Sean Barney is a producer in advertising who first made his leap into documentary as associate producer on the film, Anvil! The Story of Anvil, which premiered at Sundance and went on to win Best Documentary at International Documentary Association, Film Independent Spirit Awards, Austin Film Critics Association, LA Film Festival, Sydney Film Festival among many others. After a successful festival run, Sean oversaw the the independent theatrical distribution of the film, leading to an acquisition by VH1 and an Emmy Award for Outstanding Documentary.
He has continued producing both narrative and documentary content, including the the festival award winning documentaries Off The Floor and Walk By Faith, the film Live Bait for FOX Studio's Bite Size Horror anthology, and the Céline Dion video Ashes with Ryan Reynolds for Deadpool 2. In 2015 he teamed up with director Gabriel Olson to produce the film The Bridge Partner which was selected by Wes Craven for The CRAVEN Award and won Best Horror / Suspense Film at the 2015 Comic-Con after a 45 festival run around the world.
Sean has also produced over 150 TV commercials, music videos and other short form and long form pieces of narrative and documentary video content for brands and studios such as NBC Universal, Disney / ABC, Netflix, Marvel, CNN, Mercedes-Benz, Infiniti, Peloton, Electronic Arts, Nintendo, Microsoft, Coca-Cola, General Mills and many others.
