The Chicago Fire wedding for Matt Casey and Sylvie Brett finally happened.
It was a family affair, with Firehouse 51 making up many attendants.
The Darden boys were there, Kelly Severide returned to be Casey’s best man, and Brett’s new baby had a front-row seat.
One scene even focused on the son of Joe Cruz, whom he named after their fallen firefighter friend Otis.
The small nod to Otis was nice, as was having Trudy Platt (Mouch’s wife) in attendance to celebrate Brettsey.
Amelia was even there, standing near a fish tank during the wedding. But not every Chicago Fire fan remembered who she was.
Who is Amelia on Chicago Fire?
Amelia is the daughter of Sylvie Brett’s biological mother. Her mother, Julie, died in childbirth. Since then, Brett has tried to be involved in Amelia’s life.
Amelia is Brett’s maternal half-sister. Though there is a considerable age difference,...

Chicago Fire fans had to watch Kelly Severide leave again on Wednesday night.
Severide left Chicago Fire in Season 11 under similar circumstances – he wanted to pursue his love for arson investigations.
When it happened last season, the writers were responding to actor Taylor Kinney’s request for a leave of absence from the show.
Severide went to Alabama to receive intensive training to become even better at investigating arsons, but he left the training to join a task force.
Stella Kidd (played by Miranda Rae Mayo) had to track him down and bring her husband back to Chicago.
This time, Kidd balked at first to Severide leaving Chicago again, but she eventually relented, and Joe Cruz (Joe Minoso) stepped into Severide’s spot again.

It's not unexpected, but that Derrick Gibson is already a permanent member of Truck 81 is surprising.
There is usually a little more vetting with permanent members, but on Chicago Fire Season 12 Episode 3, what he didn't have to prove to the firehouse, he did have to prove to Mouch.
The hour also showcased two cases, one longer-tail than the other but equally as frightening.
Let's talk about Gibson first.
He seems like a great addition to Truck, and there is barely anything about him that even throws off Mouch, and it's not for lack of trying.
Mouch has this thing where he takes it upon himself to discover everyone's dark secrets when they arrive at 51, and then he does what he can to exploit them.
He's never malicious, but the man is a snoop who thrives on drama. If he didn't spend all of his spare time at Molly's, I'm sure...

Chicago – He has portrayed the reliable firefighter Joe Cruz for six seasons on NBC-tv’s “Chicago Fire”… Joe Minoso both plays that role and actually lives in Chicago now. Before his stint on “Fire,” he had completed a short film for local filmmaker Ben-Hur Uribe, “Alonso, The Dream and the Call,” which has just been released for Amazon Prime download.
“Alonso, The Dream and the Call,” although completed several years ago, seems ripped from today’s headlines. Minoso portrays Alonso, a Latino immigrant living in Chicago and working long hours in construction to take care of his wife and kids. When a persistent cough won’t go away, the insurance-less Alonso has no choice but to wait it out in the emergency room, jeopardizing his work and family time. The film also features a cameo from Chicago actor and “Saturday Night Live” veteran Tim Kazurinsky.
