Can you believe The Apprentice is ten years old today? Yep, back on February 16th 2005 the UK was introduced to Suralan, Nick and Margaret and a batch of candidates hoping to become the next big thing at Amstrad.
Things have changed a bit since then - it's no longer Suralan but now Lord Sugar, the prize has changed to a £250,000 investment, and neither Nick or Margaret will be there next series. But one thing's for sure - the candidates will still be entertainingly barmy.
To celebrate The Apprentice's tenth birthday, we thought we'd take a little trip down memory lane and pick out just ten of our most memorable candidates. Obviously, there are a whole bunch that could have made it into this list, so let us know who you would have picked below! And so, in no particular order...

The Pa today reports that former The Apprentice winner Michelle Dewberry has revealed that she’s already “fielding calls” from next year’s batch of hopefuls.
Just days after this year’s series ended, seeing Tom Pellereau crowned victor, the businesswoman said she’s been contacted by dozens of aspiring entrepreneurs who are looking for tips on how to make it onto the show.
She said, “I’ve had some people for the next year already that are interviewing saying ‘what do we do about this, what do we do about that’.
“My advice is don’t ask people, just go and do it.
“I also think if people need to ask advice in the interview it’s probably not the show for them, because you just need to be yourself.
“At the end of the day you are who you are. Just be yourself and if it’s the best you can do,...

Lord Sugar has admitted that he regrets hiring Michelle Dewberry on The Apprentice. Dewberry beat her competitor Ruth Badger to win a job with Sugar in the show's second series. Speaking at the launch of the new series, Sugar explained that he might not have made the right decision. "[Picking Michelle over Ruth] is the only one where you could say that there is some regret," he said. "And the regrets really were very much that she decided that what my company had to offer was not for her. The reason Ruth wasn't chosen is another private issue." However, Sugar (more)...
