and leave us your comments, thoughts, questions, etc. directly on our Google Voice account, which you can call and leave a message for us at (925) 526-5763, which may be even easier to remember at (925) 5-bnl-pod. Just call, leave us a voice mail and we'll add those to the show and respond directly. An alternative to that option is a new way of leaving us a voicemail directly from your computer.

The humble Spectrum was home to some remarkable games - including these underappreciated masterpieces...
I, like many, spend many years playing Spectrum games. I defended the computer in the school playground, I kept playing with the machine long after everyone had migrated to likes of the Atari St and Commodore Amiga, and I spent an unsavoury amount of my meagre pocket money building up my games collection.
However, a lot of lookbacks at the Spectrum era tend to focus on the big highlights. What I wanted to do here is put together a personal listing of 50 titles that don't seem to get that much attention.
So, if you're wondering why Gollop brothers games, anything by the late, great Mike Singleton, the acclaimed works of Ultimate, the likes of Exolon, Head Over Heels, Advanced Lawnmower Simulator, Match Day, Batty, Wizball, Firefly, Nebulus, Fairlight, The Sentinel,...

Time to adjust your movie calendars as Warner Bros admitted today that having Zack Snyder’s Superman: Man of Steel film for Christmas 2012 was impossible. The new date is now June 14, nestled between two Marvel sequels.
Given the effects-heavy movie’s post-production requirements and the fact is has yet to start shooting, it seems likely that production concerns forced Warner’s hand. It’s also theorized that the testosterone-laden film might not play as well during the holidays given the Academy Award contenders that normally crowd multiplexes during that time of the year. There are also other genre competitors that will suck up screens, complicating the planned release including Warners’ own first installment of Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit in addition to Disney’s planned reboot of The Lone Ranger. Back in the far simpler 1970s, Superman the Movie opened for the holidays and performed quite well and Warners was...
