Match #1: Tommaso Ciampa def. Austin Theory The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
#DIY are determined to become the new WWE Tag Team Champions, and their mission started on the right foot as Tommaso Ciampa picked up a major victory over Austin Theory. Things were looking shaky for Ciampa early, especially after Theory targeted the surgically repaired neck of the resilient Superstar. Ciampa rallied only for Theory to quickly regain control, but Grayson Waller caught wind of words from the commentary team, and Theory took his attention off Ciampa. That proved to be the difference as Ciampa shoved Theory into his partner and promptly rolled him up to score the win.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Andrade def. Apollo Crews...

What a spectacular night at WrestleMania 40! The biggest event (ongoing) in sports entertainment did not disappoint, with incredible matches and breathtaking moments. But perhaps the most shocking moment of the night is when WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H performs the unthinkable with IShowSpeed (a YouTuber and rapper), leaving the WWE Universe speechless.

After being delayed several months by the writers strike and the actors strike, season 5 of the hit Netflix series Stranger Things finally went into production at the start of the year and is now three months into its twelve month shooting schedule… but in the midst of filming, Finn Wolfhard is also doing the press rounds to promote the Ghostbusters: Afterlife sequel Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, which is set to reach theatres on March 22nd. An interview with The Hollywood Reporter was part of his press tour, and during that conversation, Wolfhard was asked about the ongoing production of Stranger Things season 5, which will also be the final season of the show. Since this is how it wraps up, it seems fitting that Wolfhard said it will be a return of the dynamics of the first season.

The History Channel has expanded its partnership with the SpringHill Company, the production company founded by LeBron James and Maverick Carter, by ordering three new documentary projects.
The first title is “Triumph: Jesse Owens and the Berlin Olympics” (working title), which will tell the story of the the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin, Germany, which was shadowed by Hitler’s white supremacist agenda, when Black track and field athlete Jesse Owens made history by winning four gold medals. Directed by Andre Gaines and narrated by Don Cheadle, the two-hour documentary will feature archival footage, animation and interviews with journalists, historians and Owens daughters as well as athletes including Carl Lewis, Noah Lyles, Erriyon Knighton, and Christian Coleman, among others.

Exclusive: Few people embody the act of balancing legacy media with the digital frontier quite like Bill Owens.
As the executive producer of 60 Minutes, he is the caretaker of a broadcast TV franchise well into its sixth decade, one of the few pieces of programming outside of NFL football capable of drawing mass tune-in. He is also aiming to deliver news about topics like the 2024 election, China, Gaza, the southern U.S. border, Cillian Murphy, and many more in a way that Gen Z cord-nevers can engage with it.
“I really do want to meet viewers where there’s interest,” he told Deadline in an interview in the show’s headquarters on Manhattan’s Far West Side. “We’re not trying to grab people on social media or TikTok by being something that 60 Minutes isn’t. We want to use the same language, we don’t want to do silly things.

Jason Kelce is poking fun at Simone Biles‘ husband, Jonathan Owens!
In case you missed it, Jonathan, who plays football for the Green Bay Packers, recently said that he was the “catch” in his marriage.
He also claimed that he wasn’t familiar with Simone (who is a legendary gymnast) before she reached out to him on a dating app.
Jason referenced his comments during a new episode of his podcast New Heights, which he co-hosts with his brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
Keep reading to find out more…
Jason and Travis were laughing about Travis’ 2024 People’s Choice Awards nomination for Athlete of the Year when Jonathan came up.
Simone is nominated alongside Travis.
“How is Simone Biles on this but her boyfriend isn’t?” Jason quipped. Travis played along. “Owens?” he asked. “Played some good ball over there, I guess.”

One of the new characters introduced in season 4 of the hit Netflix series Stranger Things was Argyle, a pothead delivery boy for Surfer Boy Pizza who helps some of the returning characters get from California back to their hometown of Hawkins, Indiana. But if you were hoping to see actor Eduardo Franco reprise the role of Argyle in Stranger Things season 5, which will be the final season of the show… well, it sounds like you’re in for disappointment. After an eight month delay that was caused by the writers strike, the actors strike, and the holiday break, Stranger Things season 5 – which is the last season of the hit Netflix series – has finally gone into production. A couple days ago, Netflix celebrated the start of production by sharing a behind-the-scenes picture of the cast hanging out with series creators the Duffer Brothers, and now they have gone a step further by sharing a picture of Maya Hawke and Joe Keery on set, back in character as Robin Buckley and Steve Harrington! If the day ever arrives when a smart director decides to make “Born to Run: The Bruce Springsteen Story,” he should seriously consider casting Callum Turner, the dreamy raw-boned star of George Clooney’s period rowing drama “The Boys in the Boat.” Turner, who is British (he’s best known for his role in the last two “Fantastic Beasts” films), has the dark-eyed, purse-lipped, lock-jawed scowl of Springsteen the working-class prince — even though Bruce, as he admitted in his one-man Broadway show, totally trumped up his proletarian roots. He was a middle-class kid from Jersey palming himself off as a kind of roughneck factory worker of the soul. In “The Boys in the Boat,” Turner, playing the pivotal member of the 1936 University of Washington crew team, exudes the same duality.

