Harlan Bengel(1973-2019)

Harlan was born on August 22, 1973 in Las Vegas, Nevada to Jann Bengel,
a home maker, and Henry Bengel, an industrial pressman. He is the
youngest of four children and has two older brothers and an older
sister. Harlan enjoyed making short films with his video camera when he
was young and seemed destined to end up in the entertainment industry.
In his early teens, Harlan began studying ballet and soon after that
singing. He has starred in many theatrical productions and has danced
with such notable dance companies as the San Francisco Ballet,
Metropolitan Opera Ballet and Tulsa Ballet. He has also appeared on PBS
with tenor Placido Domingo in a gala televised with Washington National
Opera. His first movie role was as an extra in the Will Smith film
'Ali', in which he played one of the reporters at the title fight. His
first starring role was in 'Ana Kata'.
