The third (or fourth if you count the Cartoon Network aired Batman Be-Leagured TV movie) animated film in the now long-running Lego DC Super Heroes series – originally spun off from the cut scenes from the Lego Batman game but now all-new creations – Justice League: Attack of the Legion of Doom finally sees DC Comics’ most famous superhero team join forces for a new adventure, this time taking on their most infamous foes, including Gorilla Grodd, Lex Luthor, the Joker, Captain Cold, Black Manta, Sinestro and the latest addition to the DC villains roster, the Trickster.
As usual for these fun flicks, the movie is packed with gags and nods to other superhero media.

“Ratchet & Clank” is returning to the screen in animated form — only this time, you can’t control them. Though as it appears from the film’s first trailer, no one can. The animated video-game adaptation boasts plenty of star power in addition to the duo’s unique brand of firepower: Bella Thorne, Sylvester Stallone, Rosario Dawson, John Goodman and Paul Giamatti joined James Arnold Taylor, David Kaye and Jim Ward in the recording studio for the April 29, 2016 release. The actor who perhaps had the most fun with the film though is the trailer’s voiceover artist, who got to play with.

Over two years ago, All in all, this is definiit was announced that classic Playstation 2 platformer Ratchet & Clank would be getting the big screen treatment, and it’s all being a bit thin on the ground in regards to the new animated feature since then. Thankfully, a new full length trailer has come our way, packing in plenty of the games trademark humour and family friendly action-adventure. With one of the game’s writers, T.J. Fixman, and the original voice cast (James Arnold Taylor as Ratchet, David Kaye as Clank, and Jim Wrad as Captain Quark) on board, this could turn the fortunes of game to screen adaptions around. That’s not even mentioning the rest of the voice cast, including John Goodman, Paul Giamatti, Rosario Dawson, and Sylvester Stallone. All in all, this is definitely one for kids, both big and small, to keep an eye on. Released: April...

"When a galactic force threatens the world...! Test your gear, find your courage..." Focus has debuted a trailer for the CG animated Ratchet and Clank movie, adapted from the very popular and very amusing video game series of the same name. It's not exactly the most innovative video game adaptation, but I have to say, this looks crazy fun. James Arnold Taylor voices Ratchet, David Kaye voices Clank, and Jim Ward voices Captain Qwark, along with Bella Thorne, Sylvester Stallone, Rosario Dawson, John Goodman and Paul Giamatti all lending their voices to this, too. This is co-directed by the guy who made the Tmnt animated movie as well. Even if you're not a fan of the video game series, give this a quick watch. Here's the first trailer for Jericca Cleland & Kevin Munroe's Ratchet & Clank movie, high def from Apple: A CG-animated movie based on the iconic PlayStation video game.

As we still wait and see if a great videogame-to-movie adaptation can exist, 2016 will be the true test. Before Warcraft and Assassin’s Creed arrive, Ratchet & Clank — a franchise that has been going strong in the video game world since the first game’s release in 2002, selling over 27 million copies worldwide and spawning a whole host of sequels and spin-offs — is getting the animated feature film treatment.
For those of you not into the series, the overall arc of the story follows Ratchet (a last of his kind “lombax”) and Crank (his robot buddy) as they try to stop the dastardly Chairman Drek from wrecking havoc on the Sonoma Galaxy in order to create a new planet for his own kind. What exactly is country music? When the genre first came into existence in the 1920s, it was a lot easier to define. These days, country can be used to describe many different styles and genres. There’s country, country pop, country rock, alt-country, rockabilly, country folk and so on and so on.
Country isn’t (or should that be ain’t?) just a group of guys with acoustic guitars, a banjo and a harmonica pumping out songs for your local barn dance. It’s a huge business which has spawned some of the biggest-selling artists in music history, while becoming one of, if not the, most popular music genre in the United Stare.
Yup, Americans love their country, but country music is starting to become more and more successful in other parts of the world, including the United Kingdom. We might be a little late to the party,...

Ratchet & Clank looks gorgeous in the first ever gameplay trailer for the upcoming PS4 release.
The brand new PS4 trailer features a brief look at the upcoming animated movie, before launching into gameplay footage for the very first time.
In a post on the PlayStation blog, Insomniac community lead James Stevenson said that the studio didn't want to simply "up-res" Ratchet & Clank for PS4.
"We started out thinking of Ratchet & Clank (PS4) as a 're-imagining' of the 2002 original, revised to tie in with the deeper version of Ratchet's origin story as seen in the film," he said.
"We envisioned a curated Ratchet & Clank experience that borrowed from the spirit of the classic PS2 titles while infusing some of the best elements from the Ratchet & Clank Future games."
The studio ended up with an entirely new game with elements based on the original.

Ratchet and Clank The Movie got a whole bunch of celebrities to voice some new characters in the upcoming movie.
The cool thing behind the movie was that the original voice actors from the game are also doing the movie. James Arnold Taylor as Ratchet and David Kaye as Clank for example, but being honest they are not really big name brands. If it's one thing Hollywood knows, it's that if you attach a popular name to a movie it then creates easy marketing. Those celebrities then do interviews etc... and promote the movie.
Well that is what happened today as the studio behind the film has announced Paul Giamatti, John Goodman, Bella Thorne, Sylvester Stallone, and Rosario Dawson have all joined the cast of the movie for additional characters. The film is being directed by Kevin Munroe (Tmnt) and written by Tj Fixman, who wrote the series for Insomniac.

