- Loves to travel - as of Nov 2005, had been to 34 of 50 states amassing 365,000 frequent flyer miles. On trade in - last car had 97,000 miles on it after 5 years of random road trips.

- Looks young for his age. At 19, was challenged when buying a lottery ticket for his drivers license. Store Clerk didn't believe it was a real id -- and called the police, who came out and verified it was real to the clerk's embarrassment.

- Considers Rocky Mountain National Park during winter the most beautiful place he has ever been
- Loves shows like the "Gilmore Girls", "West Wing" (seasons 1-4), "Sports Night", "The Daily Show", "The Simpsons", because of their witty fast paced writing

- Went to kindergarden with the daughter of Troy Dungan, a longtime (30+ year) weatherman on the local WFAA Channel television
- At 17, volunteered at the Garland, Texas Library to dress up as Waldo from the "Where's Waldo" book series that was popular at the time. Was signing books "W - i found you too!" and taking pictures with the excited kids. Photos appeared in several local newspapers -- including the Dallas Morning News on June 3rd, 1992
- Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut - moved to Texas and lived in Richardson (until age 11), Wylie (until age 18), Plano (until age 26), The Colony (until age 29), and then bought his first house in Denton on his 29th birthday.
- Animal lover - especially horses and dogs.
- Flew into DFW Airport on a Braniff flight from New York - approx 30 minutes after the crash of Delta Flight 191 on August 2, 1985. While landing on opposite side of the airport, from the window saw burned out tail section in the distance. Two years later, he did a class research project on "What if it happened here in Wylie" where he interviewed local firemen in his neighborhood. He continues to have an interest in aircraft incidents
- Eclectic musical tastes - enjoys rock, country, electronica, new wave, classical and others. Says favorite songs remind of memories of the past and/or deep/ meaningful lyrics

- Frequents Subway for their meatball subs (on wheat bread, with pepperjack cheese, extra sauce, buried in parmesan, little lettuce, lots of tomato)
