The first season of Holy Family did not offer anything great when it came to storytelling. It was a regular family drama thriller with many convoluted subplots that tried hard to create tension between the family and friends. The second season is an extension of the story from the first installment. Holy Family is a Spanish Netflix original that was released on November 17, 2023, and was created by Manolo Caro.
The second season started with the chaos that was unleashed by Natalia and Gloria in their quest to hold onto Nico. With Natalia and Nico back in her custody, Gloria is close to getting her plan back on track, as she was awaiting Mariana’s passport as well. Her goal to move to Canada was still on, but many obstacles could foil her immigration plans. Natalia and her father Fernando, Marcos’ brother Felipe, and Gloria’s only daughter Mariana were going...

Spanish drama thrillers never go out of style. The theatrics and histrionics showcased in these shows never seem to end, and there is a large portion of the audience that enjoys such content. Elite, The Snow Girl, and Money Heist are some of the prime examples of thriller drama shows coming out of Netflix Spain. Holy Family is an eight-episodic series that was released last year and is about a family that seems to have decent social standing but is burdened by many secrets.

As I reflect on the final episode of Muted, only one lingering question arises in my mind: why the series leaves numerous unanswered questions and concludes abruptly without providing a satisfying resolution. In the previous episode, Sergio obtained a lot of information about his sister, including her address and phone number. He texted at the given number, which happened to be Ana’s. Ana, driven by her impulses, unexpectedly arrived at Sergio’s doorstep to lead him to his missing sister, Noa. However, Ana neglected to inform her team of her intentions, leaving them bewildered throughout her time with Sergio. Now, let’s discover if Ana manages to escape Sergio’s clutches and coax him into revealing the truth about what truly occurred that night when he killed his parents.

In the previous episode of Muted, Sergio discovered from his aunt that his sister, Noa, had been adopted by a different family. However, it was revealed that Ana and her husband, Benat, were the ones who had actually adopted Noa. Meanwhile, Cabrera was determined to sabotage Ana’s secret operation, despite the fact that its true purpose remained unclear. Natanael, on the other hand, saw an opportunity to gain publicity by assisting Sergio. However, Sergio saw through Natanael’s intentions and decided to keep his distance from him. Now, with Noa in Ana’s care, the question remains: will she be reunited with her brother? Let’s find out.

In the previous episode of Muted, Sergio was wrongfully arrested after getting involved in a fight with Eneko. However, Natanael came to Sergio’s aid by blackmailing Eneko. Natanael possessed footage of the actual altercation, revealing that Eneko had been the aggressor and had beaten up Sergio. With this evidence, Sergio was able to regain his freedom. After his release, Sergio had a meeting with Marta, and their connection grew stronger. Marta was able to create a space of trust in which Sergio felt comfortable opening up about his mother. He revealed a distressing childhood experience involving his mother, Blanca. Sergio disclosed that his mother used to lock him up and administer medication in an attempt to change his behavior. This traumatic event from his early years may be a significant factor in Sergio’s violent behavior toward his parents and, ultimately, their tragic death.

Spoiler Alert: The following story reveals major plot points from the Season 3 premiere of Starz’s Power Book II: Ghost.
Power Book II: Ghost dropped its third season premiere on Friday titled “Your Perception, Your Reality” and as expected, it’s filled with sadness and frustration following the tragic events of last season.
Monet (Mary J. Blige) is really going through it following the murder of her son Zeke (Daniel Bellomy). She’s lost her way and healing can only begin by her avenging his death—an eye for an eye. Being that her husband Lorenzo (Berto Colon) shot down Zeke accidentally in a case of mistaken identity, things are plenty complicated.
In the meantime, Monet is so enveloped in grief that she neither notices the internal struggle going on in the family nor that there’s a new baddie in town named Noma (Caroline Chikezie) who is searching for...

It's been a minute since we've been able to talk about a series in the Power Universe. And it's been a sad, sad time.
Luckily Power Book II: Ghost Season 3 Episode 1 is here to save us from ourselves and get us back into the world we've immersed ourselves in for the past 8-plus years.
And look, the original spinoff will just never go out of style. They've come back cool and confident and entertaining as ever. I'd even venture to say this may be the series' best-ever premiere.
Tariq has come a long way from the kid we met many years ago, coasting around the penthouse and failing miserably to stay out of trouble. He's long since grown up and shed a lot of the immaturity he once had, choosing instead to concentrate on school, so he can get his money and take care of himself and his family.
