I have a previous Blu-ray of 1984’s Dreamscape but this edition is a big improvement, both in the transfer and its extras. Dreamscape is a commercially successful thriller that places a superior star cast in a science fantasy with plenty of potential.

According to the website, deputies found McKnight lying on the ground next to his car when they responded to a 911 call at around 2:43 p.m. local time. Police reportedly performed CPR on the former athlete, who was suffering from a gunshot wound, but were not able to revive him.
Also at the scene was 54-year-old Ronald Gasser who told deputies he shot McKnight. NFL.com reports that Gasser was taken to the sheriff's office along with several other witnesses, but was not arrested.

Most Criminal Minds cases are solved within 42 or so minutes. By the end of the episode, an UnSub is caught and the Bau is ready to move on and go after the next one. But sometimes, an UnSub gets away. Sometimes, an UnSub sticks around for more than one episode and sets his sights on one of the team.
For the purpose of this examination of the recurring UnSubs on the CBS drama, I'm only comparing the online predators, led by Alex Zorgen, introduced in the season 10 premiere and captured in the finale, to UnSubs who have either been around for at least two non-consecutive episodes or have been a threat for more than two consecutive episodes and have had a personal impact on the team: Frank Breitkopf ("No Way Out" and "No Way Out, Part II: The Evilution of Frank"), George Foyet/The Reaper ("Omnivore," "To Hell...and Back,...

The Replicator was revealed on the "Criminal Minds" season finale. He'd been copying crimes already solved by the Bau, meaning he had to be someone with inside connections. And he was. It turned out to be John Curtis, played by guest star Mark Hamill, a former agent with a grudge against Strauss after he was rightfully demoted.
Curtis managed to get his "revenge" on Strauss by forcing her to Od and ultimately killing her. The team managed to track him down, and while things got worrisome for a while there, Curtis only managed to kill himself in the end via a massive explosion.
The episode ended with the team coming together to celebrate Strauss after her funeral. "We celebrate a life well-lived, well-loved. To a good woman, an even better mother. To our friend, who I will miss very much," said David.
It was an ending that mirrored last season's finale,...

In the "Criminal Minds" Season 8 finale, the identity of The Replicator was revealed -- Mark Hamill guest-starred as Agent John Curtis, an FBI agent who screwed up on the Amerithrax case and was demoted.
He blamed Bau and more specifically Alex Blake. He's been taking his revenge on the team all season. In the finale, he drugged Strauss and forced her to drink, killing her. She was on to him, unbeknownst to the others, so Curtis had to take her out.
But it was her quick thinking that clued the team into his identity, as he carved a figure 8 into her wrist -- which was a planted clue in a Doj report that wasn't actually a replication of anything. The team tracked him down to his Virginia compound, where Rossi managed to get Curtis trapped with his own explosives, taking him out.

The Replicator revealed himself in the Season 8 finale of CBS’ Criminal Minds, but not before displaying loads more bravado and, yes, doing some damage.
First, the crime-copying killer — played by out-of-this-world guest star Mark Hamill — targeted Strauss, in her New York City hotel room as she slept, doping her up on Ecstasy before leading her to be found outside on a bench. Hotch got to the boss lady while she was still alive, but she shared few clues before succumbing to her forced Od, dying in Hotch’s arms.
Along the way, The Replicator showed off his intel on the Bau and overall smarts,...

A cage fight ensues, where Petrov (Tito Ortiz) is beaten by Ryan. He accuses Ryan of cheating and they make it seem like he holds a grudge against him and will be up to no good. A burned Db is found. Flack (Eddie Cahill) asks Mac (Gary Sinise) if he's skipped breakfast. A melted driver's licence was found which Ided him as Ryan (Alex Nesic). Mac believes the Db was burned here and accelerant was used. The body was allowed to burn. Mac: "Somebody wanted to destroy the evidence." Sid (Robert Joy) is out of autopsy again and gasoline was used. Hawkes (Hill Harper) wonders why it kept burning, not being pedantic but he was an Me before and they didn't need for him to ask that question, though it was for our benefit. Sid believes it was the candle wick effect. His clothing kept on burning like an inside out candle wick.

A man comes too on the floor of an apartment and the TV plays in the background, a scene about self defence and not being believed. He leaves on his bike. A jury and judge arrive to view a Cs and the judge is shot by a shooter on a bike. Mac (Gary Sinise) picks up his rolling cigar. Flack (Eddie Cahill) comments the criminal court judge was shot under the noses of the cops and the jury was sequestered. Judge Vinnie Corsica (Brad Blaisdell) was presiding over the Markov trial, a Russian mobster. Danny (Carmine Giovinazzo) talks about him being the "Sammy Bull of Russian organized crime and Markov has "a dozen bodies on him." Mac: "Looks like it just went to a baker's dozen." Groan that was definitely one of Stella's lines. Hawkes (Hill Harper) and Lindsay (Anna Belknap) process the Cs. Hawkes finds a smashed bullet. Three...

A teen party goes viral and out of control when a balcony collapses, leaving one dead, Libby (Valentina de Angelis). Flack (Eddie Cahill) calls it "most parents' worst nightmare: someone spills their drink on a new carpet." Continuing, "Welcome to the end of the world as we know it." Wow Flack actually got the end line before the opening credits. Sid (Robert Joy) actually gets out of the autopsy lab to personally attend the Db at the scene. She was asphyxiated. Jo (Sela ward) estimates there were than fifty on the balcony, plus the marble table. Danny (Carmine Giovinazzo) collects prints from the table. Back at the lab, Hawkes (Hill Harper) and Lindsay (Anna Belknap) calculate the stress analysis (could have just put her on the contraption.) Hawkes calculates without the use of a calculator, but Lindsay insists on using a calculator anyway, as if he'd be wrong. The balcony...

This Friday on CSI: NY (CBS, 9/8c), the John Curtis storyline enters its final act with Det. Jo Danville reeling from the fact that the suspected rapist whom she had a role in setting free years ago in D.C. has eluded another charge, again due to compromised evidence — in the latest instance, a victim’s shaky testimony.
“She is furious,” Sela Ward tells TVLine of Jo’s state of mind. “She is absolutely obsessed with getting this guy (played by Third Watch‘s Jason Wiles), so she’s being doing things that get her in a little bit of trouble with Mac.

Sela Ward Co-Worker Drama Cast for CSI: NY
CSI: NY has turned to Michael Weston to play a former co-worker of Jo (Sela Ward) for an episode airing November 18. Weston will be playing Frank, an FBI crime lab agent and Jo’s partner before she the left Washington and the Bureau. To spice up the drama just a smidge, Jo wasn’t on the best of terms with Frank before she departed.
TV Guide reports that Frank and Jo worked on a rape case just before she left. Frank made a mistake while processing evidence and Jo couldn’t keep quiet on the mistake. This resulted in the rapist, John Curtis (Jason Wiles), getting off scot-free. Now in the present, Curtis is at it again, this time in New York, and Frank pays Jo a visit. Let’s hope he’s not too bitter. On top of that, Sen. Matthews...

By Susan Granger - Does anyone remember how ominous it was when calendar turned from 1999 to 2000?
