NCIS fans know no one can replace Michael Weatherly as Anthony D. “Tony” Dinozzo, Jr. Weatherly played the special agent in the series for over 300 episodes from 2003 to 2016, and the casting directors knew from the start that Weatherly was the top choice to play Dinozzo. So, what has Weatherly been in since leaving NCIS behind? Here’s what to know.
What has ‘NCIS’ star Michael Weatherly starred in since his exit?
Michael Weatherly was a leading star in NCIS, but he couldn’t stay on the show forever. Tony Dinozzo was last featured in 2016, and he left off by deciding to focus on raising the daughter he had with Ziva David. Showrunner Gary Glasberg spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about Weatherly’s retirement from the series.
“Michael Weatherly has been an enormous part of NCIS from Day 1. I can’t replace Michael Weatherly,” Glasberg said. “But, what I can do...

NCIS has been going strong for two decades. But there have been a few times when it seemed like the show might not be able to continue, particularly when fan-favorite characters such as Abby Sciuto and Leroy Jethro Gibbs left the show. In fact, the departure of another key actor felt like a death knell for the long-running series, an NCIS insider recently revealed.

Michael Weatherly played Tony Dinozzo on NCIS. Dinozzo was a senior NCIS agent who was part of the team led by Gibbs (Mark Harmon). The character was introduced in a Jag episode that served as a backdoor pilot for NCIS and continued to appear through season 13. It’s over.
Over a decade after its initial premiere in October 2010, AMCs “The Walking Dead” has reached its ultimate conclusion. “Rest In Peace” marked not only the last episode of the mega-sized 11th season, but the final episode of the entire flagship series. While there are a plethora of spin-offs featuring fan-favorite characters on the horizon, “Rest In Peace” closed a chapter on the core ensemble’s long fight for survival.
With dozens of recurring characters, actors juggling other filming commitments, losing its lead character, showrunner shifts, and the occasional controversial moment, finding a way to resolve the longest-running zombie television series seemed like an impossible feat. Despite all the odds, showrunner Angela Kang managed to overcome the show’s typical hiccups for an exceptionally rewarding, and emotional send-off.

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for The Walking Dead Season 11 episode 24, “Rest in Peace.”] It’s all led to this. With a horde invading the Commonwealth, Daryl (Norman Reedus) must get an injured Judith (Cailey Fleming) to safety. Meanwhile, our favorite survivors must fight back against the dead — and against Pamela Milton (Laila Robins), whose selfishness is getting Commonwealth citizens killed. But even if they manage to save the community, what’s left? And where’s Rick (Andrew Lincoln)? Surprisingly, the finale does answer these questions… although it might leave a few fans scratching their heads, too. Here’s how it happens. Jace Downs/AMC The episode starts out with two deaths: Luke (Dan Fogler) and Jules (Alex Sgambati), who both fall prey to the walker horde. The group manages to carry Luke to the hospital, but he dies shortly after getting there (in a scene that would’ve been quite moving if the show hadn...

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for The Walking Dead Season 11 episode 24, “Rest in Peace.” “We’re the ones who live.” And so, The Walking Dead ended on a heartwarming, upbeat note — a rumination on family, loss, and love’s eternal endurance. Of course, that didn’t mean the final episode left everyone unscathed. We chatted with showrunner Angela Kang about what went into some of the series finale’s biggest moments, including that surprise Rick (Andrew Lincoln) appearance, the Daryl (Norman Reedus)-Carol (Melissa McBride) “I love you,” and her favorite callback to the early seasons. Jace Downs/AMC So, my first question is just two words: Why Rosita? I was talking to Christian Serratos about the plan for the final block of episodes, and she said that she felt the right ending for her story was to die trying to save her child and to do right for her community. After 12 years, The Walking Dead will “Rest in Peace” this Sunday. The hour-and-a-half series finale has plenty of explaining to do on a variety of subjects, ranging from the odds the Commonwealth and the Civic Republic Military (Crm) are connected, to whether we’ll actually see original protagonist Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) before the spinoffs arrive. We’re breaking down eight burning questions we have for the show’s final installment, titled “Rest in Peace.” Jace Downs/AMC What Is “Designation Two”? This is an open door that might lead straight to Crm. We still haven’t gotten answers about where Connie (Lauren Ridloff) was supposed to go earlier in 11C. Supposedly, she wasn’t being sent to the labor camps: she was heading for something called “Designation 2,” a place that apparently people don’t usually come back from. Crm? It’s possible, if not likely. What Did Lance Mean...

From the opening minutes of this past Sunday night’s penultimate episode you immediately know it’s going to be an impactful one. Judith Grimes once again narrates the intro sequence, this time over a montage of our survivors picking up their trusty weapons from a large chest in Alexandria. The period of peace in the Commonwealth is over, and once again the crew needs to arm up and fight…hopefully for one final time. Judith picks up one of Michonne’s swords and Rick’s infamous python. She places Carl’s sheriff hat on R.J. Grimes.
The swan song of “The Walking Dead” has begun.
Surprisingly, the Outpost 22 variation of Alexandria is not the grand finale setting for the series. It seems as if the over-taking of the soldiers during last episode’s lineup resulted in the saving of Alexandria from Commonwealth command. Such a drastic win for...

