Yesterday morning, Phil Lester tweeted a mysterious invitation calling all the internet to join him and Dan Howell on YouTube that evening. Phan theories instantly ran wild.
And they had a good reason to.
DanAndPhilGAMES is officially back.
For those who weren’t around for that particular chapter of YouTube history, here’s the tl;dr: Beginning in 2018, Howell and Lester regularly uploaded videos to their shared gaming channel. Many of the 279 uploads focused on their Sims game, where their digital child Dil had extensive lore and a rich, often chaotic life. The channel spawned a major fanbase and racked up hundreds of millions of views.
Then, in December 2018, DanAndPhilGAMES went silent. Both Howell and Lester took a creative break, with Howell especially quiet through June 2019, when he posted a video on his personal channel coming out as “basically” gay. (Lester followed with his own coming out video a month later.

Spoiler Alert: This contains spoilers from “The Changeling”, now streaming on AppleTV+
“The Changeling’s” latest episode steps back in time to New York — in 1982, to be precise.
For production designer Lester Cohen, he needed to find a place where he could build his red-light area and seedy hotel.
The episode begins with Lillian (Adina Porter) walking through the red-light district in New York where peep shows cost 25 cents. She is still trying to get hold of Apollo (Lakeith Stanfield), leaving him messages. It has been three weeks since he went missing. She enters the Elk Hotel, a seedy joint. Narrator Victor Lavalle, who also penned the book of the same name, describes it as “the shittiest hotel in the world.”
As it turns out, the hotel is 100 years old. The lobby decor is just as seedy — red and rancid. An old TV with the news is on when she...

One day in the distant future, horror fans are going to have a rude awakening. Eventually, every single idea that Stephen King has ever committed to the page is going to be adapted into a film or television series; it's inevitable. But until that sad day comes, let's all continue to focus on what spooky King property is coming down the pipeline next.
The sparse but undeniably creepy short story "The Boogeyman" from the "Night Shift" collection is being adapted by director Rob Savage from a script by Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, scribes for "A Quiet Place". Originally, the movie was set to premiere on Hulu this year until a well-received test screening and a winning endorsement from King himself convinced Disney's 20th Century Studios to release the film theatrically.

The final days of the Shakespearean tragedy that is "Succession" are upon us, and a lot of questions remain unanswered. Five years have passed since the series premiered, but just how much time has elapsed in the universe of the Roy family? Only a few key moments have indicated the passage of time over the series, but not every detail is consistent. Is the timeline meant to remain ambiguous, or is there a concrete answer to this oft-wondered fan question?
The show kicks off with Logan's birthday, where the Roy family is notably wearing coats, hats, and scarves. His daughter Shiv is anticipating an upcoming senate election, which is set to take place in several weeks. This indicates that Logan's birthday is likely sometime in the fall, cold enough for coats but still some weeks before early November. This places the beginning of the first season somewhere in late September...
