Written and Directed by Michael DeChant, Doug Gritzmacher
In one of the biggest paintball events ever staged, Soldiers of Paint follows D-day, an Oklahoma based paintball fight with 4000 participants. Fighting for glory, for fun and to remember the veterans of original event, this battle takes place across a 700-acre battlefield with participants utilising every means possible at their disposal to win this game of paint-fuelled fighting. That includes real tanks, aeroplanes and espionage techniques which will ultimately resolve who will win this epic battle, the Allies, or the Germans.
The soldiers of the Allied forces stand nervously in a boat as it floats towards their destination. They can hear sounds of battle in the distance and you can tell they are nervous as they clutch their weapons close to their chest. The boat thumps against the side of the lake and the front of the boat lowers with a crash.

DVD Release Date: May 21, 2013
Price: DVD $24.95
Studio: First Run Features
The 2012 documentary film Soldiers of Paint takes the world of paintball combat to a whole new level.
The film follows a dramatic battle involving 5,000 people who re-stage the Invasion of Normandy, or D-Day, in Oklahoma. Instead of bullets, the combatants use, yes, paintball artillery, and it’s any man’s game, which means the Germans could win! And these guys are serious. They spend all year preparing their battle strategies (including finding ways to spy on each other) and on game day they come ready to fight with full-size tanks, airplanes, and bazookas—all filled with paint, of course.
The battle takes place each year on a 700-acre piece of land owned by Dewayne Convirs, who takes on this endeavor as a tribute to his grandfather and, ultimately, in support of our veterans.
