I won’t say Mitch Fatel’s stand up routine in Mitch Fatel is Magical is obscene, but it’s definitely not one you’d want to let the kids in your family listen to. The man isn’t a very visual or animated comic, he really just stands up on stage and speaks in a very childish, altered voice. The few moments his arms do move away from his body are when he’s either pointing at someone in the audience as part of a joke (it happens twice, maybe three times) or when he’s imitating God as he models nipples for the human body. That’s actually a pretty common theme: anatomy. That really is the theme. Human anatomy and how Fatel can tie it in to sex. He’s really good at tying it in to sex.

Seattle – Dalton Trumbo was one of the biggest names in screenwriting who for the longest time wasn’t allowed to show his name on the screen. He won two Oscars, but wasn’t allowed to step onto the stage.
At the peak of his career in 1947, he was brought before the House Un-American Activities Committee to testify about communists in Hollywood films. Like other screenwriters before the Huac, he refused to answer the questions. Their decision to not name names got them blacklisted in the industry and sent to prison. After nearly a year behind bars, Dalton secretly returned to screenwriting. He used fake names and front writers on various project. It wasn’t till 1960 when his name accompanied Exodus and Spartacus that the blacklist was broken.

Mitch Fatel's new special, Mitch Fatel is Magical, debuts tonight at 11Pm on Comedy Central. And whether you agree that Mitch is, in fact, magical, depends heavily on two things. First, whether you like his delivery, which makes him look like an eight-year-old who has pulled you aside to tell you a really important secret about boogers, complete with a goofy smile at the end. And the second thing is whether you enjoy stand-up comedy about sex.
The more than one-hour of comedy on the DVD version of the special, which is the one I reviewed (it hits stores Tuesday with bonus interviews, animations, etc.), is devoted almost entirely to sex. In fact, the first ten minutes are devoted almost exclusively to boobs. He talks about the variation of nipple types, and how God went crazy on the day he made them - "Mrs. God's like, 'Come to bed,...

Tune in alert for Comedy Central's "Mitch Fatel Is Magical," which premieres this Friday at 11 Pm. Fatel's act centers on his favorite subject: sex. But as Punchline magazine notes, "He does it in such a way that you can't be offended." However, you will be delighted and enjoy nonstop laughter on "Mitch Fatel Is Magical," his first one-hourComedy Central special. Not "blue" humor, but sly and cleverly done as he talks about a subject "that's veryspiritual to me, and one of the most beautiful acts," he explains. In fact, "I despise gratuitous sex or nude scenes in movie. I don't think they're needed," notes Fatel. "When I'm going to see a movie, I don't need to...

Comic Mitch Fatel debuts on Comedy Central this September 18. His show, "Mitch Fatel Is Magical," premieres on the network at 10 Pm. It's a fitting title for observational humorist's first Comedy Central one-hour special, and he lives up to the notion when it debuts Friday, September 18 at 11 Pm,followed immediately by its release on DVD. Fatel turns out wicked observations and slings delicious bon mots on thesubjects of women and sex. His art is based on a lot of truth. "People always say to me that I'm different offstage than I am onstage," he shared with M&C. "I always say, oddly enough, I think the person onstage is more thereal me. I think that it's me...
