Ben Price wants people to ''love and hate'' his 'Coronation Street' character. The former 'Footballer's Wives' star is taking over the role of Nick Tilsley - most recently played by Adam Rickett - and is planning to put his own spin on the character. He said: ''Nick's been away, he's grown up and become very good at manipulating people. I'm hoping to give him a side where viewers love him and hate him at the same time. Coronation Street actress Michelle Keegan has admitted that she found it "strange" kissing new co-star Ben Price on his first day of filming. Reflecting on the plot twist, Keegan told The Mirror: "I had to do those scenes with Ben on his very first day - I'd never even met him before. You do get used to kissing someone but when it's someone new it feels a little bit awkward at first. (more)...

He said: ''I can do something different with it. Nick's got to be a bit harder now. He's got to start running the Street and looking after his mum and start to get his brother David into place, so I think it's good that they went with someone else.'' Ben also says he made a conscious effort to bring something new to the role as he ..

Coronation Street newcomer Ben Price has backed Olly Murs to win this year's series of The X Factor. The 37-year-old - who has been cast as the Weatherfield soap's third incarnation of Nick Tilsley - believes that the Essex-born finalist possesses the right mixture of stage presence and personality to win the competition. Speaking to Digital Spy, Price said: "I like Olly. He seems a really nice guy as well and I'd like to see him carry on like Will Young. The good ones carry on even if they don't win it, too - look at Jls. What you see in the programme (more)...
