Since its formation in 2019, All Elite Wrestling has put an emphasis on in-ring action, creating a much-needed alternative to WWE. Some would even say that there is too much emphasis on the wrestling itself and not enough flashy storytelling. But while the promotion is far from perfect, there are still many great arcs and rivalries that have come from Tony Khan smashing his action figures together.
Here is a look at the best storylines in Aew’s short history, from alcoholic cowboys to angry dinosaur men..
10. Jon Moxley Dismantles the Inner Circle
As inaugural Aew World Champion, Chris Jericho was able to survive challengers for months thanks in part to his faction, the Inner Circle. When it came time for Jon Moxley to step up and make a go for the belt, he had no allies to back him up. There was no faction warfare. It was just one man...

For the hundreds of talks and demonstrations of artificial intelligence at SXSW 2024, few moving-image projects at the festival utilized AI. Of the dozen or so, Adam Cole’s “Kiss/Crash” installation at the festival’s well-curated, multi-floor exhibition Xr Experience felt the most traditional, especially for an audience familiar with museum video exhibitions or experimental shorts.
Cole’s black-box exhibit centers on a short film (watch it below) that features a montage of romantic kissing, juxtaposed and melded with dated stock video of two cars colliding. The automobiles then reverse in slow motion and then smash into each other again, and again. As the pacing intensifies, the imagery grows increasingly sexual to the point of pornography, all while Ritchie Valens’ 1958 track “We Belong Together” keeps the imagery grounded in a dreamy 1950s sway that would make David Lynch happy.

Match #1: Aew World Championship Title Eliminator Match – Mjf vs. Adam Cole (Time Limit Draw) The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
They locked up and Mjf knocked down Cole with a shoulder tackle. Cole went for a thrust kick, but Mjf dodged it and went outside the ring to create some distance. Back in the ring, Mjf stomped a mudhole in Cole. Adam Cole pulled down Mjf and gave Mjf a taste of his own medicine. Mjf yanked Cole’s arm on an arm ringer snap. Mjf smelled blood in the water and went to work on Cole’s arm. Mjf applied a top wristlock. Mjf drove Cole shoulder first into the canvas.

Ring of Honor Television is in the books for another week. The company is building towards it’s 15th Anniversary Pay Per View event where the winner of the Decade of Excellence Tournament will face off against Ring of Honor World Champion Adam Cole. How did the show hold up this week?
The show opened with a great recap of New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Wrestle Kingdom 11 show where Kyle O’Reily was defeated by Adam Cole from The Bullet Club, winning the Ring of Honor World Championship in the process.
One thing I love about Ring of Honor is the working relationships they have with other companies like New Japan Pro Wrestling and Cmll in Mexico. Ring of Honor is not a big company in the United States so to have their world championship competed on a stage that rivals Wrestlemania says a lot for what these partnerships can bring.

Ex-nfl player Todd Marinovich is back in rehab ... TMZ Sports has learned. We spoke to Marinovich's lawyer, Adam Cole, who tells us the former USC star checked himself into a Southern California treatment center this week. As we previously reported, Marinovich was charged with several crimes -- including meth possession and public nudity -- after cops found him naked in a stranger's backyard back in August. The ex-qb was scheduled to appear in court this week,...

"You might say Baltimore is the best known Snowy yet." Time for something a bit different, but lots of fun. Secrets Of The Snowy Owl is a short documentary made by NPR's Skunk Bear team, featuring "owl sleuth" Adam Cole revealing the secrets of the Snowy Owl. The Snowy Owl is a certain species of owl that is well known, but not too much is known about them. The filmmaking in this doc is creative and engaging, with amusing animation and great footage of Cole's adventure to find a particular owl named Baltimore. It reminds me of another short we posted this year - The Shining Star of Losers Everywhere. Watch below. Thanks to Denise for the tip on this. Here's the brief synopsis for Secrets Of The Snowy Owl from YouTube: "We followed a young owl named Baltimore's Precise route from a beach in Maryland to an island in Canada.

1.Adam Cole came out victorious, as predicted by me last week, at Death Before Dishonor. It’s a well deserved victory for an up and coming star. What that victory, it caps Ring of Honor’s first real attempt at an episodic story line. One legitimate issue I’ve had with Ring of Honor television is the fact that apart from some rudimentary nods to their Pay Per Views, the shows have been random matches that have no real meaning. Wrestling is story telling. If we wanted to see two guys, or ladies, fight, we’d watch Mma. While the story was spotty, the fact they found a way to keep us viewed to the screen every week is a step in the right direction if the company hopes to expand. One bit of advice I have for Ring of Honor. Get Steve Corino back on color commentary! You have...

1.Ring of Honor will produce Death Before Dishonor Xiv tonight on Pay Per View. The Main Event will be Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Champion Jay Lethal squaring off against Adam Cole. The build up for the match may not have been stellar but the match itself should be great. With the push Adam Cole has received from the company since joining The Bullet Club, I expect him to take the title.
2.Alberto Del Rio, Paige, and Eva Marie have been suspended for their first time offense of the WWE Wellness Policy. There’s no word yet as to what substance they may have taken but it’s disappointing to hear of the suspensions nonetheless. However, the WWE has put themselves over a barrel with these announcements since they refuse to do anything about the recent Usada failure of Brock Lesnar which was handed down after his fight at Ufc...