With two episodes now remaining, “The Walking Dead” delivers one of the best episodes of the season. Following up after the weak “Outpost 22,” “Faith” gets the narrative completely back on track and elevates the tension in exciting ways. A revolt is heating up from within the survivors trapped at the labor camp all while Eugene is legitimately put on trial before a judge within the Commonwealth. The two competing main narratives couldn’t be more distinct, yet each of them has enough redeeming qualities and tension to keep viewers hooked.

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for The Walking Dead Season 11, Episode 22, “Faith.”] Hey, Father Gabriel (Seth Gilliam) made it through this one, too! Earlier in Season 11 when “Acts of God” aired, plenty of fans figured it might be curtains for “Father Not the Father.” Then, this close to the end of the AMC series, with an episode titled “Faith,” speculation bubbled up again — and again, Gabe beat the odds. But just because he’s not in too much danger in this episode doesn’t mean there’s safety for all the survivors; in fact, this installment involves a decent amount of peril for the main group, especially Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan). Jace Downs/AMC While the whole “faith” aspect of the episode centers around Ezekiel (Khary Payton) and his ability to inspire others to do the right thing, Negan eventually winds up staring down the (metaphorical) barbed-wire baseball bat. Three more episodes until the end of it all. The iconic zombie survival series reaches its highly-anticipated conclusion in just a few short weeks. Episode 21, titled “Outpost 22,” follows our survivors as they deal with their forceful abduction at the hands of the Commonwealth. With half the group doomed to work in a dreary labor camp, and the other scrambling through the woods evading Commonwealth soldiers, the show seems to be narratively backtracking at a time when it simply can’t afford to.
“Outpost 22” commits one of “The Walking Dead’s” most frequent sins. With only 3 episodes left in the entire series, the show’s iconic cast is completely spread out location-wise for the duration of this episode. Many of the characters simply scramble through uninteresting woodsy locales, evading completely mundane walker and commonwealth soldier encounters.
Some of the series’ worst low-points involved episodes where the main cast was split up and meandered through repetitive scenery.

As more people go missing, the remaining survivors scramble to track down their abducted friends, all while evading Pamela Milton’s widespread militia.
Much like the previous episodes, “What’s Been Lost” kicks off with an emotional montage chronicling another character’s (Carol) courageous journey throughout the apocalypse. “We all need people we can count on. And that’s not just about words, but action. Having the strength to put someone else’s life ahead of your own” Judith narrates.

The swan song for “The Walking Dead” continues with episode 19, properly titled “Variant.” Picking up in the aftermath of Sebastian’s accidental murder at the hands of Eugene, the Commonwealth is desperate to make an example out of him and Maxine. Meanwhile, Aaron, Lydia, Jerry, and Elijah (Okea Eme-Akwari) explore a new territory and uncover a terrifying revelation.
The biggest draw of this episode is the highly-anticipated re-introduction of the “Variant” walker, first seen in season 1 of the series and most recently hinted at in the after-credits scene of “The Walking Dead: World Beyond.” That’s right, this episode reveals a walker that can open doors, climb fences, and lift itself up onto ledges. Just when it seemed like walkers were the least of the survivors’ worries, this new evolution of the infected foe has re-established them as a key threat within the series.

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for The Walking Dead Season 11 Episode 19, “Variant.”] Remember way, way back in The Walking Dead’s first season, when those Atlanta walkers actually felt like a threat? They attempted to break department store windows, they climbed ladders, and, as the opening credits showed for several seasons, they turned doorknobs? Creepy…. After a gradual decline in walker intelligence over the years, “Variant” re-introduced that climbing, grabbing-things, door-opening version of the dead. Unfortunately, it’s a move that seems less a final obstacle for the survivors and more a tease for the inevitable spinoffs that have permeated these last episodes like a continual, ominous rumble of thunder. Jace Downs/AMC At the Commonwealth, Eugene’s (Josh McDermitt) whisked away to Gabriel’s (Seth Gilliam) church, the only safe place for him after his involvement in Sebastian’s (Teo Rapp-Olsson) death. But in a world where Eugene’s known love, “safe” just doesn’t cut it.

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for The Walking Dead Season 11, Episode 2, “A New Deal.”] Well, we’re definitely not getting The Walking Dead’s source material ending. That much is made clear by the surprising final minutes of “A New Deal,” which sees Sebastian Milton (Teo Rapp-Olsson) wind up as walker chow. Given the impact Sebastian has on that story’s final events in the comics, it’s a shock to those who expected something similar to happen on the show. But first, quite a bit happens in the episode before we get to his big death. Jace Downs/AMC Just as Team Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Hornsby (Josh Hamilton) are about to come to blows, Carol (Melissa McBride), Pamela Milton (Laila Robins) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) walk in. Pamela de-escalates the situation and takes Hornsby into custody for Sebastian’s crimes, but not without Daryl stabbing him ...

