Note: The following article contains spoilers for the “Ms. Marvel” finale.
It’s no secret that the star of the new Disney+ Marvel series “Ms. Marvel” — Kamala Khan played by Iman Vellani — is poised to appear in the upcoming “Captain Marvel” sequel “The Marvels.” But the “Ms. Marvel” finale credits scene teased Khan’s involvement in “Captain Marvel 2” in a big and perhaps surprising way.
As is customary for Marvel TV shows, the finale credits scene appears midway through the full credits, and begins with Khan laying on her bed in her Ms. Marvel uniform, now confident as a superhero (and perhaps also a mutant). But her bangles begin to buzz, and when she stands up to investigate, some kind of force blows her into her closet.
When she reappears, she’s not Kamala. She’s Captain Marvel, as played by Brie Larson. Captain Marvel looks around the room to...

As Disney+ releases the six episodes of "Ms. Marvel" this summer, Popsugar has exclusive interviews with the cast and creators about making the show come to life. This week, additional photography production designer Natasha Gerasimova chats with Popsugar about episode five, "Time and Again."
Natasha Gerasimova joined the "Ms. Marvel" team pretty late into the process. The show had already been filmed and edited, and the creative team was planning reshoots. Gerasimova tells Popsugar that when she came on board, there was a meeting of the minds to evaluate what needed to change to improve the show.
Gerasimova says the scope of the changes the show's creative team wanted to implement was extensive, so they had to be strategic about what could be re-edited and what they actually needed to reshoot. "The reshoots were pretty massive, so there was quite a big script restructuring, and a lot of episodes were reshuffled,...

This Ms. Marvel article contains spoilers.
In episode 4 of Ms. Marvel, Kamala meets a young man in a red scarf in the Karachi train station who matches her blow for blow, as well as zinger for zinger. But it turns out the mysterious stranger knows quite a bit about Kamala, her great-grandmother Aisha, and the ClanDestine. He’s the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s take on the Red Dagger, a masked Pakistani protector.
Who is the Red Dagger?
Played by Aramis Knight, the Red Dagger’s real name is Kareem (“Kimo” to his friends). The young hero is part of a secret society who protect Karachi and this dimension. The title of Red Dagger is sort of a “Dread Pirate Roberts” deal, where different warriors (and even multiple at once) have taken up the mantle for hundreds of years, to protect the people from “threats of the unseen.”

Ms. Marvel Episode 4
Even though there’s a lot going on in Ms. Marvel episode four, “Seeing Red”, we still we don’t learn a whole lot more than we did last week. It’s kinda par for the course with these MCU Disney+ shows, which almost always spin their narrative wheels in favor of some rote action and character development in their fourth episodes. I’m not mad about it. I’m happy to spend more time with Kamala, her mother, and her grandmother for the best part of an hour, before Kamala gets a shot at some real-life driver’s ed in a pretty fun chase sequence. Plus, I’m pretty sure that episode five will deliver quite a lot in terms of story resolution, as it looks like we will get to actually see what really happened to Aisha during Partition without the aid of flashbacks,...

Kevin Feige and Marvel have never been ones to shy away in recent years from exploring cultural diversity. The MCU’s latest Disney+ series, ‘Moon Knight proved that in fine fashion, and with its newest entry, Ms. Marvel, it reinforces their conviction by introducing the MCU’s first Muslim superhero.
The original series introduces Kamala Khan, a Muslim American teenager growing up in Jersey City. An avid gamer and a voracious fan-fiction scribe, Kamala is a Super Hero mega-fan with an oversized imagination – particularly when it comes to Captain Marvel. Yet Kamala feels like she doesn’t fit in at school and sometimes even at home – that is until she gets superpowers like the heroes she’s always looked up to.

“Ms. Marvel”, a six-episode series, is the newest entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, also known as the MCU. Debuting on Disney+ on June 8th, the series is based on the very popular comic book of the same name. However, this series takes the story into a whole new and exciting frame. I was granted an early look at the first two episodes, and they were so intriguing I can’t wait to see what happens next. But more on that in a minute!
First, let’s set the scene to give you a feel for the show.

"If you save one life... you save the world." Disney has debuted another new 60-second "Destiny" trailer for a new Marvel Studios series Ms. Marvel, a sort of spin-off from Captain Marvel, similar to the Hawkeye series about a nerdy fan of the Avengers who ends up becoming a superhero herself. Ms. Marvel introduces us to Kamala Khan, played by Iman Vellani, a 16-year-old Muslim Pakistani-American from Jersey City, NJ who writes superhero fan fiction. She discovers she has her own polymorphous (shape-shifting) powers. The series cast also includes Aramis Knight as "Red Dagger", Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Matt Lintz, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Nakli, and Azhar Usman. You know, I honestly think this looks pretty dang good. Like Hawkeye, I wasn't expecting to be into it, but I thoroughly enjoyed that series and there were a few outstanding episodes. Ms. Marvel might just be worth a watch,...

Disney+ series “Ms. Marvel” is set to electrify the big screen in Pakistan. The Marvel Studios series will have a theatrical release in Pakistan through a new initiative by licensee company Hkc Entertainment.
Disney+ currently does not stream direct-to-consumer in the nation, and since “Ms. Marvel” is centered on a Muslim-Pakistani teen — making her Marvel Studios’ first Muslim superhero lead — the decision to host a special theatrical event was a no-brainer for Hkc Entertainment CEO Hammad Chaudhry. The Eid-ul-Fitr holidays are also a cinema-going surge for Pakistani residents.
“The series is a wonderful celebration of Pakistani art, culture and talent as there is such a diverse engagement of Pakistani creatives across the board,” Chaudhry said, as reported by Variety. “We couldn’t have asked for a better Eid gift than this huge announcement.”

Marvel Studios’ new original series “Ms. Marvel” is to be given a unique theatrical release next month in Pakistan. The initiative is pioneered through licensee company Hkc Entertainment.
The decision to give the series a theatrical outing reflects several factors, including the show’s status as the first Marvel series to star a Muslim teen superhero as well as the omission of Pakistan in Walt Disney’s rollout of direct-to-consumer streaming platform Disney+. Other factors include the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays as a cinema-going peak and the underlying growth of the country’s cinema market, where “Spider-Man: No Way Home recently earned some 1.75 million from just 53 venues.
“Ms. Marvel” will be available on the Disney+ streaming service starting June 8, 2022. It will debut in Pakistani cinemas on June 16 with episodes 1 and 2 combined into a feature-length presentation. Episodes 3 and 4 will be similarly merged and release in Pakistan on June 30. Episodes 5 and 6 will release on...

Muslim-Pakistani teen Kamala Khan hails from New Jersey, is an avid gamer with an overactive imagination, and a fervent scribe of fan-fiction. Oh, and she also happens to have some crazy superpowers of her own once after exposure to a mist turns her into a polymorph and gives her body the ability to stretch in almost any way possible. Welcome Marvel Studios’ first Muslim superhero lead to the screen with “Ms. Marvel,” the latest Marvel Cinematic Universe series, which hits the Disney+ arrival June 8. Watch the trailer below.

In 2013, Marvel Comics introduced Kamala Khan, a Pakistani American teenager from New Jersey who idolizes Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel. By 2014, Kamala had superhuman abilities, her own solo series and her own superhero moniker — Ms. Marvel — making her the first Muslim superhero to headline a Marvel comic.