The fifth and final season of the hit Netflix series Stranger Things was supposed to go into production right around the time the writers strike hit earlier this year – so it had to be put on hold, and then there was another reason for it to stay on hold when the actors strike hit. When the writers strike ended in September, finishing the Stranger Things season 5 scripts was one of Netflix’s top priorities. And now that the actors strike has come to an end, Stranger Things season 5 is finally about to head into production. In fact, cast member David Harbour says it’s going to start filming in just a couple days!
Variety caught to Harbour at a BoxLunch Gala honoring Feeding America. When asked what comes first on his post-strike agenda, he said, “I mean, we got to film that last season of Stranger Things, don’t we?...

Season 5 of the hit Netflix series Stranger Things is also going to be the final season of the show. It was supposed to be deep into production by now, but it has been slowed down due to the Hollywood strikes – first the writers strike, then the ongoing actors strike. It remains to be seen when filming is going to begin, but yesterday, November 6, 2023, was the 40th anniversary of the day Will Byers went missing in the town of Hawkins, Indiana in the first season of Stranger Things. So the show’s writers marked the occasion by sharing the first lines from the first episode of season 5 on social media:

There have been a lot of changes in Britain’s royal family since Queen Elizabeth II’s death. One that’s been the most noticeable is King Charles‘ slimmed-down monarchy. The notion was something royal watchers had heard would be happening once Charles succeeded his mother. And the day of the king and Queen Camilla’s (formerly Camilla Parker Bowles) coronation we got to see just what that new monarchy looks like.
It’s now comprised of just 15 royals who work on behalf of the Crown. Despite the changes. a royal expert is claiming that two family members are still in the mix as “hangers-on” and their lavish lifestyles could spell trouble for the king and draw criticism from the public.
Expert calls 2 royals just ‘hangers-on’ who don’t work for the family Several members of the royal family standing on the balcony of Buckingham Palace during Trooping The Colour 2018 | Chris Jackson/Getty Images

King Charles took the British throne immediately following Queen Elizabeth’s death in 2022. While his official coronation didn’t happen until May 2023, Charles has already been ruling for more than a year, but it hasn’t exactly gone the way he planned.
For years, Charles knew that he would one day be king. But he always thought he’d have his two sons beside him ruling as more of a trio. However, things with Prince Harry have not improved since Harry left the family three years ago, and now Charles is forced to rule with a “damaged” family monarchy.

The Straw Hat Pirates are growing their ranks.
The audience for Netflix’s One Piece ballooned during the series’ first full week on the service, tallying 19.3M views from September 4 to September 10 and easily making it to the top of Netflix’s English-language TV list for the week. The audience is up nearly a million views from last week, when the adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s manga accumulated 18.5M views in its premiere weekend.
The eight-episode series still has a ways to go before it could land on the all-time most popular list, but 37.8M views in less than two weeks is still quite a feat. And there’s plenty of time left in the series’ 91-day premiere window to make it happen.

Netflix’s live-action adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s bestselling manga “One Piece” launched Friday, giving fans their long-awaited chance to compare the eight-episode first season to its print and anime versions.
The manga takes place in a fantastical world where pirates and marines battle for control over the Blue Sea. Young boy Monkey D. From Daredevil and Luke Cage to The Witcher and now One Piece, Marc Jobst has quietly become one of Netflix’s most prolific directors.
Born in Zimbabwe, the One Piece director/executive producer has now worked on seven Netflix series, and he has Luke Cage to thank in particular for this latest collaboration. In 2018, Jobst directed Cage’s season two episode, “Wig Out,” which was written by Matt Owens, One Piece’s co-showrunner. Owens never forgot the way Jobst handled the varying tones of his Cage episode, so that encounter led to Jobst directing the first two episodes of One Piece and setting the tone for the entire series, which released on Thursday.
“Out of the blue, I got this phone call asking if I would be interested in coming to talk about shooting One Piece. And what Matt [Owens] told me was, it was partly because of the fact that...

