When Calls the Heart finally put some "heart" back in the series.
When Calls the Heart Season 11 Episode 5 showcased how strong the Hope Valley community was when they worked together and banded together to save Lucas's new resort.
"Stronger Together" explored multiple other subplots and relationships, including whether Nathan and Elizabeth would finally admit their feelings to each other.
Lucas never expected so many issues with clearing the Hope Valley resort, but some were vehemently opposed to it.
The problem was that Mike's sister, Maisy, was the biggest hurdle in their way.
The men only saw her as a problem they needed to overcome, while Mei was worried about getting Maisy to relax and open up.
Since Mei viewed her as a person, Maisy admitted her physical ailments and why she was so demanding about the resort.
It seemed no one took her concerns seriously in Benson Hills, either. They...

Almost ten years after the first movie’s release, Inside Out 2 is coming back with a renewed plot and some much more adult matters to think about.
The upcoming animated film, which is set to be released this June, will remain its focus on the main character Riley, but with drastic changes as Riley stops being a kid and turns into a teenager — and these changes reportedly had a very weird source of inspiration.
What Will Inside Out 2 Be About?
As it has been revealed before, Inside Out 2 will introduce several new emotions that will appear alongside Joy, Sadness, Fear, Disgust and Anger in the Headquarters which is basically Riley’s head. Among the newcomers the most anticipated one is probably Anxiety, voiced by actress Maya Hawke, that shows up when Riley decides to join a hockey team.

Kaley Cuoco, who is best known for playing Penny in the sitcom ‘Big Bang Theory’, has called herself ‘mom of the year’. The 38-year-old actress gave the title to herself after she planned her daughter’s first birthday party all by herself.
Cuoco welcomed baby Matilda into the world last year with Tom Pelphrey and admitted that when it came to marking the little one’s first birthday, she took it upon herself to become “mom of the year” by throwing a Disney-themed party, reports ‘Female First UK’.
The actress told Access Hollywood, “I planned a Minnie Mouse-themed birthday party. I did it all by myself, I was mom of the year. All by myself, swear to God, on my own! It is shocking because I’m not great at stuff like that but, no, I did it.”

What a way to bring it home in the final ten minutes of the hour.
Mostly, The Rookie Season 6 Episode 4 was a relatively underwhelming hour, hovering on uneventful and laissez-faire.
But then, they packed all the action and excitement into those final ten minutes where Lucy Chen became a complete and utter badass.
While those final scenes didn't ultimately make up for everything else, they livened things up and introduced some potentially interesting angles and moments of development for Lucy.
The hour also saw Aaron Thorsen returning to active duty after leave and the dynamic duo he and Bradford are together.
There were many odd tones in this installment.
One of the most notable was the team getting sucked into this case that they thought involved a serial killer that we had never even heard about before this.
You had a crappy day. You had them before, you'll have them again.

"Pee-wee's Playhouse" was an anomaly. It premiered a year after the surprise box office success of Tim Burton's "Pee-wee's Big Adventure," and, like "The Pee-wee Herman Show" before it, seemed to be strictly kids' stuff. But Paul Reubens' overgrown child act uniquely appealed to the inner brat in all of us. It wasn't like Looney Tunes, where artists snuck in adult-skewing references, nor was it a full-on, off-color parody of the kiddie show format that you'd find on "Saturday Night Live." It was honestly, disarmingly, good clean fun. Its target audience could enjoy it over a bowl of Frosted Flakes, while college students and beyond could enjoy it over a bowl of Frosted Flakes preceded by a bowl of ... something else.
A weekly half-hour dose of Pee-wee was bliss in 1986. I'd just started junior high, which is when your action figures are immediately consigned to the attic, so admitting...

Natasha Lyonne, who got her start on television at age 6 as a member of the Playhouse Gang on Pee-wee’s Playhouse, remembered star Paul Reubens today and thanks him for her career.
“Love you so much, Paul,” Lyonne tweeted today after news broke of Reubens’ death from cancer. “One in all time. Thank you for my career & your forever friendship all these years & for teaching us what a true original is.”
Reubens, who created and played the character of Pee-wee Herman, died at age 70 following a six-year, private battle with cancer.
Lyonn played the character of Opal on six episodes of the first season of the CBS Saturday morning series, which ran from 1986-1990. She would go on to star in, among other things, Orange is the New Black, Party Monster, Russian Doll and, most recently, Poker Face.