AMC’s “The Walking Dead” kicked off its final 8-episode run this past Sunday night with the episode “Lockdown,” directed by Greg Nicotero. A huge horror fan who has a long and hugely influential history with the horror genre, director/makeup effects master Greg Nicotero often works references to his favorite horror movies into the episodes of “The Walking Dead” that he directs, which have to date included nods to everything from Deadly Blessing to Lucio Fulci’s Zombie, along with several nods to the work of the late George A. Romero.
“Lockdown” was no exception this past Sunday, and it featured one of Nicotero’s coolest “Tribute Walkers” to date: a zombie made up to look like Robert Englund’s Freddy Krueger!
As Noah Levine noted in his review for Bloody Disgusting, “Horror fans will certainly notice a sewer-dwelling walker that bears quite a resemblance to iconic slasher Freddy Krueger.

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for The Walking Dead, Season 11, Episode 17, “Lockdown.”] The series pilot, “Days Gone Bye,” featured a car chase, and in a poetic bit of rhyming, “Lockdown”—The Walking Dead’s final premiere—features a car chase, too. Whether or not the writers planned that symmetry, “Lockdown” does a fair bit of reflection on the journey so far. The episode opens with narration from Judith (Cailey Fleming) about the people they’ve become and what the world is now, set to flashbacks from earlier seasons. In the spirit of the older seasons, “Lockdown” is surprisingly gory, too—a soldier gets torn in half by walkers. Does that make sense, given how deteriorated the walkers should be? Not really, but a decade in, we’re just going with it. Jace Downs/AMC Team Daryl (Norman Reedus) plans to take out Hornsby (Josh Hamilton) before he can radio back to the Commonwealth. They figure Negan...

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for The Walking Dead Season 11, Episode 16, “Acts of God.”] Everyone thinks the Almighty is on their side in “Acts of God,” and that might just be true. In addition to the Biblical connections (there is a literal plague of locusts), quite a bit happens in the show’s final midseason finale — and it sets up what should be an exciting final batch of eight episodes. As usual, the story is split into multiple threads; one is Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and her team, another is Daryl (Norman Reedus), Gabriel (Seth Gilliam) and Aaron (Ross Marquand), and the last is Team “Resist the Commonwealth.” Jace Downs/AMC Team Maggie, knowing that Maggie’s in grave danger gets her son and a few others who can’t fight out of the community. They’ll be staying with Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), who is taking cover in a convenient former Whisperers hidey-hole with his people...

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for The Walking Dead Season 11 episode 15, “Trust.”] As predicted, there is more to that Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Maggie (Lauren Cohan) moment in the 11A finale than meets the eye. Yep, watching the episode, we discover what is really going on there in “Trust.” Plus, Carol (Melissa McBride) struggles with her “second job,” Ezekiel (Khary Payton) tries to make a difference in ways that might get him killed, Mercer (Michael James Shaw) has a crisis of conscience and Eugene (Josh McDermitt) and the Resistance ask for a favor that could bring down the Miltons. Jace Downs/AMC Outside the Commonwealth, Hornsby (Josh Hamilton) investigates what happened at Riverbend. He doesn’t seem to believe Aaron (Ross Marquand) and Gabriel (Seth Gilliam)’s story, which leaves them the sole lucky survivors of an attack. Nonetheless, he doesn’t have much evidence to call their bluff, so he decides to refocus on what...

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for The Walking Dead Season 11, Episode 14 “The Rotten Core.”] A lot of things happen in “The Rotten Core.” More corruption at the heart of the Commonwealth is revealed, unsurprisingly related to Sebastian (Teo Rapp-Olson). A group consisting of Maggie (Lauren Cohan), Aaron (Ross Marquand), Gabriel (Seth Gilliam) and others work to free the Riverbend folks from Carlson (Jason Butler Harner). But perhaps the biggest shock of all has nothing to do with inter-community politics or missing guns or money. Negan. Is. Married!? Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) is not only wedded, but he’s expecting a child with Annie (Medina Senghore). This is… surprising, to say the least. Anyway, here’s how it all happens. Jace Downs/AMC At the Commonwealth, Rosita (Christian Serratos) and Daryl (Norman Reedus) are informed by a couple of soldiers that they’re reassigned to a new mission outside the walls after their regular morning briefing. Seem weird?...

The trailer focuses on Kendrick attending a friend’s wedding who just happens to be marrying the brother of her ex-boyfriend who unceremoniously dumped her via a text message. Stuck at the table at the back, full of fellow losers who no one cares about, friendships flourish as the bitter and twisted guests reveal themselves. Predictably could love also flourish for our protagonist? We can safely bet it does.

At the beginning of Table 19, we see Anna Kendrick struggling to decide whether to RSVP yes or no to a wedding invitation. She should have said no, and that might be the best advice for audiences thinking about seeing this film.
Kendrick plays Eloise, the ex-maid of honor at her best friend’s wedding, dropped after the best man, also the bride’s brother, suddenly broken up with her by text.