The plot follows the young crew known as the Straw Hat Pirates, who search the land and sea for the titular “One Piece,” the most famous treasure in history. “One Piece” co-showrunner Steven Maeda said it was a “journey” finding an actor to play the lead character of the Netflix live-action series, Monkey D. Luffy. The series is based on a manga which also produced an anime cartoon that’s aired more than 1,000 episodes.

In a behind-the-scenes sneak peek of the show, the cast and crew went into depth about finding actors to play the series’ main characters Monkey D. Luffy (Iñaki Godoy), Nami (Emily Rudd), Roronoa Zoro (Mackenyu), Usopp (Jacob Romero Gibson) and Sanji (Taz Skylar).
“Finding Luffy was such a journey because he is the center of the show,” showrunner and executive producer Steven Maeda said.
“Monkey D. Luffy is a big dreamer. He’s so cheerful and he loves adventure,” star Godoy said of his character. “I think we both share a lot of the same values.

In his exclusive uInterview, actor Larry Owens spoke about working with Tilda Swinton, calling her “the warmest person,” on their new film Problemista.
When asked about his most memorable moment from the shoot Owens immediately replied with “reading the script” because he feels it was where the creativity starts.
“Reading the script was the biggest moment because that’s where your imagination goes wild and that’s where the story begins.”
He continued to explain that this movie is for people who have active imaginations and that they will be able to relate to the story personally.
“It’s about like people who use their imagination and that’s going to be a lot of the audience members, who like need to hear this story but they’re hearing it from the best place,” he said.
Owens recalled meeting fellow castmate Swinton at the South by Southwest film festival in Austin,...

The episode of Best Horror Movie You Never Saw covering Let Me In was Written by Paul Bookstaber, Narrated by Kier Gomes, Edited by Paul Bookstaber, Produced by John Fallon and Tyler Nichols, and Executive Produced by Berge Garabedian.
When it comes to love stories, they simply do not have a happy ending within the context of most horror movie plots. Usually those in love become fodder together by the time the end credits roll. But what if I told you, that a love story within horror does exist, and what if it comes off as innocent and pure at first, but then evolves into something much more than we’re led on to? We’re not talking about The Bride of Frankenstein or even Bride of Chucky. You may have forgotten about one of the best remade love stories introducing a teenage vampire. In a few lines, Act Naturally, the song that opens Capturing The Friedmans - one of the documentaries that forms the backbone of Subject - hits on some of the themes this doc about other docs sets out to examine. “They're gonna put me in the movies, they're gonna make a big star out of me,” sings Buck Owens. “They'll make a film about a girl who's sad and lonely and all I gotta do is act naturally.”
Owens was likely not thinking about a documentary when he sung those lines (though ‘movie’ is used interchangeably with ‘documentary’ by some here), that question of fame and loss of privacy, and its after-effects, is at the heart of Subject. The focus here is documentary, though it could equally be any form of media that exposes its participants, forever altering their lives in some way, even if for those watching, it’s just.

No WWE star has ever been nominated for an Emmy Award for their work within the company, but Paul Heyman wants to change that with Roman Reigns.
Heyman has been working with Reigns as his “special counsel” (and now “wise man”) since Reigns debuted his Tribal Chief persona back in 2020. As Heyman sees it, Reigns’ work since then puts him in the same league as actors like Bryan Cranston or James Gandolfini in that he has crafted a “layered, nuanced persona.”
“I will honestly state that I’ll put Roman Reigns and his portrayal of the Tribal Chief up against anybody right now in how he has approached a reality-based character of the top star of the industry,” Heyman tells Variety. “And the fact that he’s not recognized by the people that are there to reward such performances with an award, to me, is disconcerting.”

Let’s hold a moment of silence for the presence wasted in writer and director Harry Owens’ feature debut, The Unsettling. Leading performances are admirable, but the tediously sluggish narrative is an ambiguous slog that culminates with the impact of a handkerchief slap. Owens’ themes feel indebted to Remi Weekes’ His House and Nikyatu Jusu’s Nanny — aligned with African horror tales on American soil — only to abandon subplot roots in a finale stricken by amnesia. The Unsettling is an unfortunate example of contemporary “Trauma Horror” trends and slow-burn A24 genre signatures, underselling both before rolling credits on what feels like unfinished business.