Season one of The Lake was about showcasing the family dynamics of stepsiblings, Maisy and Justin. It seemed like an advanced version of Modern Family. The last episode gave us an indication that Maisy’s mother would play a crucial role in the next season. So, let’s find out what this season has in store for the audience.
Spoilers Ahead
Justin And Riley’s Wedding
Justin is back at the lake, awaiting the return of Billie. Riley and Justin got back together in the last season, and it’s been a year ever since. Riley asks Justin to marry him because he feels it is the right time to do so, and it would also allow Justin to stay close to his family cottage, even though it’s filled with people he despises. Justin initially hesitates because of the divorce, which puts a lot of strain on him. But...

James Ijames’ defiant and raucous play Fat Ham, now at the American Airlines Theater on Broadway, begins in transition. Relics of a recent funeral are slid into corners to make space for tributes to a celebratory future. The scene, designed by Maruti Evans, is set for a cookout: Smoke rises languorously from a grill, snakes up the red brick wall and disappears behind the curtain. Tables are cloaked with the signature blue and red checkered plastic linings of summer parties and picnics. Mismatched balloons dot the verdant green grass. In a corner stands a wreath honoring the recently deceased.
Juicy, the mercurial protagonist played with relaxed style by Marcel Spears, reluctantly prepares to celebrate the marriage of his mother, Tedra (Nikki Crawford), to his uncle, Rev (Billy Eugene Jones). His dad, Pap (also played by Jones), hasn’t been dead for a week and the newlyweds behave as though he never existed.

Like that relative who picks through the chicken parts at a family picnic to find the leg or the breast or the thigh with just the right amount of crisp, playwright James Ijames has no reluctance to rummage through the bones of Shakespeare’s Hamlet to cook up the irresistible Fat Ham.
Audacious at points, quietly amenable at others, the Pulitzer Prize winning comedy carries the burden of our expectations more lightly than some other prize recipients who’ve made their way to Broadway recently, including Between Riverside and Crazy, Cost of Living and even A Strange Loop, the stage work that Fat Ham shares its concerns over masculinity (mostly of the toxic variety ), queerness, and the search for – or insistence upon – love and acceptance within the family and, very specifically, the Black faith community.

Exclusive: D.K. Uzoukwu, Telma Hopkins, Jay Wilkison and Norah Murphy have joined the cast of Amazon Freevee’s Clean Slate as series regulars. They join previously announced stars Laverne Cox and George Wallace.
Clean Slate follows old-school and outspoken car wash owner Harry Slate (Wallace), who is thrilled his estranged child is finally returning home to Alabama after 17 years away. However, he has a lot of soul-searching to do when the child he thought was a son returns as the determined, proud, trans woman Desiree (Cox).
Uzoukwu will play Louis, a closeted gay choir director at the local church who the older female congregants insist on trying to fix up. He’s a close childhood friend of Desiree, and the only person who gives her a genuinely heartfelt welcome home.
Hopkins will play Ella, Louis’ mother, a no-nonsense jack-of-all-trades who has known Harry for much longer than either of them would like to admit.

As a sequel to "Avatar: The Last Airbender," "The Legend of Korra" started off with big shoes to fill. The series didn't always walk the straightest path in these shoes. "Book 1: Air" is rock solid but underserved by its breezy 12-episode run. "Book 2: Spirits" is entertaining but a structural mess. However, seasons 3 and 4 overcame the growing pains and delivered an experience as incredible as "The Last Airbender" at its best.
One area where "Korra" never faltered was its voice cast. Comedian Janet Varney was perfect as Korra, imbuing the young Avatar with both spunk and self-doubt. There were also plenty of big names in the cast: J.K. Simmons as Korra's mentor Tenzin (the son of previous series' heroes Aang and Katara), Bruce Davison as an aged Fire Lord Zuko, Aubrey Plaza as the goth waterbender Eska, and Spike Spiegel himself Steve Blum as Amon, the masked villain of...

For a Saturday morning children’s show, the number of rising stars who passed through Pee-wee’s Playhouse is a marvel — and indicative of just how developed an eye Paul Reubens had for spotting emerging talent. There was Laurence Fishburne as Cowboy Curtis; Phil Hartman as Captain Carl; S. Epatha Merkerson as Reba the Mail Lady; Jimmy Smits as repairman Johnny Wilson.
And eagle-eyed viewers of 1986’s season one might also recognize a young kid named Opal — who’d grow up to earn multiple Emmy nominations for creating and starring in a completely original sci-fi dramedy on Netflix. Opal was played by a 6-year-old Natasha Lyonne, who is once again in the Emmy conversation for the second season of Russian Doll.
