Things are beginning to pick up speed as the end of NCIS: New Orleans Season 3's end appears on the horizon.
Just for good measure, the team also had to deal with a super-virus making a unit of Seabees sick on NCIS: New Orleans Season 3 Episode 19.
It's a shame Pride and company kept getting tripped up by "need to know."
They didn't need to know why a special unit of Seabees was brought in to install supposedly high-speed, fiber-optic cable, a task that could have been handled by any competent civilian contractor.
It was pretty obvious by the way Commander Lopez was ignoring their inquiries that more was happening than she was letting on.
So the NCIS squad got left in the dark when trying to solve the mystery of who was poisoning the Seabees, which was hard to figure out when they didn't know what was being worked on.

Like the mighty Mississippi itself, New Orleans seems like a meandering place, where things don't change too quickly.
But that lack of progress isn't a good thing in a TV series. That's why it's good that there were a number of developments on NCIS: New Orleans Season 3 Episode 10.
The series picked right up again with another Cuidad Natal cartel episode, focusing more closely on its New Orleans head, Javier Garcia, finally introduced in NCIS: New Orleans Season 3, Epsiode 8.
Garcia got more interesting this episode. Instead of being just a money-laundering businessman for the cartel, he showed a brutal side, sacrificing several underlings and having his fiancee Eliza gunned down.
Bombastic Isler, who doesn't understand the meaning of subtle, pretty much tipped the hand of law enforcement to Garcia, who just replied nonchalantly in response.
I understand New Orleans can be a really dangerous place.

It's a time of transition at NCIS: New Orleans.
Change is in the magnolia-scented air on NCIS: New Orleans Season 3 Episode 8, as team members are busy making adjustments in their lives.
First is Lasalle with his instant family. A word of caution for Lasalle: "Yup, he looks like me" is not a proper paternity test. Get a real paternity test before caring too deeply for Tucker. Melody's sudden re-appearance just smells suspicious.
Of course, Lasalle, lunkhead that he is, didn't mention to his partner, Percy, that he has a family, because he didn't want to disappoint her. Being the last to know naturally didn't sit too well with her.
Percy: Just like it's none of my business that you told everyone else on the team about your love child except me. It doesn't mean a thing. We're good.
Lasalle: So, wait, you are mad.
