King Charles III’s first year on the throne is to be explored in a BBC documentary narrated by Helena Bonham Carter.
Charles III: The Coronation Year will air next month, as viewers are taken behind the scenes via exclusive access to see the landmark moments of the king and his wife, Queen Camilla’s, first year since the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
Filmed as Buckingham Palace prepared for, delivered, and celebrated the first Coronation in 70 years in May, and in the months that followed, the doc features contributions from members of the Royal Family and key players in The King and Queen’s Household.
Bonham Carter, who played Princess Margaret in Seasons 3 and 4 of The Crown, is narrating.

“The Greatest Game,” a documentary about the England 2019 cricket World Cup final, has been snapped up by Sky for the U.K. and Ireland.
Directed by Ashley Gething, the 90-minute film tells the story of England’s last-gasp victory over New Zealand to win the 2019 cricket World Cup. With first-person accounts from every member of the team, the documentary goes behind the scenes and provides a look at what it took to achieve the victory.
“The Greatest Game” is produced by Sylver Entertainment (“McEnroe”) in collaboration with Starfield Films and Pitch Productions. Victoria Barrell and Simon Lazenby of Sylver Entertainment serve as producers of the film while former cricketer and Starfield Film’s co-founder Simon Hughes is executive producer and co-wrote the film with Gething. Pitch Productions, known for their work on “Neymar: The Perfect Chaos” and “The Figo Affair” are co-producers and will also handle worldwide sales of the film.

HBO has acquired Oxford Film and Television’s documentary about the life and work of Princess Diana, which is shaped around interviews with The Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry, among others. “This film will show Princess Diana in a way she has never been seen before, through the eyes of the two people who knew her best,” executive producer Nick Kent said Tuesday morning in a media release. The documentary will also include new archival footage. Also Read: HBO to Make 'Wag the Dog' TV Adaptation Ashley Gething will produce and direct the doc, which airs overseas on ITV.
