Senior colorist from Argentina with extensive national and international experience along his thirty years career in digital color correction for film, advertising and TV content. He studied filmmaking at Instituto de Arte Cinematográfico de Avellaneda, focusing in photography and film history. His beginnings in color correction were in the process of converting film stuff to analog or digital video, in telecinemas and scanners. Russo has worked with the most prominent directors and directors of photography for film & advertising in various national and international agencies (Videocolor, Metrovision, Post Bionica, Che Revolution Post). In 2013 he opened Pentimento Color Grading, his own digital color grading studio.
Since he was a kid, his passion for cinema, music and art allowed him to develop a sensitivity in the creative process. Professionally, he turned it into the search for a color look in the photographic image of film and TV. For several years Jorge Russo has been organizing film retrospectives in Buenos Aires and in his hometown Chivilcoy. He is also one of the organizers and curators of Raíces, a very well established international film festival of that countryside city.
