Niabi Caldwell was born in rural Virginia and gained a degree from
Virginia Commonwealth University before moving to New York and studying
acting at the William Esper Studio. In addition to acting she is also a
professionally trained stunt woman.
Niabi has acted in various stage productions as well as on screen and
has also worked as a fashion model. She once worked as a knife
thrower's assistant, a job she sought out after being inspired by
seeing the movie Girl On The Bridge. She combined this dangerous
occupation with acting by appearing in the stage play Pincushion,
written by Clay McLeod Chapman, in which she delivered a monologue
while a knife thrower threw real knives around her.
