Bobby Maruvada was born in Madras, India on December 30, 1964. the son of a
world renowned research engineer and a musician, he pursued both of
those fields in college, graduating with a bachelor's degree in music
from Berklee College of Music in 1987, and a master's degree in
computer engineering from Boston University in 1991. For the last
fifteen years, Bobby has been a DP, Director and Editor and Flame
artist for Core group Ltd. doing commercials and corporate image pieces
as well as coordinating and producing high end trade shows for large
pharmaceutical companies such as Bristol-Meyers Scuibb, Amgen and
Sepracor. From 1992 to 2001 Core Group was based in Boston and NYC, and
subsequently moved to Santa Monica in late 2001. In 2002 Bobby and his
wife Anat Grant embarked on producing ScubaCore, a dive travel series
that was released on DVD for the dive community. They traveled the
globe in search of great diving and luxury accommodations, and
documented their travels for the dive community. ScubaCore is a pioneer
in the genre of DVD magazines, with Anat Grant as the host. The husband
and wife team has logged hundreds of hours underwater, filming Mantas,
great white sharks and marine life all over the world. In the summer of
2006, the couple welcomed their son Gil into the world, and reside in
Santa Monica. Bobby continues to work in the feature film world as a DI
colorist and Editor/Designer. He is developing a new underwater series,
as well as collaborating on a teen horror script with his childhood
friend Davy Buramb.
