X-Men ’97 has fascinated fans and critics. The series has certainly given fans a nostalgic experience, as the Disney+ show continued where it was left in X-Men: The Animated Series (1992–1997) with the original cast. Also, as the show premiered, several surprises have baffled fans with excitement.

The world of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is constantly growing and evolving, with several upcoming projects lined up for release or in development. Spider-Man is making a comeback in the cinematic neighborhood soon. This time around, though, he is coming in animation, but the excitement about it is no less. Fans were convinced that Marvel’s 2024 would be a barren desert as the highly anticipated movie Deadpool 3 was the only project scheduled to be released, but luckily that does seem to be the case.
Tom Holland as Spider-Man
Marvel Animation’s Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man must be ringing a bell in the minds of those fans, who were eagerly waiting for the web-slinger to have his animated show. With Disney releasing the logo for the show, fans might wonder about the possibility of any original MCU character appearing in the show, especially since Tom Holland is reportedly not a part of the project.
The one Marvel character that could have made an appearance in the show is Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man.

The X-Men are back — just not in live action.
Marvel Studios announced on Friday that the company is expanding its slate of animated series for Disney Plus with three new shows: “X-Men ’97,” “Spider-Man: Freshman Year,” and “Marvel Zombies.”
After Disney purchased 20th Century Fox in 2019, and the “X-Men” movie franchise was on its last legs with the poorly received “Dark Phoenix” and “The New Mutants,” many observers expected Marvel Studios to reboot the X-Men and reintegrate the characters back into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Instead, for its first swing at the team of powerful mutant superheroes, the company is reaching back to its own origin story: “X-Men ’97” will be a continuation of the beloved 1990s “X-Men” animated series that ran for five seasons on the Fox network from 1992 through 1997. The show — which debuted in primetime before moving to Saturday mornings — was such a sensation that it’s widely credited for...

Exclusive: We’ll be seeing a slew of music industry icons and visionaries portrayed in the upcoming second season of American Soul, the Don Cornelius-infused period drama, set for premiere on Bet in 2020.
American Soul takes an unflinching look at the entrepreneur, his Soul Train dancers, crew and musicians in an unforgiving Hollywood in the 1970’s – how they work, play, rise and fall against the backdrop of Soul Train — “the hippest trip in America” and one of the most predominant television shows for African American culture.
Inspired by the personal trials and professional successes of a young, ambitious and troubled impressario Cornelius, season two of the period drama picks up two years later in 1975. As Don, played by Sinqua Walls, becomes a rising star, he continues to manage an assortment of spectacular talent that comes to his show, a shaky family life, personal health and perhaps most importantly, his own ego.

This is why "Mad Men" is still TV's best drama.
My confidence may have been shaken by last week's uneven installment -- one of three average, momentum-stunting, episodes this season along with "The Flood" and "Man with a Plan" -- but as we've seen repeatedly in the past, be patient with "Mad Men" and you will be rewarded.
"Favors" was downright masterful in its confluence of storylines, major reveals and welcome callbacks. This was "Mad Men" craftsmanship at its finest, and while it provided several miserable developments in the characters' lives, it made us incredibly happy as viewers.
[Note: In the spirit of showrunner Matthew Weiner declaring that this season is about Dr. Arnold Rosen telling Don, "People will do anything to alleviate their anxiety," we're tracking the happiness of key characters week by week.]
The "Mad Men" happiness index, week ten:
1) Roger (last week, #1): This hasn't been a sterling season for Roger, who is reduced to juggling oranges and apologizing for courting possible conflicting business (Sunkist versus Ted's play for Ocean Spray). John Slattery must have needed a break after directing last week's episode.
2) Megan (last week,...

Reba McEntire's last sitcom, Reba, ran for six seasons on the WB and CW networks. Will Malibu Country, her new TV series, last as long or will it be quickly cancelled instead? Is it even worth watching?
Malibu Country revolves around the wife (Reba McEntire) of a country music star. After catching he's caught cheating, she moves the rest of her family from Nashville to the beaches of Malibu. As Reba tries to pick up her own singing career, the family discovers that sunny California is a very different world.