1.This week on Roh Television, the main event for their Pay Per View event Death Before Dishonor was announced. Nigel McGuinness stated Adam Cole would face long time champion Jay Lethal for the Roh World Heavyweight Championship. The lead up to this match has been spotty at best which is really disappointing. Adam Cole joined with the Bullet Club faction at the Roh event Global Wars, finally giving a showcase to a performer who is on his way to becoming a big deal in the business. Over the past three weeks, he and the Young Bucks tag team, Matt and Nick Jackson, have been wrecking havoc on Ring of Honor television, including viciously taking out Kyle O’Reilly a couple weeks back after a match with Jay Lethal and last week shaving Jay Lethal bald. For too long, the Bullet Club in Ring of Honor has been treated like cool heroes,...

Ring of Honor’s Adam Cole was one of many within the pro wrestling industry inspired by Daniel Bryan. So when the 26-year-old watched the beloved superstar’s retirement announcement, it got him thinking about his own success and the impact the “American Dragon” had in making it possible. “I became a bigger wrestling fan because of guys like Daniel Bryan and Cm Punk,” Cole said. “When I first started wrestling, all I really watched was WWE. I caught on late to WCW and Ecw. Then, when I got the internet, I found out about guys like Cm Punk and Daniel Bryan. Two … Continue reading →

An April 2006 team scrimmage started off normally enough for Carolina Panthers star Kurt Coleman, then a 17-year-old college player at Ohio State University, but as the game progressed, tragedy struck. Coleman tackled his 20-year-old teammate Tyson Gentry, leaving him paralyzed from the waist down. "I juked to the outside, and Kurt kind of bit on that," Gentry told Espn. "So, that gave me the opening. Quarterback threw me the ball, and as the ball got there, Kurt caught up to me, reached over to tackled me and drove me down to the ground." That's when Gentry felt all sensation leave his body.

Figures Toy Co.
Top WWE officials are very upset that Ring of Honor and Figure Toy Company plan on releasing a Kevin Steen (Owens) action figure, according to a report in the Wrestling Observer.
They’re mad because WWE is pushing Owens as a big star right now and now Roh will enter the toy marketplace with an action figure for him before they can.
A big reason why they are upset is because the look of Kevin on Roh as Steen is the same to when he’s in WWE as Owens. It’s not like he’s out there playing a different character or changing up his look, which hurts WWE because then Roh could profit off what WWE is doing with him. The announcement was made about two weeks ago with Adam Cole and the Briscoes also getting action figures.

According to Lords of Pain and a handful of other outlets, WWE have sent feelers to former Ring of Honor World Champion, Adam Cole. It’s possible that the company is looking to add to its recent crop of signings. The most recent additions to the company’s roster have been Kenta, Fergal Devitt, and Kevin Steen, with Willie Mack reportedly signing a deal, as well. WWE has impressed many diehard wrestling fans with these new talent acquisitions. Now, it seems that Adam Cole may potentially be next on the list.
While he has yet to be offered a deal of any kind, this is a move by WWE to see if and how interested the indy standout would be in coming to the company. Furthermore, it’s very unlikely that WWE would sign a talent without seeing them firsthand. The feeler may be in regard to Cole coming...

If Ring of Honor ever gets their own Hall of Fame, and if Tna’s is still around in a few years, you can imagine that Christopher Daniels would be one of the few men on the planet to be inducted into both.
Daniels has been with both wrestling organizations from their inception (he first appeared on Tna’s fourth weekly pay-per-view, and main-evented the first Roh show), and been one of their best workers. Throughout the years, his character has evolved from a dark, religious menace to a man that just loves to have an appletini or two. Recently, he’s also taken his love of comic books into a new realm after writing his own comic “Christopher Daniels and Kazarian Wrestle Aw Yeah Comics.”
In a baffling decision, he was released from Tna earlier this year. However, Tna’s loss is Roh’s gain as Daniels and his...

We start with a recap of last week’s main event between Jay Lethal and El Generico, and Mike Bennett’s interference.
At the start of the show we are told that due to last week’s main event a new match has been added to Final Battle. I wonder what that could be.
Tonight’s main event will be a tag match between the Young Bucks and Future Shock (Kyle O‘Riley and Adam Cole).
We cut to Prince Nana putting over Tommasio Chiampa. Bacially a short promo about how strong he is and how he is the best, intercut with videos of his training routine. Fairly effective framing device.
Match One: Shiloh Jonze vs. Tommasio Ciampa w/ Prince Nana, Princess Mia & Ernesto Osiris
Winner: Tommasio Ciampa
Worth Watching?: Not really, it was just your standard squash match. Ciampa’s finisher is cool, though.
Next interview features the...