If you believe that snacks on the whole don’t encompass more of the creative human experience, then fear not, because Blue Dream Studios and Storyoscopic Films are producing an animated version of Animal Crackers! Directing the children’s flick are Scott Christian Sava and Tony Bancroft, based on a script co-written by Sava and Dean Lorey.
Deep in production, the film “follows a family whose life is turned upside down when they inherit a rundown circus and a mysterious box of Animal Crackers, which magically change the person who eats them into the animal they have eaten — including monkeys, giraffes, lions, tigers and bears.”
It’s a cute idea that’d be even cuter if it wasn’t such a blatant merchandising tie-in. However, cynicism aside, with a very impressive list of actors providing the vocal stylings for that array of beasties – it could be quite good fun. Already...

When the first trailer for Kingsman: The Secret Service was released some months ago, it was somewhat underwhelming. The footage selected for inclusion made it seem more like an earth-bound Men In Black reboot than an adaptation of The Secret Service comic series by Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons (creators of Kick-Ass). It seems we need not have worried, though, because all the trailer needed was more Colin Firth – and that’s exactly what we get in the new trailer, which was just released by 20th Century Fox.
This comic book adaptation comes from the pen of Matthew Vaughn and Jane Goldman – who previously adapted Kick-Ass with great success – and Vaughn is in the director’s chair once again. That in itself is an outstanding pedigree, but once you add in the source material and epic cast, it is easy to why such excitement is building around this upcoming release.

All voiceover jobs begin the same way for Maurice Lamarche. “They all involve a microphone and a room with carpet on the walls,” Lamarche said Aug. 6 at a Screen Actors Guild Foundation panel honoring nominees for best animation voiceover performance at the upcoming Creative Arts Emmy Awards. “That’s where I start from.” Lamarche (“Futurama”) was joined in a two-hour conversation at the SAG Foundation Actors Center in Los Angeles by Seth Green (“Robot Chicken”) and Stephen Full (“Dog With a Blog”), as well as moderator James Arnold Taylor. The voice behind multiple characters on “Futurama,” Lamarche was asked about the difference between doing an animated series and doing commercial work. He noted an episode of the animated series “The Critic,” in which he voiced 26 characters. “I look at it as a chance to play and bounce all over the place and change vocal tensions,” Lamarche said. He contrasted that...

In the non-stop madness that is Comic-Con, many American journalists missed an intriguing revelation from the UK premiere of "Guardians of Galaxy" on Thursday. Mr. Mark Hamill has a very scraggly beard. Hamill, as you most likely know, is in London to shoot "Star Wars: Episode VII" and - shockingly - Disney let him run wild on the "Guardians" red carpet. And, of course he spilled some details about the new movie, joking that the beard was "contractually obligated" and that he's thinking of asking the actors playing a "new generation of characters" for advice. Hamill's beard was also front and center on Friday at Comic-Con when he made a surprise appearance in a video during 20th Century Fox's Hall H presentation. The 62-year-old actor helped director Matthew Vaughn, supposedly stuck in London because he's sick, introduce a clip from the new spy thriller "Kingsman: The Secret Service." Hamill plays Prof.

Star Wars Weekends happened has been running since May 16th at Disney and runs up until June 15th. One of the greatest highlights so far though (and it’ll be tough to top this) has Mark Hamill chatting with James Arnold Taylor (arguably two of the greatest voice actors in existence) and via twitter request Hamill does the Joker meeting Luke Skywalker. And it’s as wonderful as you’d imagine!

Walt Disney World’s Star Wars Weekends 2014 has officially begun at Disney’s Hollywood Studios today. I've never been able to attend one of these weekends, but it looks like it would be a ridiculous amount of fun.
For those of you like me who won't be able to attend the event any time soon, we have a video of the Star Wars parade for you to watch. It comes to us from Attraction Magazine, who was there for the opening day festivities.
The parade includes special Star Wars guest celebrities such as Ahmed Best (Jar Jar Binks) Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca), Vanessa Marshall (Hera Syndulla — Star Wars Rebels), James Arnold Taylor (Obi-Wan Kenobi — Clone Wars) and a bunch of Star Wars costumed characters. They even included three new characters from the upcoming Star Wars Rebels animated series! Those characters were Chopper, Sabine Wren and Ezra Bridger.
I'll be honest, I'm not a big parade guy.

Netflix is reviving Star Wars: The Clone Wars for a sixth and final season.
Cartoon Network and Lucasfilm announced in March 2013 that they were ending their partnership on The Clone Wars, although it was teased that new episodes could air in some new format.
It was revealed this week that Netflix is to premiere 13 new episodes of the animated programme on March 7.
The first five seasons of Star Wars: The Clone Wars and special directors cut instalments will also be available from that date.
This will be the first Star Wars content to be streamed on Netflix.
Netflix boss Ted Sarandos announced the deal, saying: "Stars Wars is one of the most iconic franchises of all time and this series joins a long line of Disney content that Netflix members are and will continue to enjoy for years to come.

How often does one get to go to both the West and East Coast premieres of a movie – if you’re not involved in it, that is? Probably not that often. But I just did, and that was pretty darned cool. This past week, I got to experience the world premiere of I Know That Voice at Grauman’s Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood; and then two days later, the East Coast premiere of the voice acting documentary at The National Press Club right here in D.C.
If you read my columns at all, you’ll know I’m a big fan of the talents of the voiceover industry and of this documentary. So it was a ton of fun to go to the world premiere, because literally 80% of the extensive cast was in attendance, and everyone was really happy to be there.

The highlights from this year's Comic-Con were Tom Hiddleston surprising Hall H as Loki and Andrew Garfield spending a majority of his panel in character as Spider-Man. With the exception of Sacha Baron Cohen and the Spinal Tap crew, actors very rarely make appearances dressed in character. An even rarer sight is seeing voice actors dressed as the animated characters they play. It can be a bit bizarre, but it's always a treat to see. Here are 15 (and a half-ish) actors in cosplay as their own characters.
