Lester Ralph Jones was convicted Tuesday, in his second murder trial, of killing Paige Birgfeld — a Colorado mother of three who authorities say ran an escort service before she went missing in 2007.
Jones received a life sentence moments after a fresh panel of jurors found him guilty of kidnapping and murdering Birgfeld, whose remains were not discovered until 2012.
Detectives investigating the single mom’s disappearance — and later, her homicide — learned that Birgfeld juggled a number of jobs in order to support her children, including running an escort service under the pseudonym “Carrie.”

A romantic Disney fan has given his girlfriend a unique Valentine's present by having her painted as famous Disney Princesses.
Brian Flynn teamed up with illustrator Dylan Bonner to create the pictures.
Flynn said: "I want our relationship to be as epic and timeless as the animations we grew up on, so I decided to have us painted into some famous Disney scenes and surprise her for Valentines Day."
He added: "It's been a secret for 3 months, and I can't wait to show her!"
The paintings are from a variety of Disney films including Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid and Aladdin.
Artist Bonner was excited to be part of the project.
"I feel very lucky to have done these, especially after reading her say that girls like her didn't always get to identify with a Disney princess," she said. "I seriously love that I got to change that!

Last night Ubisoft's Art ot the Assassin Exhibit, featuring tons of art inspired by the upcoming game, finally landed in New York after it's nation-spanning tour. I got a chance to attend and snap a few (somewhat blurry) photos of several fantastic show pieces. Check them out after the break.
In no particular order (they were all so cool!) is a taste of what to expect if you get a chance to visit art space, The Hole, over the weekend. If you're also in town for New York Comic Con, ,you can check out Assassin's Creed III on the convention floor.
