An interview with the animators of Fantastic Mr. Fox (Directed by Wes Anderson, Starring Adrien Brody, Bill Murray, George Clooney, Jason Schwartzman, Meryl Streep, Michael Gambon, Owen Wilson and Willem Dafoe). Pure Movies caught up with animators Ian McKinnon, Andy Biddle and Andy Ghent to discuss just how they put the pieces together on Wes Anderson's Fantastic Mr. Fox. Can you talk us through the process of making the film – looks like quite a painstaking process? Andy Biddle: Any animated film is quite painstaking. If you ask an animator how much footage they do in a day, it depends on the production, but for Fantastic Mr Fox it was about 4 seconds of footage a day. The style that Wes Anderson wanted was quite fast and character-based action. It was quite involved.
