As The Bold and the Beautiful fans continue to speculate whether John McCook is departing the long-running CBS soap, the actor’s daughter, Molly McCook, has shared a loving tribute to his 30-plus years on the hit show. In recent episodes, John’s Eric Forrester has been dealing with a life-threatening illness, with his doctor giving him only weeks to live. More members of the Forrester family will learn of Eric’s heartbreaking news this week, which has led many viewers to wonder whether the Forrester patriarch is truly leaving the series. Molly took to Instagram on Friday, November 10, to post a video mostly filmed backstage in her father’s dressing room. “I hadn’t visited since the pandemic so this was a very special day,” she captioned the post. “My dad is an actor. In order to collect her inheritance in India, Meera comes up with a plan to inform her family she is, in fact, married – to the handsome Rama she met only moments ago – and returns home with him to sign the paperwork. As they keep up the ruse, Meera and Rama find themselves developing genuine chemistry, but this new arrangement brings yet another surprise.

The Food Network is aiming to be more than Bobby Flay and Guy’s Grocery Games. It’s now in the movie business.
Ree Drummond will costar in Candy Coated Christmas, the first original scripted film to appear on discovery+. The production is a collaboration between the streaming service and Food Network.
In the film, Drummond plays Bee Tyler Essary, a bakery owner. As with many Christmas stories, the plot involves a woman (played by Molly McCook) returning home, in this case to Peppermint Hollow. She is befriended by Drummond, the bakery owner, and sweet things ensue.
Of course, since it’s tied in with the Food Network, there will be recipes offered online. The film is set for a November debut on discovery+.

Food Network is teaming up with its sister streaming service Discovery+ to get into the holiday TV movie business with the cable channel’s first-ever scripted film, “Candy Coated Christmas.”
Though the movie, which features “The Pioneer Woman” star Ree Drummond in her first ever acting role, is a Food Network production, it will not air on the cable channel, instead being available only to Discovery+ subscribers when it debuts in November.
Here’s the official synopsis for “Candy Coated Christmas”:
Molly Gallant (Molly McCook), a Los Angeles-based marketing executive on top of the world, is planning a new business venture with her best friend and heading to the airport for her annual holiday father-daughter trip to Hawaii when she learns that the seed money she was counting on for her business has disappeared. Discovery Plus and Food Network are staking their claim to the holiday movie business.
Food Network has completed production on its first-ever scripted movie, “Candy Coated Christmas,” which won’t air on the linear cable channel but rather on Discovery Plus. The feel-good holiday movie features Ree Drummond, host of the cabler’s long-running “The Pioneer Woman.”
“Candy Coated Christmas” will mark the first original scripted movie to air on Discovery Plus. Discovery and Food Network aim to grab a slice of the holiday movie audience that has proven to be so lucrative for Hallmark Channel, Freeform, Discovery’s OWN and other cablers. Food Network and its sibling channels under the Discovery umbrella such as HGTV and Investigation Discovery already attract large female audiences, which is a good fit with the holiday movie demo.

Last Man Standing is ending after three seasons on Fox, nine total, including an original run on ABC. And while the network has opted not to order another season, it is is sending Tim Allen and the rest of the Last Man Standing family off with praise just days before its series finale.
“The show took a bold, yet relatable, point-of-view with great humor and sensibility that directly spoke to families. Tim, the producers and cast have been great partners, and I believe this series will go down as one of the most meaningful family comedies in television,” said Michael Thorn, President of Entertainment for Fox Entertainment told Deadline. “It’s only fitting that a show of this importance gets the opportunity for a big, proper farewell to its loyal fans.”
In its hour-long finale, Last Man Standing will bid adieu to Mike Baxter and the rest of his quirky family members and co-workers.

Tim Allen is wrapping yet another long-running family sitcom as Last Man Standing nears its series finale on Fox. Though experienced the actor and executive producer may be at bringing beloved projects like Home Improvement and Galaxy Quest to close, Allen said it was difficult to say good bye to the on-screen family he’s come to know for nearly a decade.
“To be very honest, I have had problems letting go of this one. It’s just been three or four weeks and I’m literally just feeling better. Never have I enjoyed, outside of Home Improvement and maybe moments of Galaxy Quest, one of these jobs,” he said. “This crew, from the guy at the gate to Radford inside to people we ate with, I loved every second of this experience.”

Mike and Vanessa Baxter love their granddaughter Sarah — they just don’t want to be saddled with her permanently. Unfortunately, the two don’t know exactly how to break that to their daughter and son-in-law on Thursday’s “Last Man Standing.”

“Last Man Standing” is coming to an end (again) with its upcoming ninth season, and TheWrap has an exclusive first look at the Fox (and former ABC) sitcom’s final batch of episodes. Three first looks, actually.
In the first clip, which you can view above, Vanessa (Nancy Travis) tells Mike (Tim Allen) that the umpire mask he’s wearing doesn’t actually count as a mask in the way he wants it to during a pandemic.
There are two more promos for you to check out below, one that makes a not so subtle hint about trying to boost ratings by announcing you’re going into your final season — of playing football for the NFL — and one where Mike declares himself the “Snack Master General.”

