Sony has officially announced that they have ended their agreement with PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale developer SuperBot Entertainment, and have turned over the responsibility of all future work on the PS3 and Vita version of the game — including the development of additional downloadable content — to their first-party studios.
A Sony representative confirmed the news to Kotaku, saying:
“Sony Computer Entertainment can confirm that the working agreement with developer SuperBot Entertainment has amicably ended. We have had a positive working relationship with this talented studio, and wish them the best of success in their next endeavor. PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale and the title’s forthcoming Dlc releases will continue to be fully supported by Santa Monica Studio.”
The confirmation that the two companies are no longer under contract comes just two weeks after SuperBot Entertainment was reported to have laid off several of their employees.
