Norma Bates isn't going to be winning any Mother of the Year contests, but two "Bates Motel" Season 1 deleted scenes show just how terrible she can sometimes be.
Both clips are included on the A&E hit's Season 1 Blu-ray/DVD release, and were posted online by TVLine. In the first, Norma gets an unexpected call from her estranged son Dylan, while in the other she forces Norman to go to school after a night of covering up the murder of Kevin Summers. Check them both out below.
Zap2it recently spoke to "Bates Motel" stars Freddie Highmore and Nestor Carbonell about the forthcoming second season of the series, which won't premiere until 2014. "This show is infinitely more exciting for that, especially when your main characters are so ambiguous, you find yourself almost rooting for Norman despite the fact you know he's going to become this infamous serial killer," Highmore says.