Last Man Standing is coming to an end, again.
The Fox comedy will end with its upcoming ninth season, which will premiere on the network in January.
The move means that the Tim Allen-fronted series will have run for 194 episodes when it ends with its ninth season being ordered for 21 episodes.
It marks the second time that the sitcom has come to an end; the show, which is produced by 20th Television, ran for six seasons on ABC and was axed in 2017. Fox, which at the time was part of the same corporation as the studio that made it, picked it up for a seventh season that premiered in September 2018.
Last Man Standing is currently Fox’s only returning live-action comedy. The network has straight-to-series comedy series Call Me Kat, starring Mayim Bialik and executive-produced by Bialik and Jim Parsons, launching in midseason and is still planning to film...

“Last Man Standing” is coming to an end — again.
Fox announced Wednesday that the previously announced Season 9 of the Tim Allen multi-camera comedy will be the show’s last. The ninth and final season is slated to debut in January. This will mark the second time “Last Man Standing” has ended. The show originally ran for six seasons on ABC before being canceled in 2017. Fox then picked up it for a seventh season, which began airing in 2019. Upon its conclusion, the show will have filmed 194 episodes.
“It has been an honor to be home for Tim Allen and ‘Last Man Standing,’” said Michael Thorn, president of entertainment for Fox Entertainment. “Millions of families have long enjoyed the show because, perhaps, they see themselves in the Baxters. “Last Man Standing” will now get a proper series finale. Fox announced Wednesday that the Tim Allen-led sitcom will wrap up after its upcoming ninth season next year.
Fox picked up the sitcom after it was dropped by ABC after six seasons. Allen was irked by ABC’s decision to cancel the series despite its solid performance on Friday nights. In a statement, he seemed much more sanguine about the series’ second ending.
“I’ve been one lucky dude to have been part of ‘Last Man Standing,'” Allen said. “I so appreciate the incredible support from our fans over this near decade of work. As we approach the ninth season, I just admire and feel grateful for all the hard work our wonderful cast and crew have done. What can fans expect from the new season of Last Man Standing? Executive producer Kevin Abbott recently spoke with TV Guide about how the Fox TV show will address the Covid-19 pandemic.
The comedy series, which was just renewed for a ninth season, revolves around Mike Baxter (Tim Allen), the marketing director of the Outdoor Man sporting goods stores and a “man’s man”. His family doesn’t see eye-to-eye with him so it can sometimes be a little tough for Mike to stand his ground and stay in touch with his inner man. The cast also includes Nancy Travis, Hector Elizondo, Amanda Fuller, Christoph Sanders, Molly McCook, Jordan Masterson, Jonathan Adams, and Krista Marie Yu.

Fox has officially renewed two more series for next season, flagship comedy Last Man Standing, headlined by Tim Allen, and medical drama The Resident, starring Matt Czuchry and Emily VanCamp. Both come from 20th Century Fox TV and both had been a lock to come back.
The pickups leave freshmen Prodigal Son and Outmatched as the only remaining Fox scripted series yet to hear their fate. As we reported, drama Prodigal Son’s renewal is being finalized while comedy Outmatched is not expected to continue.
Last Man Standing and The Resident will join the rest of Fox’s returning live-action series on the bench of midseason. Because of the uncertainty surrounding the timing of Hollywood’s production reopening amid the coronavirus pandemic, Fox’s fall schedule only features scripted series that are either already in the can or are animated, as animation has not been significantly impacted by the pandemic.

It’s not about whether you win or lose, it’s how you play the game — unless you’re Mike Baxter, that is. And this fact is more clear than ever on Thursday’s “Last Man Standing,” which sees Mike (Tim Allen) attempt to get his wife Vanessa (Nancy Travis) to join his bowling team.
In TheWrap’s exclusive clip from the episode, which you can view above, Mike comes home with a bottle of “fancy” wine for Vanessa and tries to pretend there’s no ulterior motive behind the act of kindness — but Vanessa knows better than that.
They go around in circles for a bit until Vanessa gets Mike to admit he wants her to join his bowling team after their daughter Mandy (Molly McCook) switched over from “Team Baxter to Team Jesus.” Yeah, Vanessa refuses and Mike asks her to give him one good reason why.

It looks like the guys’ hard work on their new car restoration business is finally paying off come Thursday’s episode of “Last Man Standing.” Well, for Mike (Tim Allen) and Chuck (Jonathan Adams) it is, but Joe (Jay Leno) thinks he’s getting the shaft when an article about their new venture barely mentions him.

But then Joe comes storming in to let them know he’s not thrilled with the picture the story paints of him and how little he’s contributed to the business.

Mike Baxter (Tim Allen) has a problem on Thursday’s “Last Man Standing” — what else is new, right? — one that he can’t sleep on any longer: Vanessa (Nancy Travis) has started snoring and he is incapable of suffering through it. Of course, he does his best to present this issue to his dear wife in the most loving way possible, but she still doesn’t take the news so well.