Cecilia Vega, who has been with ABC News for more than a decade, will jump to a new correspondent role on CBS News’ “60 Minutes,” leaving behind an influential role covering the White House for the Disney-backed news operation.
Her move marks a rare effort to expand the hub of on-air personnel devoted to “60 Minutes.” In the recent past, executive producer Bill Owens has worked to augment his staff, elevating correspondents Sharyn Alfonsi and Jon Wertheim to full-time status and trying to develop a team devoted to a separate streaming effort tied to the show, an initiative that was ultimately scrapped. Pluto, the ad-supported streaming site operated by parent company Paramount Global, does feature a channel that features curated and archival material from the long-running program.
In an interview, Owens said he has been impressed by Vega’s range of reportorial experience as well as her time spent in print journalism.

Stars: Jeffrey Owens, Mason Owens, Paul Owens, Seth Owens, Jane Gale | Written and Directed by Paul Owens
LandLocked is an interesting twist on both the found footage film and the time travel film, one that combines reality and fiction in an unsettling manner. Much like Kyle Edward Ball did with Skinamarink, writer/director Paul Owens shot the film in his own childhood home. Owens however takes it even further, he interweaves actual home movies from his and his siblings Mason and Jeff’s childhood and cast not only them but their father Jeff as well, all playing fictionalized versions of themselves.
Jeff has arranged for the family home to be demolished a year after his death. We learn this via his voice on a tape spanning several years of the boys’ childhood. Apparently, he’s been dead for a while because he tells them they need to get anything they want to save soon.

The Netflix series Stranger Things will soon be heading into production on its fifth and final season – so soon that David Harbour, who plays Jim Hopper on the show, will be working on both Stranger Things and the Marvel movie Thunderbolts at the same time in Atlanta this year. And cast member Sadie Sink is not looking forward to the show ending, saying that the idea of Stranger Things coming to an end is “scary and sad”.
Speaking with Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush on Today, Sink said (with thanks to Deadline), “We know that it’s happening and that it’s the last season, so it’s going to be emotional, I’m sure. Spoiler-free, just with the way my character ended in season 4, I have no idea what is going to happen. But I’ll be there. … (Stranger Things ending) is going to be awful. It’s going to be horrible.

After attacking the official in the ring, the incensed Superstar went ballistic on The Est of WWE and delivered two brutal DDTs to her onto the steel ring steps.

He was determined to wrestle back control of the empire he had created, feeling he had been excluded from key meetings and alleging his designs had been blatantly ripped off by his business partners.

The films of the 1980s were awash in Yuppie scum villains. These characters were loathsome opportunists obsessed with career advancement and the acquisition of wealth. They sneered at poor people, rolled their eyes at social activists (caring about stuff was so 1960s) and took advantage of people attempting to make an honest living. James Spader was their avatar, but if you're looking for the apex of the archetype, you need look no further than Paul Reiser's Burke in "Aliens."
Burke is a slimy piece of work. The Weyland-Yutani exec uses the Marines' search-and-destroy mission as a pretense to smuggle xenomorph eggs back to Earth for biological weapons development. He even releases a pair of facehuggers as a dastardly means of turning Ripley and Newt into human xenomorph incubators. Burke's subsequent death at the hands of an alien is one of the film's most satisfying moments.

George Floyd’s Family Feel ‘Betrayed’ by Kanye West, as They Consider Suing Rapper and Candace Owens
An attorney for the family of George Floyd says the family feels “betrayed” by Kanye West’s false claim that the 46-year-old’s death was from fentanyl and not a police officer kneeling on his neck for nearly nine minutes.
Attorney Lee Merritt confirms to Rolling Stone that the Floyd family is considering pursuing a legal case against the rapper and says that he is also looking into whether ultra-right-wing pundit Candace Owens could be held liable as well, since West had plucked the debunked claim from her new Daily...

In addition to railing against “the Jewish media,” Kanye West spent some time on Drink Champs regurgitating what he gleaned from the George Floyd “documentary” made by alt-right firebrand Candace Owens, his partner-in-White Lives Matter. Most notably, West said that fentanyl, and not being suffocated by a police officer’s knee, caused Floyd’s death.
“I watched the George Floyd documentary that Candace Owens put out. One of the things that his two roommates said was they want a tall guy like me, and the day that he died, he...
